I have a custom MKAnnotationView which I have customised according to the documentation of Apple Docs.
So far it's been really nice to follow it because it was very neat and clean code and I haven't used any third party for it. Here's the screenshot of it.
Now I am stuck at the UI part of it, making callout look like native callout. I don't want to use any other third party in which I would have to redo my work or I have to abandoned guidelines of Apple.
So I guess I am looking for a simple solution which I can make in my Callout View's xib or similar.

Ok so I have finally figured out a way. I was loading the callout view from a nib and I have made changing in it to mimic the native look. I have embedded my icons/uiimageview's into another uiview. Parent view will be transparent and child view(that contains all the icons now) will have another uiimageview(with callout arrow) at it's centre bottom.
This solved my problem.

I have a 2 UIViewController(s), I need to be able to change the views at the bottom of the Airtime and Data Plan Upon tap gesture on Airtime and Data Plan!
The yellow line will indicate the active view controller. some thing like tab bar.

This is pretty simple and easy to use with examples. It should put you in the right direction without writing a lot of code.
iOS 7 has changed how maps are displayed by apps on the iPhone, and especially how the user configures the map.
The map is displayed like this, with an Info button.
When the user taps the Info button, the configuration screen slides up.
How do I recreate a screen overlay like this in my code? While I don't want the user to be dropping pins, I want the user to be able to switch between different map styles or open the address I'm pointing to in Apple's Maps app.
If you are trying to do a simple overlay view, then look into making an UIView slide up through UIView animations. Other than that, you would need an UISegmentedControl and related code. You would also need to blur the view and make it translucent, so look into my other question and answer on how to properly blur an UIView:How to apply blur to a UIView?
I've never looked into it, but I've heard the only easy way to do a translucent background (as in, without writing your own OpenGL code) is to create a UIToolbar instance.
I'm guessing you'd make a toolbar with no items, just treat it like UIView and add your own subviews (UITableView, etc). It is a subclass of UIView.

There's nothing to stop you using a UIToolbar.
Create a UIView as a base view with clear background, add a UIToolbar anchored to it's edges so it fills the view and then add your other controls to your base view above the toolbar.

The blurring effect is not available as a public API. There are third party implementations available, such as FXBlurView, which I can recommend.
You shouldn't really be using a toolbar. It's called toolbar for a reason.
One way to go would be to take a snapshot image of your background and blur it (you can use UIImage+ImageEffects category included in Apple samples to achieve consistent effect).
You can then just crop the image to desired frame and use it as a background of your button.
Are you looking to have a 'dynamic' blur effect (like in Control Center)? It's still doable, but it makes things more complicated.

Is there a way to get custom callouts on a regular UIView in iOS?
What I am looking for is a solution similar to Quickactions in Android.

Short answer is NO, there is no built-in way to get something like this. However, you can build your own custom callout UIView and add it as a subview to the parent view.
for an iPad application in ios5.0 and arc, I need to create a button that has an image covering the entire button, and needs to have another transparent image at the bottom half of this button image OR have the button text label covering the bottom half of this button image.
In posts on this site I've read that using button subclass to just change the appearance of the UiButton should not be done. However, if I don't subclass, can I add these transparent image/and shift the button label? if so, how?
In case I need to add properties to the button, what is the best way to go about it.
If subclassing is the only option, can you also pls give pointers on what are the methods that i must absolutely override and any other such memory/performance considerations that I must keep in mind

I don't agree on "subclassing UIButton is not good". That's exactly why inheritance and subclassing mechanisms exist. In all platforms, the framework provides a base foundation for general needs, and you do extend them in the case standard stuff does not satisfy your needs. And you do it by subclassing.
As long as you know what you do, and what you do works for you and solves your problem, you're fine.
When you subclass UIButton, depending on what you actually want to achieve, you may want to override init:, initWithRect:, layoutSubviews:, awakeFromNib: methods.
