Manually set spring security auth remember me - spring-security

In implementing the apps login,I want to use the spring security to set who logins,but how to set remember? My UserLogin likes this.

Your class should wire in the RememberMeServices bean being used in your application.
Once the authentication code you listed above executes, you should call the following:
rememberMeServices.loginSuccess(request, response, authentication);
The request passed into the method must have the remember me parameter (default _spring_security_remember_me) set to true as the call checks the request to make sure remember me was indicated.

The actual implementing class depends on what type of remember me you implemented/indicatd in your application.

Spring OAuth2 Resource Server - user-name-attribute not reflected in SecurityContextHolder

I have a claim named user_name within my JWT and also corresponding user-name-attribute set as user_name in spring security oauth2 client provider proper property:

I can also see this property is properly being read by ReactiveClientRegistrationRepository class (ClientRegistration.ProviderDetails.UserInfoEndpoint). But when I read SecurityContextHolder.getContext().getAuthentication().getName() on Resource Server I can see the value taken from (default) sub - IdTokenClaimNames.SUB claim.
Why is that? Do I still miss some additional configuration also on resource server side to have specified user-name-attribute taken and returned by SecurityContextHolder.getContext().getAuthentication().getName() on Resource Server? I understand that only Bearer token (and maybe some cookies) is being sent from client to resource server so maybe also some other filter is needed on Gateway/client side - just guessing?
The reason is that you are using a property prefixed with security.oauth2.client, which is intended for OAuth 2.0 Clients.
In Spring Security 5.2.x, there is no Spring Boot property to indicate a user name attribute to Resource Server, e.g. security.oauth2.resourceserver.xyz
You could publish your own Converter to the DSL, though:

I have an API Gateway implemented using Spring Cloud Gateway that uses Spring Security. Spring Security for WebFlux is implemented as a WebFilter right at the beginning of the filter chain. So after successful authentication the request would be forwarded to Spring Cloud Gateway's RoutePredicateHandlerMapping, which would try to deduce the destination based on the URL pattern, and then it would go to a FilteringWebHandler to execute the other filters of Spring Cloud Gateway.
My problem is the following: I have implemented a customized authentication algorithm which uses query string and header variables as credentials for authentication according to the requirements of the project, an this is working without any problem. The problem occurred when we needed to add a small customization for the authentication algorithm that is path independent. When the request reaches the WebFilter of Spring Security, pattern matching is not yet done so I do not know which application does it point to, for example:

Which means that instead of having authentication -> route mapping -> filtering web handler I should do route mapping -> authentication -> filtering web handler. Not that these three components are not similar, one of them is a filter another is a mapper and the last one is web handler. Now I know how to customize them but the problem is that I do not know how to intercept the Netty server building process in order to change the order of these operations. I need to wait for the building process to end and alter the content of the server before it starts. How can I do that?

So here is how I did it:
Goal: removing the WebFilter of Spring Security from the default HttpHandler, and inserting it between RoutePredicateRouteMapping and the FilteringWebHandler of Spring Cloud Gateway
Why: Because I need to know the Application ID while carrying on my customized authentication process. This Application ID is attached to the request by the RoutePredicateRouteMapping by matching the request's URL to a predefined list.
How did I do it:
1- Removing the WebFilter of Spring Security
I created an HttpHandler bean that invokes the default WebHttpHandlerBuilder and then customize the filters. As a bonus, I removed unneeded filters in order to increase the performance of my API Gateway

Spring Security for WebFlux is implemented as a WebFilter which is executed almost as soon as a request is received. I have implemented custom authentication converter and authentication manager which would extract some variables from the header and URL and use them for authentication. This is working without any problem.
Now I needed to add another variable taken from RoutePredicateRouteMapping before authentication is done. What I want exactly is to remove the WebFilter (called WebFilterChainProxy) from its current position and put it between the RoutePredicateRouteMapping and the FilteringWeHandler.
Here is how the default process goes:
ChannelOperations calls ReactorHttpHandlerAdapter which calls HttpWebHandlerAdapter, ExceptionHandlingWebHandler, and then org.springframework.web.server.handler.FilterWebHandler.
This WebHandler would invoke its filters and then call the DispatchHandler. One of those filters is the WebFilterChainProxy that does the authentication for Spring Security. So first step is removing the filter from here.
Now the DispatchHandler which is called after the filters would invoke RoutePredicateHandlerMapping, which would analyze the routes and give me the route ID that I need, and then it would call the org.springframework.cloud.gateway.handler.FilteringHandler (this is not the same FilteringHandler above), and that in turn would call the other filters of the Spring Cloud Gateway. What I want here is to invoke the filter after RoutePredicatehandlerMapping and before org.springframework.cloud.gateway.handler.FilteringHandler.
What I ended doing was the following:
I created and WebHttpHandlerBuilder that would remove WebFilterChainProxy and pass it as a parameter to a customized DispatcherHandler. Now that the filter is removed the request would pass the first layers without requiring authentication. In my customized DispatcherHandler I would invoke the RoutePredicateHandlerMapping and then pass the exchange variable to the WebFilterChainProxy to do the authentication before passing it to the org.springframework.cloud.gateway.handler.FilteringHandler, which worked perfectly!
I still think that I'm over engineering it and I hope that there is a way to do it using annotations and configuration beans instead of all these customized classes (WebHttpHandlerBuilder and DispatcherHandler).
You should probably implement that security filter as a proper GatewayFilter, since only those are aware of the other GatewayFilter instances and can be ordered accordingly. In your case, you probably want to order it after the routing one.

I had a similar problem. The accepted solution, while interesting, was a bit drastic for me. I was able to make it work simply by adding my custom filter before SecurityWebFiltersOrder.AUTHENTICATION in the security configuration. This is similar to what I've done with success in a regular Spring mvc application.
Here's an example using oauth authentication. tokenIntrospector is my custom introspector, and requestInitializationFilter is the filter that grabs the tenant id and stashes it in the context.

How do I dynamically specify OAuth2 resource details in Spring Security?

I'm creating an application integrating with Shopify's API, which uses OAuth2 for authentication and authorization. Using the tutorial for Spring Security OAuth2, and the tutorial for Shopify, I've been able to get integration working with a single shop. The YAML configuration looks like this:

However, this static configuration won't work for an app published in Shopify's App Store because the redirect, access token, user info, and user authorization URIs depend on the shop name. There are examples of using more than one provider, but they still have to be static.
To allow these URI's to be dynamic, I've come up with a few possible options:
Use a parameter in the /login path to identify the shop, then create a filter that adds the shop name to a ThreadLocal that runs before everything else, then dynamically create the AuthorizationCodeResourceDetails that is needed by the OAuth2 filter via a Spring proxied factory bean.
Use a sort of "metafilter" that dynamically recreates the OAuth2ClientAuthenticationProcessingFilter per request along with all of the resources that it needs.
Override OAuth2ClientAuthenticationProcessingFilter so that it can handle recreating the RestTemplate it needs to obtain the access token.
All of these options seem pretty difficult. What's a good way to handle dynamically-generated URI's for access tokens and user information in Spring Security OAuth2?
Also, since I'm new to OAuth2 in general, do I need to enable a Resource Server in my Spring configuration to protect my app with the access token?

I'm having the same problem you are and I'm leaning toward your first theory of using ThreadLocal storage. Here is how I'll probably go about my solution:
Set values from ServletRequest in LocalThread storage by overriding methods in OAuth2ClientAuthenticationProcessingFilter:

Then translate the URI's within the OAuth2RestTemplate by overriding the followign methods:

How does the redirect_uri set itself to the correct value in Katana OAuth clients?

If you look at the code snippets below, Katana sets the redirect_uri / callback path to some strange value for all providers.

The callback path is different from the redirect_uri you are thinking of. For the purposes of this explanation,
CallbackPath is the URI in your app that handles responses from the Identity Provider
RedirectUri is the resource the user is trying to access
redirect_uri is the parameter of the oAuth request
If you look in the ApplyResponseChallengeAsync() method of the xxxAuthenticationHandler class, you will see where properties.RedirectUri is set to the current URI, unless you have specified your own value in the RedirectToIdentityProvider notification. In the redirect to the Identity Provider, redirect_uri is set to the CallbackPath, and the properties object is passed along in the state parameter.
When the Identity Provider redirects back to your app (specifically, the CallbackPath), the Invoke method is called, which in turn calls InvokeReplyPathAsync(), which then checks if the current URI is the CallbackPath before executing. Then, the RedirectUri is retrieved from the properties object, the ClaimsPrincipal object is built, and the user is then redirected to their ultimate destination, the RedirectUri.

How to add parameters to redirect_uri in WebApi Oauth Owin authentication process?

I'm creating a webapi project with oauth bearer token authenthication and external login providers (google, twitter, facebook etc.). I started with the basic VS 2013 template and got everything to work fine!
However, after a user successfully logs is, the owin infrastructure creates a redirect with the folllowing structure:
http://some.url/#access_token=<the access token>&token_type=bearer&expires_in=1209600
In my server code I want to add an additional parameter to this redirect because in the registration process of my app, a new user needs to first confirm and accept the usage license before he/she is registered as a user. Therefore I want to add the parameter "requiresConfirmation=true" to the redirect. However, I've no clue about how to do this. I tried setting AuthenticationResponseChallenge.Properties.RedirectUri of the AuthenticationManager but this doesn't seem to have any affect.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
It should be relatively easy with the AuthorizationEndpointResponse notification:
In your custom OAuthAuthorizationServerProvider implementation, simply override AuthorizationEndpointResponse to extract your extra parameter from the ambient response grant, which is created when you call IOwinContext.Authentication.SignIn(properties, identity).
You can then add a custom requiresConfirmation parameter to AdditionalResponseParameters: it will be automatically added to the callback URL (i.e in the fragment when using the implicit flow):
