Hide Page Indicator Dot in WatchKit? - ios

I'm new to native development on xcode and have gotten started working with WatchKit to put together a Watch extension for my HTML5 hybrid app. I'm trying to figure out how to hide the indicator dot on a page-based app view. It looks like the iOS analogue provides the ability to hide the dot, but I can't seem to find anything for WatchKit. The Apple reference site doesn't appear to indicate any such functionality, and don't see any config in the storyboard. I've Googled and searched on StackOverflow, and haven't found anything there either.
Is it possible to hide the page indicator dot on a page-based app view? If so, how might I accomplish this?

It is currently not possible to hide page indicator.

Action Extension with UI without covering whole screen?

I am currently trying trying to implement an Action Extension that transforms content on a Safari web page through Google's Translation API.
My issue is that I would like to display some UI on the screen without covering the whole screen, but no matter what I do that doesn't seem to work.
I have tried the following:
Setting this in the info.plist
<key>NSExtensionActionWantsFullScreenPresentation</key>
<false/>
Trying to change the content size in the interface builder to the following
https://imgur.com/a/gfYvFiD (Uploading images through stack isn't working for some reason)
Giving the UI a clear background color (always ends up being grey after the presentation is complete)
Setting the presentation style to be over current context.
Now i have seen a similar question where the accepted response was that it cannot be done due to Apple restrictions (https://stackoverflow.com/a/38764183/10058854), but I have seen some apps that seem to do it.
For example, iTranslate:
https://imgur.com/a/QpFo5St
The above 2 images clearly show that they have created an Action Extension and that the added UI is just the bar at the bottom of the web view.
Any help would be much appreciated, and thank you for reading this.

Tabbed iOS WebKit Browser with Swift

In short I am trying to build some typical browser functionalities in a Swift iOS app with WKWebViews (WebKit). I already have a functioning browser based on a WKWebView, which already has a menu bar with a URL input, navigation buttons, a share button, page title etc.
What I am struggling with is creating tabs for the browser. At first this seemed trivial as surely WKWebViews would support this in some way. Well, as far as I can tell they do not (looked at and tried multiple tutorials incl. hackingwithswift, Ray Wenderlich etc. + I checked Apple's documentation + stackoverflow)
This is what I have come up with so far:
1) Creating a new tab/opening a new URL should create a new UIView + WKWebView programmatically (I'll have to make a subclass out of my current browser view)
=> this should create a separate thread for each WKWebView/tab according to Apple's documentation
2) I need something like a Collection View (or Stack Views etc.) to store screenshot images of the already open tabs as a preview page of all tabs. The cells should be linked via a delegate to the corresponding WkWebView and they should have a close button to close (= delete) the tabs.
Am I overthinking this? If I go down this path I have to find a way to wire up (and subsequently delete) multiple delegates and views to the Collection View dynamically and I have to store & delete screenshots every time the user interacts with the tabs. It seems VERY messy. But given that Chrome on iOS is based on WebKit as of late, it's obviously doable.
How would you tackle this problem?
PS I didn't include a mockup because you all know how the tabs in Chrome, Safari etc. on iOS look like.
EDIT:
I am just looking for a clean and sensible way to add/remove and show the multiple WKWebViews, which are created by opening new tabs - just like in Chrome for iOS or Safari etc.
Ok, I have solved this today :) I will have a main UIView and then multiple WKWebViews, which can be "zoomed in" in order to enter full screen mode. No need for screenshots etc.

Replicate iOS Pattern: Instagram Search-Style Swiping Tabs

I'm starting a new iOS project in Swift, and my experience programming native iOS applications is minimal, so please bear with me if I use some whacky terminology or overlook some simple solutions.
I'm looking to replicate a pattern in the Instagram application, as seen here:
Selected Tab
Swiping Transition
For those who don't use Instagram, what's essentially going on here is something like a UIPageViewController (with swiping functionality), but with the tabs on top indicating the selected page.
Like in Instagram, I'm planning to have this functionality within a child UIViewController of a UITabBarController (you can see the "main" tabs on the bottom).
What I started out doing was creating static tabs and adding left and right gesture recognizers to the child UIViewController, which would change the page and update the indicator of the selected page on the tabs.
This works but I'm not really loving the way it looks, nor the way it's written. I don't like the idea of needing 2 instances of the tabs, and that certainly doesn't seem to be the way Instagram is doing it, because as shown in the second image, the indicator slides between the tabs.
I've searched a fair bit, but all references to replicating Instagram patterns seem to be outdated and don't address this specific element. Like I said, though, I haven't been programming native iOS for very long (I'm an Android developer and have used Xamarin for iOS), so it's possible I'm just not using the right keywords.
I'd appreciate any help y'all can offer!
Thanks

Multiple webview in an app or one

I'm creating an ios/android app that is implemented with partially native code and html5/css and built-in mobile webkit, I need to make it support both ios and Android, hence the html5/css selection. In my app I created a tabbar with 4 tab buttons, each tabview contains a webview, the tabs and tabbars are implemented natively, meaning the code for this is either objective-c or Java. What happens in those webviews are html5/css/js... I wonder if this is the appropriate way to implement it, or should I wrap the whole thing up in one single webview, and implement everything using html5, including the tabbar. Or let me ask this way, what did facebook do with its tabbars in its app? I'm concerning about user experience and seamless transition/animation.
If I can mimic the native ios/Android tabbar using html5, how may I? Anyone could maybe provide a link to a tutorial? Thanks!

How can I keep the navigation bar at the top of the screen when scrolling?

I'm working on an iPad app in Xamarin that (among other things) will download PDFs from a file system and show them in a webview. When scrolling through the webview to read a PDF, I've been asked to keep the navigation bar at the top of the screen. It currently goes away once the user has scrolled down at all.
I searched for how to do this and for a question like this here, but did not find anything related to mobile development. I would think this is something others have tried, but perhaps this goes against Apple guidelines? If anyone has found something stating that, I'll take that as an answer or any sample code of an implementation of this would be greatly appreciated.
Create UIVIew and add there navigationBar. Under you navBar add webView. That's all.
