I am trying to get suggestions or autocomplete for Twitter friends. This is my code:
ConfigurationBuilder builder = new ConfigurationBuilder();
builder.setOAuthConsumerKey(PropertiesLoader.getProperty("twitter_consumer_key"));
builder.setOAuthConsumerSecret(PropertiesLoader.getProperty("twitter_consumer_secret"));
Configuration configuration = builder.build();
TwitterFactory factory = new TwitterFactory(configuration);
Twitter twitter = factory.getInstance();
twitter.setOAuthAccessToken(new AccessToken("[TOKEN]", "[SECRET]"));
ResponseList<twitter4j.User> users = null;
try {
users = twitter.searchUsers("sah", 1);
} catch (TwitterException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
}
System.out.println(users);
This returns me the list of user suggestions. But it is not ordered by relevancy. When I search on search.twitter.com it is ordered as first my friends who match the query and then unknown people. But here it is not ordered this way. How do I use this to order it correctly?
The documentation for User Search shows that there is no way to order the results. In this respect, the API is different from the website.
That said, there is a way that you can manually sort through the users returned. Your returned set of results should include entities.
In that entity, you will see some fields such as
"friends_count": 28,
"profile_background_image_url": "http://a0.twimg.com/656932170/urr667rpqtg6l7psohaf.png",
"default_profile_image": false,
"statuses_count": 338,
"screen_name": "example",
"following": true
That last one "following": true shows that the requesting user is following that user.
If you are in any doubt about the nature of the relationship, you can use friendships/show.

Starting with a sample oauth app I am trying to retrieve info about an online meeting that occurred.
Create the client:
var graphClient = _graphServiceClientFactory.GetAuthenticatedGraphClient((ClaimsIdentity)User.Identity);
Make request:
var returnObj = await graphClient.Me.OnlineMeetings.CreateOrGet(meetingID).Request().PostAsync();
The problem is the lack of information returned. I am trying to retrive the chat from the meeting, which seems like it should be in returnObj.ChatInfo but this is all I get back:
{
"threadId":"19:meeting_SOMELONGUNIQUESTRINGHERE#thread.v2",
"messageId":"0",
"#odata.type":"microsoft.graph.chatInfo"
}
Also missing are the attendees in Participants (count=0). I know there are non zero attendees and that a chat log exists.
Trying Select or Expand does not help. Select returns nothing new,and expand gives an error along the lines of Message: Parsing OData Select and Expand failed: Property 'participants' on type 'microsoft.graph.onlineMeeting' is not a navigation property or complex property. Only navigation properties can be expanded., and similarly for chatinfo.
Also, using the threadId I thought maybe I could do this:
var groups = await graphClient.Groups.Request().GetAsync();
Group group = groups[0];
ConversationThread chat;
chat = await graphClient.Groups[group.Id].Threads[chatId].Request().GetAsync();
where for chatId I used the threadId from chatinfo, wholey and parsed out in different ways but I get Not Found.
No idea if what I'm trying to do is even possible as the documentation is rather lacking in terms of tying different pieces together (Like what is the threadId for? where is it used?).
Also, here are the various scopes I am requesting
"GraphScopes": "User.Read User.ReadBasic.All Mail.Send OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite Group.Read.All Team.ReadBasic.All"
According to the document, I can list the Office 365 Groups by using the following Graph API:
GET https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups
I have a C# Web application, and there is a input for searching by the Group DisplayName. Any idea how to query groups based on the DisplayName?
I have tried the following URL: https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups?$search="displayName:Test" in the MS Graph Explorer which didn't work.
I get the following error.
{
"error": {
"code": "Request_UnsupportedQuery",
"message": "This query is not supported.",
"innerError": {
"request-id": "35d90412-03f3-44e7-a7a4-d33cee155101",
"date": "2018-10-25T05:32:53"
}
}
Any suggestion is welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
According to your description, I assume you want to search the Group by the DisplayName using the search parameters.
Based on this document, we can currently search only message and person collections. So we couldn't use the search parameter.
We can use the filter query parameter to search the Group by DisplayName. For example, we can search the groups whose displayName is start with 'Test',the request url like this:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups?$filter=startswith(displayName,'Test')
Here is C# code that I wrote to get a group using the DisplayName. This code requires a reference to the OfficeDevPnP.Core.
private static async Task<Group> GetGroupByName(string accessToken, string groupName)
{
var graphClient = GraphUtility.CreateGraphClient(accessToken);
var targetGroupCollection = await graphClient.Groups.Request()
.Filter($"startsWith(displayName,'{groupName}')")
.GetAsync();
var targetGroup = targetGroupCollection.ToList().Where(g => g.DisplayName == groupName).FirstOrDefault();
if (targetGroup != null)
return targetGroup;
return null;
}
UPDATE
I see that the answer has already been accepted, but I came across the same issue and found that this answer is out of date. For the next person, this is the update:
The 'search' functionality does work. Whether it was fixed along the way or always has, I am not sure.
'groups' support search,
both the v1 and beta api support search,
search only works on 'displayName' and 'description' fields,
searching on 'directory objects' require a special header: 'ConsistencyLevel: eventual'
Point number 4 is what tripped me up!
Your request would look like this:
https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/groups?$search="displayName:Test"
With the request header:
ConsistencyLevel: eventual
There is another catch: You can only specify the first 21 characters and the search always uses 'startsWith'. You're out of luck if you specify more than that: The search always fails.
I'm writing an application for Twinfield. I login to an account with 4 administrations in it. I would like to retrieve all information belonging to not payed invoices.
With the search opttion I get al open invoices for a certain office.
string[][] finderOptions = new string[2][];
switch (office)
{
case 0:
finderOptions[0] = new string[] { "office", "xxxx01-01" };
break;
case 1:
finderOptions[0] = new string[] { "office", "xxxx03-01" };
break;
}
finderOptions[1] = new string[] { "dim1", "1300" };
TwinfieldFinder.MessageOfErrorCodes[] errorCodes = xmlFinder.Search(hdrXml, "IVT", "*", 0, 1, 0, finderOptions, out findResult);
This works. But it retuns the invoicenumber and I also need the transaction number. Therefore I perform a Browse to find the traansaction number.
Maybe there is another way to find the complete transaction using the invoicenumber iso the transactionnumber?
The Browse call looks like this:
TwinfieldProcessXml.ProcessXmlSoapClient xmlClient = new
TwinfieldProcessXml.ProcessXmlSoapClient("ProcessXmlSoap", cluster + "/webservices/processxml.asmx?wsdl");
TwinfieldProcessXml.Header hdrXml2 = new TwinfieldProcessXml.Header();
hdrXml2.CompanyCode = finderOptions[0][1];
hdrXml2.AnyAttr = hdr.AnyAttr;
hdrXml2.SessionID = hdr.SessionID;
It doens't matter if I user the CompanyCode in the headers It alwasy return the informatie belonging to the first office: xxxx01-01.
When using the browse codes in Twinfield, make sure to do the SoapCall to select the right company, as documented there:
https://c3.twinfield.com/webservices/documentation/#/FAQ
Otherwise you will get the data back for the default company:
Q. When using the Browse Data functionality, in the response I get data from a different company. What is wrong?
A. In the browse data request there is no option to set the current company. Before sending the request, make sure the correct company is set by using the SelectCompany function. See also Web Services Authentication.
To get the open invoices the best way is to use the browse codes. Select code 100 and add a filter on the column matchstatus, here is an example:

I have one Odata service , which is providing me the data and I am able to display this data on table. We are going to deploy this application to Launchpad. Now we have this requirement in which logged in user must get the data according to his/her login ID. So If my user ID is XXXXX , I should get the records only for XXXXX. I am unable to understand the process flow. Shall we implement the logic in Odata itself or should I get all the data and filter the model on UI, before displaying it.
Regards,
MS
In oData itself you can access login user by sy-uname. using that user you can filter your data.
OR
In front end you can access login user by below code
var vUrl = "proxy/sap/bc/ui2/start_up";
var oxmlHttp = null;
oxmlHttp = new XMLHttpRequest();
oxmlHttp.onreadystatechange = function() {
if (oxmlHttp.readyState == 4 && oxmlHttp.status == 200) {
var oUserData = JSON.parse(oxmlHttp.responseText);
vUser = oUserData.id;
}
};
oxmlHttp.open( "GET", vUrl, false );
oxmlHttp.send(null);
You have to handle this in Odata only. Get User id from UI using
var storename = sap.ushell.Container.getService("UserInfo").getId();
and set it to Odata to filter and send back the results.
You should handle such requirements in the Service level (OData level), not in the UI.
In DPC_EXT class variable SY-UNAME gives you the logged in user. So you should filter your records by deriving more information from that.
Is it possible to get tweets which contain photos? I am currently using twitter search api and getting all the tweets having entity details by setting include_entities=true. I see picture details under media object but is there anyway to filter and get tweets objects which just have these media items. Or is there anyway in Twitter4j to do this query?
There is no specific way to specify that I need only photos or videos but you can filter the results based on filter:links or filter:images or filter:videos in your query along with include_entities=true.
For Example: To get the tweets that contain links since 2012-01-31, you query should have include_entities parameter as well as filter:links as shown as follows:
https://search.twitter.com/search.json?q=from%3Agoogle%20since%3A2012-01-31%20filter%3Alinks&include_entities=true"
As your need is to filter your tweets based on images/photos, I think you should use filter:images.
An example of your case would look like:
https://search.twitter.com/search.json?q=from%3Agoogle%20since%3A2012-01-31%20filter%3Aimages&include_entities=true"
Hope this helps.
With Latest twitter API I couldn't get filters work and I couldn't find either any explanation in their docs. Althought you can get all the tweets and then parse only the media ones. You can fire this if inside your parsing script:
if(this.entities.media != null){
//Parse the tweet
}
This is not the best solution but the worst part comes to twitter who's giving you more information and using more of its own resources.
In the lastest twitter API you can do it in the ConfigurationBuilder instance, before creating the Twitter instance:
ConfigurationBuilder cb = new ConfigurationBuilder();
cb.setDebugEnabled(false);
cb.setOAuthConsumerKey(API_KEY);
cb.setOAuthConsumerSecret(API_SECRET);
cb.setOAuthAccessToken(ACCESS_TOKEN);
cb.setOAuthAccessTokenSecret(SECRET_KEY);
// enabling include_entities parameters
cb.setIncludeEntitiesEnabled(true);
Twitter twitterInstance = new TwitterFactory(cb.build()).getInstance();
Also, after enabling the entities, in the search string you have to had the condition "filter:images".
List<String> keywords = new ArrayList<String>();
keywords.add("#pet");
keywords.add("cat");
// String.join for Java 8
String twitterSearchString = "((" + String.join(" OR ", keywords) + ")";
// adding the filter condition
twitterSearchString += " AND filter:images)";
Query q = new Query(twitterSearchString);
And you will get just results with images (tested with twitter4j-core 4.0.4).
For filter in twitter API you can check official document for latest version as on date Apr 02 2019
