I have submitted an app to to ITunes Connect and it was rejected because of incomplete metadata.
Here is what they wrote:
If your iTunes Connect Application State is Metadata Rejected, we do NOT require a new binary.
To revise the metadata:
- Log in to iTunes Connect
- Click on “My Apps”
- Select your app
- Revise the desired metadata values
- Click “Save"
- Once you’ve completed all changes, click the “Submit for Review” button at the top of the App Details page
Great, no new binary required, so I fixed the metadata, clicked 'save' and expected to be able to resubmit for review. However, when I click the "Submit for Review", I am getting the message "You must choose a build". But in the builds section, there is no build. And, on the other hand, I can not upload a build because I don't see how I can change the app's status to "Waiting for Upload".
Please help, I am lost in the new interface of ITunes Connect... :(
Just had my app rejected today because of rating issues. Edited the rating and saved it. Then, sent a message to Apple resolution centre and after few hours the status showed Processing for App Store. I didn't submit the app for review again. It would have again taken 8 more days for review.
Do try this before submitting the app again for review.
Same problem here

Why can't you upload a new build? I have the same problem and the Application Loader allows me to upload a new build. After you upload new build you will be able to choose the build in iTunes Connect for your app. Then you need to submit the app to review again. It looks like that "Waiting for Upload" status is retired at all.
In the same time I think that it's not acceptable to wait about a week again until Apple team makes a new decision about the app. Earlier (before new ITunes Connect redesign) they supported ability to submit only Metadata without uploading new build and new review process took no more than a couple of days for this case.
I hope Apple will fix this limitation shortly.
Note:
Maybe this answer should be a comment but I don't have enough reputation to add comments. Please excuse me.
Follow This stpes
1) Login to itunes and Go to my apps
2) Change your binary and resubmit app
3) ready for upload process
4) Validate your app
5) Distribute your app

I uploaded a new build to AppStore Connect. Currently, the app is in the "prepare for submission" state. I uploaded all of the screenshots required and other things. I can only see the save button in AppStore Connect but the "submit for review" button is missing. How can we submit the app for review now?
Previous versions of the app were present in the App Store. I uploaded an update to the existing app but the current version was rejected. I fixed the issues and added a new build with current rejected version number and with the increased build number. But AppStore Connect only shows the Save button and I can't find the "submit for review" button.
Won't we see the "submit for review" button for rejected binaries?
Remove your rejected build from Build section which is above General App Information.
Add the new build you want to upload.
Click Save button.
You'll now see Submit for review screen.
After the app rejection, only the admin or manager of the AppStore connect account can submit the app for review. I was assigned with only developer role and hence was unable to submit the app for review again.
When Apple rejects an app, they specify the reason of the rejection. So you need to make changes said by apple in order to submit app again to App Store.
The uploading process is same as when you submitted the previous build but the only thing you need to take care of if app version.
You need to change the app version (generally it should be increased by one from the previous number) and upload the app again.
Once you upload build on the App Store you will see it under Activity and it will marked as processing.
Once the processing is finished you can select that build to submit for review.
Create New version (if required)
Select a build to submit for review
You can remove the existing build and select a new build and save it.
Once all the required info. is completed just Save it and then Submit for Review button will be enabled (but it is not the case every time)
Recently I submitted an IOS app to the app store and they reject the app because of some issues. Now I fix all those issues and I need to resubmit the app. What are the steps to resubmit the app again for the review?
Thanks in advance
Resubmit the app for review follow the below steps:
Change/correct the things what apple mentioned while rejecting.
Change the build version number.
Then upload the new archive build to app store, in the itunes
connect it takes some time (approx - 20 - 30 min) for reflecting the
new build.
You can check the status of the app in your itunes connect account. login to your account and select your app, in the app description page select Activity section from the top options panel and select the left side panel options like All builds, app store versions etc..
Yes, you should press that button by selecting the new IPA that you have uploaded and proceed to allow them to review again. As the application is binary rejected so, you have to upload new IPA with the fixes they have suggested. if it is something related to metadata then you only have to fix the description and resubmit.
Hope it helps.
I add a new app in iTunes Connect, but can't delete it in any case because no Delete button in Additional Information section.
what I got from the iTunes Connect Developer Guide is :
If the Delete App button isn’t displayed, check that you’re the team agent and that the app is in one of the statuses that allow the app to be deleted.
but I'm team agent, and the app status is Prepare for Submission.
Now is 2016-02-20, so, guys, have you solve it so far?
You mention that "I add a new app in iTunes Connect" You can delete your app if there is at least one approved version of the app and the latest version status is one of the following:
Prepare for Submission
Invalid Binary
Developer Rejected
Rejected
Metadata Rejected
Developer Removed From Sale
Removed from Sale
if your app has a different status, you can delete the app by first rejecting the build or by removing the app from sale.
Read iTunes connect Developer Guide carefully iTunes Connect Developer Guide
Today I noticed that there is a bug in the app, an unwanted string displaying an id (used for testing purposes) in the build submitted to the app store, because I forgot to comment it out. The current review status is:
July 03, 2014 00:17 | Apple | Waiting For Review
Is it possible to change the iOS build under review?
For Sure You Can Reject the app under review .Please do follow the steps given Below:
In iTunes connect, go into
'Manage Your Applications' then click your application. Then
'View details' and press
'Binary Details' under 'Links'. You'll see the
'Reject this binary' in the upper right corner.
in iTunes Connect select your app, under Version press View Details, then under Links press Binary Details, finally on the top right there is a Reject this Binary Button.
Then you can submit a new version.
The app status is "Waiting for review" and the only way to change the binary is to reject it yourself (status will then be "developer rejected"). Then you must go through the process again to upload the new binary.
This will consequently put you to the back of the queue.
Yes it is totally possible, I changed it because I had a missmatch between the version of the app described in the plist and the version my customer set on itunes connect.
0 problems. Hope it helps you.
Note you will have to reject the current one
In iTunes connect, go into
Manage Your Applications' then click your application. Then
click App Store
you will see this "You can edit some information while your version is waiting for review. To submit a new build, you must remove this version from review."
click on remove this version from review
Finally reject it for review
I forgot provide demo account information login and password, and my application was rejected with message:
.... While your iTunes Connect Application State will still show as
Rejected, we don't require a new binary for this type of issue. Please
visit iTunes Connect, Manage Your Applications, revise the appropriate
metadata values or settings, then click "Submit New Metadata"
I add required information to metadata reviews note. But i have not found "Submit New Metadata". I click "ready upload" button, and now application status "Waiting For Upload"
When i try upload application binary from XCode 3.2.4 i have a errors:
An error occured while processing the http request for the webDAV
upload An exception has occured:401 Unauthorized
Questions how fix this erorr?
And where is "Waiting For Upload" button?
we don't require a new binary for this type of issue
You should not upload new binary. You should just find button "Submit New Metadata" and press it after demo data was entered in Review Notes.
After the weekend I tried again to upload binary and upload was successfull. After 5 minutes the application status has changed to "In review". I used mac os on virtual machine and reboot only vm. Maybe computer(not vm) reboot decided the problem or maybe error was in itunes side.
