Xcode version unable to install the application on ios simulator - ios

I just upgraded my mac os from mountion lion to mavericks version 10.9.3 . In mountion lion i used Xcode 5.1 with ios simulator 7.1, 7.0 , 6.0 and 6.1 . I had a back up this xcode 5.1,which i installed to new mavericks version. Now if i run the project using the ios simulator 7.1 ,it shows iOS Simulator failed to install the application. Does it have anything to do with Xcode versions installed for the os versions

Reset your simulator like this:
Force Quit the simulator in the Activity Monitor.
U can try also remove the simulator (link) and re-install it

Can't use my 9.0.1 iPhone with Xcode

My Macbook and my iPhone are updated to the OS X 10.11 Capitan and iOS 9.0.1, but when I try to use my iPhone as a running device with Xcode, it tells me I can't use it because of the version of them.
I can't upgrade Xcode (6.1). On the App Store, it tells me I'm on the latest version.
You need upgrade your xCode (6.1) to Xcode 7.0.1 and above to support iOS 9.0.1. and upgrade your Mac OS also Version no : 10.11
Install xcode 7.0 it will fix your issue.

How to install iOS 7.0 and iOS 8.0 Simulators in Xcode 6.1?

I want to test my app on both iOS 7.0 and iOS 8.0. I upgraded my iPhone5 to iOS 8.1. Now the only way to test my app in these OS' are using Simulator. But after upgrading my Xcode to 6.1. I'm unable to see iOS 7.0 and 8.0 Simulators. I need to install these simulators in Xcode 6.1. Is there any way to install these Simulators in Xcode 6.1?
NOTE:
1) I copy pasted these simulator SDKs from old Xcode to the Xcode 6.1's contents but it didn't work.
2) I tried installing these from Xcode > Preferences > Downloads but these doesn't show up in the list.
3) I removed all the Devices from Xcode's Window > Devices and then restarted the Xcode and re-added them but these simulators doesn't show up.
Only iOS 7.0 and later simulators are supported on Xcode 6.0.x and 6.1.x. Only iOS 7.1 and later simulators are supported on Xcode 6.2 and greater.
The older simulators runtimes are not compatible with the new CoreSimulator architecture. You need to install Xcode 5.1.x if you want to run iOS 6.x simulators.
The iOS 7.0 simulator does not work on OSX Yosemite, so you need to be on OS X Mavericks if you want to run the iOS 7.0 simulator.
The iOS 8.0 simulator is not available as DLC. It is only supported in Xcode 6.0. If you really want to use it with newer versions of Xcode, you can try copying the iPhoenSimulator8.0.sdk and iOS 8.0.simruntime from Xcode 6.0 into Xcode 6.1, but as stated, this is not supported.
See:
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/Library/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/iOS 8.0.simruntime
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator8.0.sdk

Can we install iOS 6 simulator in XCODE 6.0.1?

I updated my XCODE version to 6.0.1 from 5.1.1 but when i try to install iOS simulator 6 , i cant find it in XCODE -> Preferences -> Downloads option ...
My project needs iOS 6 environment
Can anyone please suggest a way to install it or get back to older version.
Thanks in Advance .
Xcode 6 contains CoreSimulator. CoreSimulator supports the iOS 7.0 and later simulator runtimes.
The iOS 7.0 simulator runtime is not supported on OS X Yosemite.
If you are on OS X Mavericks, you can install 7.0 or later.
If you are on OS X Yosemite, you can install 7.1 or later.
If you need the iOS 6 simulator runtime, you should install Xcode 5.1 (on Mavericks) and use it for testing your projects in the iOS 6 runtime. You can install both versions of Xcode simultaneously.
No, you can't install that simulator in Xcode 6.0.1. You can download Xcode 5.1.1 from the iOS Developer Center: https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action?name=Xcode
If that link doesn't work login to the dev center and under the downloads section click "Looking for an older version of Xcode?"
In the search box type "Xcode 5.1.1" and filter your Categories to Developer Tools:

ios 7.0 upgrade issue

I have iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.3 which is recently upgraded to iOS 7 now I need to test my app on that iPhone with iOS 7. I have SDK Xcode 4.6 and OS X 10.7.5
I got some small issues here due to iOS 6.1.3 upgrade to iOS 7:
I'm unable to test my app on that iPhone 4 with my current SDK (Xcode 4.6). So, if I need to update it to Xcode 5.0 but its not
working with OS X 10.7.5.
If I upgraded my OS X 10.7.5 to 10.8.5 will it work?
I have tried to downgrade iOS but I'm unable to do that because Apple stopped the signing for the previous versions.
First you need to upgrade your mac os to 10.8 then only you can install xcode 5. From xcode 5 you can take build in the device which is having IOS 7.
For your reference :
https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/WhatsNewXcode/Articles/xcode_5_0.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012953-SW1
You have to upgrade your X-code version 5 and after upgrading u test your app in your phone
First of you have to upgrade your SDK' to to Xcode 5,IOS7 ....In the deployment target please use IOS 6 or relatively your iPhones IOS...Please remember developemnt target and deployment target are different....

Do I have to upgrade to Lion to test on iPad with iOS 5.1?

I recently just updated my work's iOS to 5.1. When I click run in Xcode 4.2, I get this error:
The selected scheme is my iOS device.
I am currently running Snow Leopard here, and after checking the portal I cannot run the latest Xcode unless I upgrade to Lion.
Is there any way I can test my app on this device without upgrading to Lion?
The short answer is Yes, you need to upgrade.
Some people have gone to heroic lengths to get SW to run on unsupported OS releases. Here's an example for getting iBooks Author onto Snow Leopard:
http://osxdaily.com/2012/01/20/install-ibooks-author-on-mac-os-x-10-6-8-snow-leopard/
In theory, it may be possible to run Xcode 4.3.1 on Snow Leopard or even jam iOS 5.1 support into Xcode 4.2. In practice, good luck. I would never personally do it, because development is hard enough. If Xcode or your app crashes or has issues, you have to throw out all your assumptions.
You mentioned that it is your work's iDevice. Consider getting them to upgrade your Mac OS or your hardware for you.
If you have 5.1 on a device, then Xcode needs to have the iOS SDK 5.1 installed in order for Xcode to run the app on that device.
If the device has 5.1 installed, and the latest SDK installed in Xcode is 5.0.1, then you will get this error.
I am running Xcode 4.2 with the highest SDK of 5.0 (9A334) and I can compile fine to my iPhone 4s running iOS 5.1 and my iPad 1 running iOS 5.1. I have just connected a new iPad 3 running 5.1 and Xcode says I need to upgrade to SDK 5.1. I went on a wild goose chase on this a few weeks ago after upgrading my 4s to 5.1 from 5.0.1 and installed Lion (which I detest) in a separate partition. After loads of messing around I ended up going back to Snow Leopard and the 4s running 5.1 magically worked. I do not have SDK 5.1 on the system and Base SDK in Xcode shows Latest iOS (iOS 5.0). Therefore it is NOT necessary to have SDK 5.1 in order to compile for 5.0 and run on a 5.1 device.
UPDATE 6-April-12
An update on this. I have just booted into Lion, opened Xcode, the iPad3 is recognised, re-booted back into Snow Leopard, and now I can compile to the iPad3 using Xcode 4.2 on SL. I did absolutely nothing in Lion except for opening an old project and clicking on the iPad3 in the sidebar of the Devices tab in the Organizer.
