I just created an empty web application in Visual Studio 2013.
From then on, how would I add MVC and/or Web API capabilities similar to how we're able to specify those when creating a project?
In another somewhat similar case, I created an MVC app with no authentication (i.e., users don't log in to the site). How do I modify/set up this project to implement individual users and add Web API capabilities?

It's visual studio IDE problems.
You can restart Visual studio to fix problems.
If intellisense not work correctly after restart , delete all file under this folder : C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0\ComponentModelCache

How do create asp.net mvc web application without any package type Owin, Twitter and the like? I created ASP.Net MVC web application and watch the project is too big = ~ 110-120 MB. It's too large file size. It is clear that the need to remove packages. What to do?
While creating the MVC project, click the "Change Authentication" button and select "No Authentication".

I am new to Grails and in the Grails website I found the following sentence.
Grails is an Open Source, full stack, web application framework for the JVM.
What is full stack web application framework? How Grails vary from Struts?

Normally when you build applications you need some functionalities:
Database managment (ORM)
Presentation (User Interface)
Service Layer
Configuration
You can build your application using one API/Framework for each area.
The full stack means that Grails will provide you functionality to all those areas so you don't need to look for a set of frameworks, just use one.

I have a new project in which I need to work on PrestaShop and create a universal mobile application. I am not getting anything anywhere about how you use it in an iOS application to get the items in different categories, Search API for items, etc.
PrestaShop implements a full-featured RESTful web service.
You need to enable the web service in Advanced Parameters > Web Service, then to use the guides and how-to located at http://doc.prestashop.com/display/PS15/Using+the+PrestaShop+Web+Service

We have a web application for managing projecs, meeting etc in our company that is written in asp.net MVC . right now each department have their own copies. 5 department 5 copies. how can we make it as just one app and fix this?
by centralizing your database at a central location you can easly do it or by using microsoft sync framework you can easly sync data to one db to another
I would create a central mvc project, setup separate areas for each department, the source for each area into the main project.
