Get Company References by using LinkedIn for iOS App - ios

In my native iOS App, If user will Sign in with LinkedIn then I want to get references of that specific user.
For example, If user wants to apply in XYZ company then i want to get user's all references that are already working in XYZ company. Can it be possible by using provided LinkedIn APIs or with any other way?
Suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I just come up with one solution that i want to share with all of you.
Call Connections API call with the required fields that you needed.
For example, you need following fields:
id
first-name
last-name
headline
picture-url
Now URL will be look like following:
https://api.linkedin.com/v1/people/~/connections:(id,first-name,last-name,headline,picture-url)?oauth2_access_token=YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN
Response will be look like following:
<person>
<id>rXoyP_RKnr</id>
<first-name>First Name</first-name>
<last-name>Last Name</last-name>
<headline>Designation at Company</headline>

</person>

Get a review link with Google My Business API

Is there a way to get the link of a review using the GMB APIs?
The closest to what I need is this:
https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/113400145807499011881/place/ChIJSRSm38NhLxMRBgg2EGMZqKc/
Where the first ID (113400145807499011881) is the ID of the user who left the review, and the second ID (ChIJSRSm38NhLxMRBgg2EGMZqKc) is the place ID.
However, the review object returned by the API does not seem to contain enough information to obtain the reviewer user ID.
Thank you,
Guido
I was searching for a way to get the url to the review overview for a specific location via the API too.
After checking the links, IDs ect. in the API Responses and lots of documentations an tuturials i found NO way to get the link over tha API.
BUT a workarround with a few manual steps can help to find the link (I know that is not a final answer to the question, but maybe it is still helpfull)
go to google search, and search for you Location/ Company that contains the reviews
on the right side you should see a pannel that shows the current stars for your location and a link "xxxx Google-Rezensionen"
klick on this link and copy the url in the browser
(optional remove parameters like "&client" ect.
Check this youtube-video of the Step by Step Tuturial to see a tuturial how you can do this.
newReviewUrl is the Parameter if someone read this:

Using the ProfileAdminService to Follow a user

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to use the ProfileAdminService (com.ibm.sbt.services.client.connections.profiles.ProfileAdminService) to get one user to follow another user.
I can see that you can do it via a put to /profiles/admin/atom/following.do but I was hoping to just use service.
I've investigated the FollowService but this only (at least that i can see) allows the current authenticated user to follow someone, but I want to be able to get any user to follow someone.
Thanks
The feature was not implemented in the IBM Social Business Toolkit SDK
you can look at the Code for ProfileAdminService and you'll see the methods do not include establishing a following relationship.
You need to use the REST API - http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/lcwiki.nsf/xpAPIViewer.xsp?lookupName=IBM+Connections+5.0+API+Documentation#action=openDocument&res_title=Following_a_person_using_the_Administration_API_ic50&content=apicontent
with the specified body. You need to craft the URL properly in order to get the feature to work via the REST API

dynamic twitter widget id

I want to use the new twitter embedded timelines (https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-timelines) but how can I get the data for the right user by username? I have a lot of websites with users (>500) who have their username in the database but as far as I can see you have to give a data-widget-id to get the tweets from the right user.
Is there any way to do this by username? And if not, how can I quickly convert all my users' data-widget-id to the database?
Any help is appreciated
Looks like the best you can do is get a single valid data-widget-id and use it for many different user names using the data-screen-name property.
There is a discussion here from one of the twitter devs. The same one as #alex_b posted in the comments.
You can wrote same script for PHP, for Rails community this gits could be helpfull to get widget-id dynamically.

Facebook like user search as you type

I am creating a messaging system for my web app and need help with searching for users to send messages to. So far I have it so that if you type a persons name (who is on the site) you can send a message to them. I want it to be as you start typing a persons name, a drop down appears with users names that the current user is following. Any thoughts on how I can do this?
I am using the gem mailboxer also wondering if anyone has suggestions for a better messaging gem. Thanks in advance.
Use jQuery autocomplete, and just populate the dropdown contents as all users that the user is following... something like current_user.followed_users. It's impossible to give code without seeing how your code works though.
A good alternative to jquery autocomplete is http://loopj.com/jquery-tokeninput/ and github at: https://github.com/loopj/jquery-tokeninput. A facebook like tagging to send message to multiple users. A demo app on https://github.com/railscasts/258-token-fields-revised/tree/master/bookstore-tokeninput-after from Ryan Bates from Railscasts http://railscasts.com/episodes/258-token-fields-revised
Good luck.

How to automatically post a tweet on twitter

I am working on a site where users can submit data. Is it possible to set up an automated system such that a tweet goes out every time a new data set is received?
I believe it's possible through their own API: http://apiwiki.twitter.com/w/page/22554648/FrontPage
A good place to start is the Twitter API.
Using Abraham's Oauth library in your application and once you have verified/cleaned user import use the variables in an if statement and then call the library and post a tweet. i have a similar set up for adding films i've seen into a database and it tweets a rating everytime.
I can provide coding example (PHP) later if you need further help.
