I downloaded Zxing library 2.2 and tried to integrate it for 1d/2d barcode scanning within my ios project. Multitudes of errors came in, the latest being NSORuntime errors ( I am pretty much sure it is because of the cpp files) ...... I tried to solve them, but they just keep appearing. I am at sea as to how integrate this barcode library into my ios project. Any kind of help is appreciated
I've encountered to same problems, so I decided to use sample project in the ZXing Sample. I removed xib files and added storyboards, also fixed some minor issues and voilĂ ! Now its working flawless.

I'm a newbie in Swift. I just created a new single view project in xcode9.3 and tried building it and its taking forever to compile.
Why is this so?
I have had something similar to this, and I found that restarting Xcode a few times should solve the problem.
If this doesn't work, you might want to download the latest version of Xcode. As of now, I think the latest non-beta version is 9.4.1.
Had the same issue in the past.
The swift compiler have some issues with specific code styles which makes it sometimes compile files even slower.
In the end we quit Swift as a development language and moved to React Native and back to Objective-C on iOS projects as swift became too cumbersome.
Moving forward, you might want to look at some of guides out there.

I want to implement FileMQ for file transfer from iOS to android in my iOS app.
I tried the steps given here but it causes errors at many steps. Also I need to know how should I use the downloaded library.
How should I compile FileMQ for iOS and use it?

I downloaded a C version of the library from the link mentioned in the question and compiled it on linux machine. I made some changes in the headers to make it iOS compatible as the headers were generated for linux. Now I am using the same copy in my iOS project.
So, ... I went through the tutorial, using the binary steps to go through this.
I went through some answers here and that's where it gets confusing as there are even more variations on which linker flags to add and header paths, etc.
I tried these: MapBox iOS SDK within your own Xcode no help.
The project doesn't find the classes/headers.
The only project I found that works is their sample XCode project. I replicated all those dependencies, no luck.
I could put all my code into the iOS example, but it over a year old and not indicated to include the latest version 1.6.1.
I hate cocoapods as they add too much setting up into the project and if I get the same issue with other 3rd party frameworks, (there's plenty ill documented out there) how woudl I add that?
So, anyone else having those issues of the Mapbox tutorial not working and what was your solution?
I am trying to add tesseract to my iOS-App. Im doing the App with Xamarin.iOS.
I tried creating a .dll with btouch and used for that the ported version of tesseract on github(https://github.com/gali8/Tesseract-OCR-iOS). I created the bindings of tesseractOCR.h with Objective-Sharpie and created a
.dll with the TesseractOCR.a file.
Everything worked fine but when trying to build my app with the .dll referenced it gives me the attached Errors.

This seems a good question and I came here looking for Xamarin bindings for Tesseract library, but there was none on this page. After searching, I found that there are a couple of bindings already for Xamarin:

Disclaimer: I have not tried any of them yet, just finished my research, now gonna start my experimentation :)
This is because Tesseract uses c++ and the binding needs to know this.
I would suggest creating a binding project as per the tutorial at Xamarin. Then this Xamarin forum post gives great information on how to add c++ to the LinkWith attribute.

I have created a static library with Xcode. Then I compiled my ANE using adobe's ADT tool. Thereafter I've included the ANE in my FlashBuilder project. However, when attempting to package my project, I get the following error:
"Error occurred while packaging the application:
Undefined Symbols: "_obj_storeStrong", referenced from ...
.
"_obj_release", referenced from ...
.
"
My guess is that ARC is probably not supported for ANE's. I'm guessing that this is probably due to the fact that FlashBuilder is recompiling the entire AIR + the native libs into one iOS application, probably using their own compiler or something (which is why Air apps for iOS can be compiled on windows platforms as well), and this compiler is probably not 4.3 ready yet?
I have attempted adding the flag -fobjc-arc to my ios-platformoptions.xml as well (where this file is the parameter to the -platformoptions flag of adt), but still no joy. It results once again in an error when packaging. Perhaps any other flag I can try to use here?
Any corrections, suggestions, alternative ideas or comments will be most welcome. I am very new to Xcode, Objective C and ANE, so please excuse any incorrect statements or assumptions, and please correct me on these.
I would be glad if somebody can please confirm weather I am correct with my assumption that I cannot use ARC at this stage on ANE's.

Very late update, sorry.
You might be able to use ARC after all. There is a library called arc lite that I forgot to mention and it works. I created an ANE for MapKit on iOS targeting the 5.0.x SDK. When I tried to move to a device that only had 4.3.x ( could have been 4.3.3 or 4.3.5 ) the app crashed or would not compile. I found information on the arc lite library that is included in the newer sdks, followed the instructions on how to include this library and pow! A working ANE on a 4.3.x device without rewriting my code!

I don't think ARC is supported just yet. There isn't much to go on in terms of settings or examples of what the settings should be in Xcode. Take a look at any of the Xcode ANE projects you can get your hands on. You will see that most or all of the projects have:
Object-C Automatice Reference counting = NO
Objective-C++ Automatic Reference counting = NO
Take a look at the following:

There are a lot of examples in Github but you have to find them via Google. Pull down the Xcode ANE projects and compare the settings.
