I would like to know if there are any API's for iOS , using which the app feedback given by customer can be sent to the API server and from there can be sent to me via email.
I was also looking for this kind of API. I have found a few so far.
http://www.apptentive.com/
I think zendesk (https://www.zendesk.com/) has an API (not sure without signing up).
http://freshdesk.com/ has some kind of beta program, I think.
UPDATE: Here's another list on SO: Way to get User Feedback for iPhone app?

I'm creating an iPhone app that will allow users to log in with Twitter and for the app to then be able to post on their behalf.
Is it better to make post requests to Twitter from the app or from the server? Why?
For my app I found it easier to do it on the client. If you are looking for a iOS twitter library I have it here https://github.com/narup/PSTwitterEngine Though, you can still post using iOS native twitter support. You will need this library if you are using browser based authentication
Also, didn't want to write extra code on server since i am writing server myself :)
I am currently working out of india and am trying to get to make my app post on behalf of my Twitter user account. However, for me to be able to do this, I need to create write access to my app on twitter, which I tried to. Unfortunately, twitter gives me the following error:
Error
You must add your mobile phone to your Twitter profile before granting your application write capabilities. Please read https://support.twitter.com/articles/110250-adding-your-mobile-number-to-your-account-via-web for more information
Now, I tried to add my mobile phone number following these instructions. Twitter, does not support any of the Indian mobile carriers in order to authenticate the same.
Is there a work around? Is there any way I can make write access work from here?
There are two ways to do this.
The official way to do this is to contact the Twitter API team directly using this form https://support.twitter.com/forms/platform
The unofficial way is
Authenticate against mobile.twitter.com (use your phone or computer).
Go to Settings
Go to Phone
Add
Add your mobile
A "manage" link should be available
All being well, you'll get a confirmation SMS
I've not tried this method - but I have seen other people say it works.
I'm new to Facebook development and I'm running into trouble with what seems like it should be an easy task. I am building an iOS app for a client, and that client wants to display a number of their most recent status updates in the app, along with a link to their Facebook page. These statuses should be displayed to the user of the app even if they are not logged into Facebook or do not have a Facebook account saved on their device.
My research so far seems to indicate that I'll need to make a request to the Graph API using a user access token (which I can do successfully in the app using a token copied and pasted from the Graph API Explorer), but it seems that the only way to get a user access token from within the app is to log the user of the app into Facebook using their account credentials. This is not a good solution because I need to be able to display the client's statuses to the user whether they have are logged into a Facebook account or not. Is such a thing possible, and if so, how? I've been all over the docs and can't find a conclusive answer either way.
I know that we would approach it quite differently. We would have our own web service periodically pull what we needed off of google and store it on our own server, then we would use AFHTTPClient to pull this information down to our app. That way we wouldn't have to spoof anything with FaceBook or put any requirments on our users, such as logging into facebook. It would require that you have a service that your client maintains (or you could easily contract that for a cost).
I'm currently working on an app (iOS 6) where the user will be signing in using their facebook account.
In regards to this I have a few questions:
a) Since the app asks the user for permission to access cetain data (like: basic profile info, friend list, access to post to wall etc), I assume that the app based on it's app id will be somehow authenticated to access this information as long as the user doesn't restrict access through their facebook account.
b) will it be possible for example via a service application to authenticate with the same app id as the mobile app, and hence be able to collect data from the facebook users who authenticated with the app?
The purpose of my question is, that I would like do some analysis on the users using the iphone app, but I don't want the app to first download the information from facebook, and then pass it on to my service for analysis.
If the above is possible, could anyone please guide me in the direction of what it is that I need to do? Perhaps links to tutorials that describes this setup, og simply tell me the right facebook terminology that I'm looking for to achive this.
Thanks in advance!
It's a bit late and you may have already picked a service. I have been using Parse.com
(tutorial site). They're very good. They have SDKs and sample code for many platforms a RESTful service for others.
They have recently been acquired by FaceBook, and already have strong links to Facebook's SDK.
I have a website that requires any user to be logged in using the Facebook auth system.
On the other hand I am making an iOS App that needs to consume functionalities of the website. I implemented the SSO system on the iOS system but I don't get how I'm supposed to call my webservices in a way that tells the backend that "it's ok, I'm authenticated on the iOS app".
Is there anything to do with the signed_request parameters on the iOS side? If yes, I didn't find anyway yet to get that parameter.
Do you have any clue to help me deal with my issue?
Thanks
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/signed_request/
The signed_request parameter is utilized to share information between Facebook and app in a number of different scenarios:
A signed_request is passed to Apps on Facebook.com when they are loaded into the Facebook environment
A signed_request is passed to any app that has registered an Deauthorized Callback in the Developer App whenever a given user removes the app using the App Dashboard
A signed_request is passed to apps that use the Registration Plugin whenever a user successfully registers with their app
Does iOS use any of these?
** EDIT **
Ok thanks, can you edit your answer and add the fact that I can't
access the signed_request parameter? – MartinMoizard
From Martin: iOS cannot access the signed request parameter probably because iOS is not a webserver that is able to accept HTTP Post paramteres.
I am struggling with this same problem, and it seems that OAuth is actually an authorization protocol, not an authentication protocol. See:
http://www.thread-safe.com/2012/01/problem-with-oauth-for-authentication.html
Seems like the signed request would solve this problem nicely. Not sure why we cannot get them on iOS. Best I can figure out is I need to pass my access_token from the iOS client to my server, and then it can ask graph.facebook.com what user it represents.
