iOS tab view page indicator - ios

I am wondering whether there is a library that supports page indicators by tabs. So when users swipe a page, the tab indicator is changed also. On Android, we have a lib called ViewPageIndicator
We might do it manually, but it could save time if someone has done it already.
Thank you.

When navigating to a page from "More" on iOS the toolbar does not show until device orientation is changed

I use tabbed page and have way more than 5 items in my TabbedPage (15 of them). Now when each ContentPage I navigate to is in within first 4 items, my toolbar renders correctly, displaying the icon and allowing user to interact. The problem begins when I have to go to "... More" tab.
Once I select one of the ContentPages there I don't see the same Toolbar with ToolbarItems in it. Rotating the device to Landscape and back brings the ToolbarItems back.
I have scoured the internet looking for an answer but I can't find much about this particular issue.
Could y'all smart folks point me to a solution to my problem?
I made a simple test but did not reproduce your issue .
What is the version of Xamarin.Forms ? And What specific device did you test on ?

How does iOS 13 Safari link preview work?

In iOS 13 Safari, when you long press on a link, you see a preview of the linked page, along with some menu items. If you tap the preview, you navigate to that page.
Now, I see how to intervene in the long-press-and-preview process. This used to be peek-and-pop, but in iOS 13 that's deprecated and we're supposed to use func webView(_:contextMenuConfigurationForElement:) and so forth. Fine, but how would I imitate what Safari does?
The problem is that as my preview provider I have to supply a view controller. So I'm going to need a different view controller with a web view showing the linked page. Okay, I can do that. But then when the user taps the preview to dismiss it, I want to respond by loading the same linked page into my real web view.
But that's the problem. That loading takes time. In Safari, by contrast, when you tap the preview, boom, there's the same page already loaded. How do they do that? How would I do the same thing? How can I load the page into a different view controller, cache it, and communicate that cached page back to my real web view?

Icons for iOS Action Extensions Disappearing After Share Button Menu Disappears

I've been working on a couple of iOS action extensions for a while, but I have noticed an odd behavior I was wondering if anyone else saw. In short, after you install and turn the extension on from the share button menu and leave the menu, it disappears from the menu.
More specifically, when you first install the extension, you expect you have to press the share button, scroll the bottom bar menu (for the action extensions) all the way to the right, press the "More" button, toggle your extension on and then press done. At that point the icon for the extension will appear and you can use it. However, the next time you want to use the action extension, the icon will not appear and you have to repeat the process, even though when you look in the "More" menu, the toggle switches for your app are already flipped on.
I wish I could add images to further elaborate here, but I can't because of StackOverflow's rules.
I have not been able to find any information on this any where, so I was hoping someone here has noticed this behavior or not. Any help on resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
This has been a bug in iOS 8.3, and has been acknowledged by Apple.
Fixed in iOS 9.
Issue on OpenRadar
How to solve:
The new share extension is NOT visible in the default list, and is CHECKED in the “More…” list. Changing any of the switches and tapping Done will show the new share extension in the default list.

How to create tabs in a ipad app that is similar a web browser tabs

I have a requirement to create a ipad app that supports tab to view content. I have created a custom splitview controller, whenever user goes to a particular section in the left section, the contents related to that will be displayed in the content view(right view). If a user selects a particular link in that content view it should open a tab and display the contents of that link in that new view. Similar to Web Browser tabs i need to handle tabs in this app. Please suggest any available open source component or any ideas to implement tabbing inside a ipad app.
You can use Three20 for your tab purpose. Also there are many open Source components available. You just need to search in google.

How to navigate BlackBerry BrowserField2 in OS5

I am using the new BrowserField2 in BlackBerry OS5 to display HTML content in my app. There are 3 options available for navigation through links in that content.
CURSOR navigation uses a block cursor and actually moves through the characters of the page. Not very useful for me.
POINTER navigation uses a mouse like pointer that you move around the screen and hover over elements. This could work but there is a bug however in that the browser field captures navigation and never lets go so this mode is effectively broken if you share a screen with any other managers. Once your focus enters the browser field you cannot move focus back out and into neighboring fields. RIM has acknowledged the bug but has no work around.
NONE which is for custom navigation but they offer no explanation as to how you would do this.
What I ideally want is to simply have trackpad movements move the focus through the links and highlight them. Then a click would activate the link. I assume I would select the NONE option above and implement my own focus navigation but I am not clear how this can be accomplished with the new APIs.
Is anyone familiar with the new browser2 component could give some guidance?
Thanks!
There's a workaroudn to getting back the focus out of the BrowserField using the NAVIGATION_POINTER.
I found it in this thread:

"farahh" posted this:
I found out a hack..
with the navigation set to pointer mode, a click outside the browserfield manager invokes Manager.invokeAction(int). I used the getFieldWithFocus to verify which field has focus and then switch the focus to something else.
Cheers.

PD: i havent found out how to get the behaviour you want, i need that as well so if you got it working please let me know, its kinda urgent in my project =(
I actually reverted back to the older browser1 (OS4) component because the navigation problems in browserField2 (OS5) were a deal breaker for me. Luckily the OS4 browser does everything I need in terms of functionality and it has the exact navigation behavior I need and there are no focus problems mixing it with other views.
