Publish iOS application with different name - ios

We created an app for iOS and now we want to publish this app. We want to publish with different name, We dont want to use my name or the name of my college.
During the process, Can I specific the name that will appear under the application under the app in apple store?
I read this thread: iOS app publishing - publishing under different author name
are there any change? or still we cant publish?

No there has been no change.
It sounds like you haven't published your app yet, if that is the case you can create a second apple ID, make a second developer account under a new name and publish it without issue. It will obviously cost for another developer account. I have 3 accounts, one personal and two for work, and have had no problem.
If you have published the app already, you can change the name on the developer account. I have also done this. It took about month to fully complete.

App publishing in App store from another account

My App is already published on App store but my client gets a conflict with the publisher party. Now an updated application is in pending state for which my worried client suggested me if we can upload this application from new developers account as many of customers aren't comfort to using the app with bugs.
Now, I want to published it from my account. what should I do ?
Any suggestions ?
p.s That party has no more contact with us now and they are not even removing our app from thier developers account.
Here few things you can do :
That application is of your client & they have all the rights of the concept & idea & name of the application. So in that case you can send an appeal to the apple support team
If they will feel it appropriate then apple review team will immediately take an action & that application will be removed from that account
Now the question is how you can publish the same app from another account. So for that :
First thing is app name is already in use now so it won't allow you to take a same name even if app removed from sale.
So best thing you can do is you can modify slightly app name & than reuse it for submitting app again
Important Note :
For resubmitting the app you should have a latest source first. If you already have it than there will be no issues for you in resubmitting app on new iTunes account.
But don't forget to send appeal to the support team for the app is already live on the store by mis using your client details & wait till apple team takes actions against that app
Hope it will helps.

Possible to rename iOS App before uploading?

I'm about to upload my app to AdHoc for Beta Testing however the Xcode project is named "MyApp" (not the actual name of the app) but I want to upload it to the app store as "MyLive". The bundle identifier is also com.myproject.MyApp but I would like to rename it if possible to something like com.mycompany.MyLive.
At the moment this is just a personal app attatched to my personal App ID but I'd like to future proof it as best as I can so it doesnt cause me any problems down the line.
As I've enrolled in the Apple Dev program using my personal Apple ID the only team I can choose is my name. However, is it possible to create a new team so that it seems like a company based around the app?
Lastly, if I upload it connected to my personal Apple ID how much personal information will be publicly visible? Is it possible to hide my email address?
EDIT: Is it possible to transfer an App from on Apple Developer account to another? Say when my current membership runs out and I set one up in the company name would I be able to transfer ownership?
Once you've created an app in iTunes Connect the bundle identifier can never be changed. If you have created it as com.myproject.MyApp then it's stuck as such. However, if this is your first upload, there's really no loss to create a different iTunes app with the bundle id of com.mycompany.MyLive.
None of that really matters though as no one will ever see this except you and anyone you've allowed on to your account. Just keep it simple.
You can rename your iTunes app name when your app is in editable state. i.e. If you've already submitted version 1.0 of the app with an iTunes app name of 'MyApp', you cannot change it for that version. But you can setup a version 1.1 and change the name before it's submitted.
It's not possible to create new 'teams'. A team is basically a developer account. You can be invited to join other teams via the owner of those accounts. In the future you can convert your personal account to a business account. It requires a bit of legal paperwork but is not hard.
The only publicly available information is what you've added when creating your iTunes Connect app. You have to add an email under review contact info, this is only used by Apple to reach you in case of questions with your app. You are also required to provide a support URL so your customers can reach you.

Transfer App option not available iTunes Connect

I have created a app long time ago on my iTunes account and now i would like transfer it on different iTunes account. After googling i found transfer app is available at under App information > Additional information > Transfer App like here But i am unable to find Transfer app option on my account like here. I have already read Criteria for Transferring an App. Please let me know what can i do.
Yes , Here is your solution
When you are a member under an organisation you can't able to see that option in your appstore account
Only the admin will have that access and can able to see transfer app option.
Get those admin credentials to transfer the app.
It worked for me
Only the person who has role "Admin, Account holder" can transfer app to another account.
Other admins cannot transfer app to another account and they cannot see Transfer app option under Additional information
One possible reason listed in App Transfer Criteria that I don't see mentioned in other answers is this:
The App must have had at least one version that has been released to the App Store.
Make sure that you had at least one actual version published on the App Store. Published TestFlight builds don't count.

Reserve App Name and Delete

Here is scenario
We were implementing an app for one of our client. He asked us to reserve name for the app. Now since he didn't own itunesconnect account at that time. We created and reserved app through our itunesconnect account.
Once we finished app and his account was created, we thought we can simply transfer app name to new account holder.
Well we then realize its not that simple
Possible available solutions
Itunesconnect allows only apps that are published ( Client didn't wanted to release app under our iTunes account but release under his name ). So this scenario didn't worked
Delete app ( This didn't worked as we can only delete app which are live)
Auto delete app ( I think it get's deleted after some days.. i think 170 ( I might be wrong ) ). Client was not ready to wait for that time.
If anyone has a better solution please let me know?
PS - Please do not rate -ve to my question :). I already have solution to my question just wanted to know proper way to implement this as well as reason behind apple restricting deletion of app's which are not live
Solution which worked
We deleted bundle ID from developer account and simply updated app name with new random key as _1. e.g.
Existing Name - XXX
New Name - XXX_1
This worked now we were able to register name XXX on new iTunes account :) but name XXX_1 still stays on our account.

When a developer changes an app name, does the old one become available?

I've written an iOS app and would love to name it "X", but that name is taken. The existing app isn't very popular, and the author is willing to rename it for a fee. Suppose we agree to do this, does the old name become instantly available to everyone, or does Apple hold it as unavailable for some time, perhaps forever?
If the old name is locked forever does Apple allow me to just buy out his entire app (he is willing), and then publish completely different content using the same name and app id? We might need to change the category as well.
Yes. I've done this a couple times. I used to own an app called Note To Self. Someone made me an offer to rename it in exchange for a nice payment. (In case you're curious, he offered me more money than I would've made in 1 year for the app. So of course I was interested in the offer!) I took down my app, and the name was instantly available. The other developer was able to register it right away while we were on the phone. (He was already logged into iTunes Connect and had the name typed out. All he had to do was press the "Continue" button once I renamed or deactivated my app).
I've done this a few times when trying to brainstorm names for my other apps as well - simply renaming an app makes the old name available instantly for anyone else.
Note: The name we're talking about is what's shown in iTunes Connect, which is what users would see in the App Store. What you name your app in the iOS Developer Center's Provisioning tool has no significance.
For anyone reading this, please don't misuse this flexibility by squatting on names which you don't intend to use.
Hope this helps.
