I am using codenameone for my mobile application. I use custom L10N dictionary on it and when I want to show one of these keys in dialog page it doesn't show that. Here is sample:
Dialog.show("Info", "errPassEmpty", Dialog.TYPE_INFO,
res.getImage("notification_error64.png"), "OK",
"Cancel", CommonSettings.TimeOut);
How can I show L10N values in dialog?
Thanks in advance.

I would like to add a dynamic button with parameter for WhatsApp template on Twilio.

This WhatsApp template have header, footer and dynamic button. I want to use the templat like this on Twilio. How should i create a template like this on Twilio?
I'm developing an app for my local newspaper. When you press the "Share" button, I want the standard iOS share interface to appear allowing users to share the URL of an article with Facebook, Twitter, etc. I'm trying to use the UIActivityViewController, and while it appears, it's not giving me all of the options.
Here's the code I use:
NSObject[] activitiesItems = {
new NSString(post.Title),
new NSUrl(post.URL)
};
var activityController = new UIActivityViewController(activitiesItems, null);
PresentViewController(activityController, true, null);
When the UI opens, this is all I see (no Twitter or Facebook):
This is in comparison to what I see when I share a page from Safari, which has the Facebook and Twitter options, along with a variety of others:
What do I have to change in my code to allow more of these options to appear?
1) Your code is fine
2) On your iOS Simulator go to the Setting and login to Twitter and/or FaceBook accounts and retest your app.
iOS Simulator Setting (botton off screen):
Here is my Simulator view with me logged into Twitter but not Facebook using the same code you posted:
3) Safari is a using a custom ViewController to display what you are seeing... If you actually try to share a link via that Twitter button you will be force to login..
4) Use an actual device for complete testing of all the possible sharing applications installed.
Those options are only supposed to show when you are logged in to an account in the Settings app for FB and Twitter. They are hidden if not.
However that doesn't really explain why they show up in Safari.
Perhaps including the NSString for post.Title in the items array is causing it to exclude some sharing options.
When trying to use Call To Action button into facebook to add "Use Application" button on my page, it asks for my ios app link but I don't know what to fill there. I've tried many things without success :
myAppName://
myBundleId://
myStoreId://
Do you know how to build that app link please ?
Thanks in advance.
The Facebook documentation on App Links should help you with your problem:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/applinks
Basically you need to setup a URL that has <meta> HTML content which Facebook uses to identify your app and deep link to it. You will need to configure for deep linking in your app too.
Is there any way i can prefill any string in FBWebDialog? Any workaround would do,I am aware facebook has deprecated the message parameter from their sdk.
My scenario is user clicks on a facebook contact
FBWebDialog opens and then the message gets prefilled with some text instead of a blank textfield.
any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Okay, from the comments it sounds like you want to post on the user's wall. Here is a method that is available in the FB SDK that pulls up a share dialog within your app and supports pre filled text
[FBDialogs presentOSIntegratedShareDialogModallyFrom:self initialText:#"Initial text" image:nil url:nil handler:nil];
Example with pre filled text:
Which type of dialog are you opening? (Sounds like the Send dialog, if you want to send a Facebook message.)
I do not think it is possible to even send a message directly to a user from iOS. When performing the following I get the error "This dialog is not available on this device"
[FBWebDialogs presentDialogModallyWithSession:nil dialog:#"send" parameters ...
iOS FB SDK WebDialog reference shows the following methods:
+ presentRequestsDialogModallyWithSession:message:title:parameters:handler:
+ presentRequestsDialogModallyWithSession:message:title:parameters:handler:friendCache:
Those seem to support pre-populating the message field. They only support apprequests though (not messages) and whether the message is even attached is a bit unknown (all I saw when testing was "User wants you to try App", not the actual string I set).
The javascript API (which could maybe be pulled up in a webview?) doesn't have a parameter to set the message probably because the Send dialog documentation says:
Facebook messages are a channel for person-to-person communication,
and not for apps to send messages, or encourage people to spam their
friends.
If you just want to post a message/share then you can use a share sheet which looks to support an initial message:
[FBNativeDialogs presentShareDialogModallyFrom:self initialText:#"My text to share" ...
I'm using the iOS QuickLook framework in a project and a client request is to add an Email button into the Actions menu, alongside the available actions already present.
Example: Email, Print, Open In...
Is there a way to do this? I was thinking setToolBarItems or something similiar but I don't want to replace default actions.
Thanks SO!
