I have already watched Apples's WWDC 2010 video of Building a Server-driven User Experience.
It is really a great concept but i need a simple example or tutorial to start with.
I have searched hours in Google for iOS Dynamic UI generation from XML or JSON based web services but didn't find anything useful so far.
More Information:
I am developing an iPhone application where i present user a Input Form like questionnaire with different types of question with different UI Controls to answer like Text Field, switches, image, audio, video etc.
Now I have different questionnaire for different user, I want to generate them dynamically and also store completed form in Core Data.
Any help or guidance to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx
have you seen heroku's Core Data Buildpack video?

I am new to objective c and still learning. I am making an app for my project in which user can download the whole website or webpage for later browsing..so i need some guidance, so if any one can give some suggestion that would be great
There are many ways to achieve what you asked for. Either by saving the websites data in temporary folder or you may save the whole site as pdf.
Alright — this sort of question shows my naïveté but I am asking it nonetheless so I don't venture down the wrong rabbit hole while trying out this app.
I'm making what amounts to a news app. Imagine taking a Wordpress blog and fitting it to iOS. Now, here's my question — what sort of feed / architecture should I be using to push information from my Wordpress server to my app? I would assume RSS using AFNetworking, but that seems to cause some rough edges, and all tutorials that I see end up pushing to a web view instead of a scrollview with nice, rendered text. Plus, none of the same tutorials seem to have anything further than the initial feed (loading more than the initial 10 stories given, for example).
I've already committed a few hours to trying the RSS / AFNetworking approach, but is there a significantly better alternative that I just haven't come across. (Note that I do have access to the back-end of my Wordpress site, i.e. it isn't somebody else's)
If you are building an iOS app that connects to WordPress, I suggest you to access the website data by an API instead of feed, then you can hit the API from your app and manipulate the data as you want.
If you have access to the WordPress backend, check the Thermal API which is a plugin that will probably solve your problem.
Cheers,
I would suggest that you look at https://wordpress.org/plugins/json-rest-api/ this is to be added to the core of wordpress so it would seem that is the way to go I think.
By the way I am working on the same type of thing as you.
I think the most popular Wordpress API is the one that comes with Jetpack. You can find its documentation here: https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/api/
If you just want read access, then i think the easiest way to do so is by using: https://github.com/evermeer/AlamofireJsonToObjects/blob/master/AlamofireJsonToObjectsTests/WordpressTest.swift
If you also want write access, then you have to implement Oauth2. For that you can select a library from: https://cocoapods.org/?q=oauth
I am using Version 4.4.1.0 of O2S.Components.PDF4NET
I am using this in an MVC project to run through a series of 6 views and fill an object with the data required for the PDF.
When the PDF is bound and emailed in the last step it works great. all except for when it is viewed by default PDF reader on iOS devices.
My company purchased this product on the cheaper plan so the 90 support is over and I cannot access any sort of forums from there site.
I read a similar issue regarding a button not being displayed on iOS but there was no resolution other then to email the company.
I hope that there is a viable solution as I would prefer not to have to cut my losses and change to a different product over something as short sighted as not supporting/testing against one of the more common platforms people use to consume media.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'bound content' but I assume you are talking about form fields.
Forms fields and annotations are not displayed by the CGPDF API in iOS, only the main page content is displayed. It is not a limitation of PDF4NET, it is a limitation of the iOS PDF display engine. The workaround is to flatten the form fields thus making them part of the page content.
If this is not your situation, please send a mail to support and they will help you.
Disclaimer: I work for the company that develops PDF4NET.
I'm rather new to IOS but i managed to get my app to display a list of blog posts from RSS feeds. I would like to give my users the ability to save the blog posts for reading later when they might not have an internet connection.
I will do this through a setting in the settings bundle. I do not however know what the best way is to store blog posts within my app. I am already using core data, would this be a good option for it?
If you are already using a persistence option then use it for everything, don't mix and match.
If you are already using Core Data then yes it makes sense to keep using it throughout the application for consistency and maintainability.
I have some experience in iPhone development. Now one client wants to develop a BI (Business Intelligence) related iPad app for their organisation.
As I have no previous experience in development of such an application, I googled a bit & learned that these BI related apps show various data present in an organisation in various chart/graphical formats to the user.
Q1) So what is the best way to pull these data from server?
Q2) Also is there any API / Framework available to do this kind of app in iPad?
If anyone has any other suggestions, please post here.
There are a TON of ways to do this. You can build it with most any technology that your organization uses. The main key is to keep a clear separation of tiers. Build a web application that queries your database and have it present the information as XML or JSON. You can then parse the data and present it in your iOS application.
For actually doing data visualization, you will want to take a look at Core-Plot. I've used it on projects and it has worked well: http://code.google.com/p/core-plot/
If your customer wants an out-of-the-box solution for getting their BI on mobile devices, take a look at Actuate/BIRT. They have a simple way to get it into mobile.
