I am using the new 3.1 Facebook SDK for iphone. I would like a user of my app to be able to choose a photo from his iphone and upload it to a Facebook page's album(this user is not an admin of this page).
if this is not possible i would like the user to be able to post a picture to the album feed.
also, which permissions i need to ask the user to do this?
There is currently a bug in the Facebook api which has yet to be fixed for at least the last year, that when you try to upload a photo to a page, it uploads it to the users stream.
I have been following this bug report for a long time, and does not seem like Facebook is going to do anything about it. this is the current answer for the question. will update if anything changes.

I'm currently working on an app that allows some feature to be displayed when a user clicks on another instagram user's pictures, ie, when the picture and the provision to comment on the comment section displays. This is a simple feature that in a way overlays over this page. M question is, does instagram or any other photo sharing app allow this?
Once the user downloads my app, he/she will be allowed to integrate my app with instagram and have this feature enabled.
Not sure I understand your question right or not. But there is no way to overlay your view to other application. There is a way to display part of your application in other application, which called extension but Instagram needs to design their application to add that feature which likely impossible.
Other way you can think of is checking if Instagram has API to see if a photo is liked/commented then you can response to that action.
On the click of a button in my app I want to launch the youtube app and check if a user is signed in and retrieve his youtube channel address and save it somewhere in my app. At first I though I could have the button open safari and take the user to the youtube sign in page and once he signs in ill copy the url of his homepage, but I dont think this possible and if it is there will be a lot of problems that I have to take into account.
Anyone got any ideas on how this could be done?
Since iOS uses app sandboxing you can't retrieve information from other apps, unless they explicitly call your app back.
You may use Youtube API to achieve what you want. The user would log in Youtube within your app, then you get the user's channel info.
I'm fairly new to posting to social media via Swift in an iOS app but need to be able to post an image to Twitter under a certain hashtag (i.e the user's image is always posted under this certain hashtag regardless).
So far, my app can take a picture and access the user's photo library, but I have run into some trouble implementing post to Twitter.
I have looked at the following questions: Post on twitter from ios app
How to make an ios app post to twitter
But most of the links referenced are either gone or outdated. I have also looked into Sharekit (http://getsharekit.com) as this would do the posting to Twitter automatically it seems, however Sharekit is deprecated.
Ideally, I would like the user to be able to take their photo (I have this) give it a caption, etc WITHIN THE APP then when they press a button it more or less "silently" posts to Twitter WITH the hashtag that I will have set in the app. I am unsure as to how to accomplish this.
What is the best way/approach to posting an image to Twitter via Swift? The hashtag bit seems to be the more difficult step - how can I "force" a hashtag on the user's post?
What you're probably looking for is the Social framework and SLComposeViewController.
Using the setInitialText(_:) method you can add text to the tweet, though this doesn't really force anything, as the user still has the possibility to edit the tweet before publishing, and it doesn't really work "silently" either.
Posting an image is done with the addImage(_:) method.
I am trying to develop an iOS app which can pull your Facebook videos. Very similar to this the Android app except the video download part. For this I need user_videos permission and for that my app should go through the app review process. Now they are asking for App Video and App runtime. I can give them but that has nothing but fb login screens with no videos. How should I proceed with this app?
EDIT:
I created a dummy app and submitted the runtime for it. Video here
Now as I dont have the user_video permission, I can only show placeholder videos (as shown in video). I explained my situation to them, and their reply was:
"Developers can configure a test user that has granted tokens for the requested permission. Please submit your app after you have incorporated the requested permission."
A test user is not allowed to get tagged or upload a video. And graph API also gives error in case I try to do that. How a test user can solve my problem here?
Facebook people are sometimes anxious to know if your app is not using any content that will violate facebook content policy. Just make a simple video of your two screens and they will approve the app in a short period.
Update
Following are the steps on facebook developer dashboard which will show you how to upload the video for review of your app.
Status and review -> Click on add notes in App detail section -> Enter the steps to be reproduced by facebook review team -> upload a screencast (Refer https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/review/examples#screencast )

After you have signed in a user with Google, you can access the user's age range, language, public profile information, and people that they have circled.
If you request the plus.profile.emails.read scope, you can also get their email address. With this rich social data, you can build engaging experiences and an instant community in your app.
For example, you might connect your user with their friends that also use your app or you might make suggestions based on their friends' activities within your app.
