I'm getting this strange problem I can't seem to find a soluition of. I have included net_rim_bb_qm_platform.jar in my project with the help of the following method:
In Eclipse, open the BlackBerry Application Development perspective.
Click File > New > BlackBerry Project.
In the New BlackBerry Project dialog box, in the Project Name field, type a name for your project.
In the JRE section, make sure you select a BlackBerry JRE that is version 5.0 or later, and click Finish.
In the Package Explorer view, right-click the project and click Properties.
In the Properties dialog box, in the left pane, click Java Build Path.
Click the Libraries tab.
Click the Add External JARs button.
Navigate to the folder where you extracted the BlackBerry Messenger SDK file,. In the BBM SDK folder, doubleclick
net_rim_bb_qm_platform.jar.
Click Next.
In the properties window, click OK.
When you are ready to build your project, on the Project menu, click BlackBerry > Package All.
But this method creates a tempXXXXX folder everytime I sign my app and there appears an Error (X) mark on the project folder. And the console says:
Error!: Error: preverifier failed: C:\Eclipse\plugins\net.rim.ejde.componentpack7.1.0_7.1.0.10\components\bin\preverify.exe -d C:\Users\ ...
Packaging project MyBBMApp failed (took 1.285 seconds)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Your subject says you have problems signing the file. In order to sign the file, make sure you have the three signing files available on your system (RBB, RCR and RRT). In order to sign an app, the files first need to be included:
BlackBerry (located at the top) -> Sign -> Install New Keys
Once the keys are included in your project, sign your app:
Right Click project -> BlackBerry -> Sign with Signation Tool. It will prompt for a password which is what you created when getting your keys.
Once the app is signed, package your project:
Right Click project -> BlackBerry -> Package Project
Make sure your app has no compilation errors in order for the app to package successfully.

I've been struggling publishing my iOS app for review with the following error:
Invalid Swift Support - The SwiftSupport folder is missing. Rebuild your app using the current public (GM) version of Xcode and resubmit it.
I'm using Xamarin.iOS to develop this app, and i receive the above error if i use Visual Studio to Sign and Export the IPA or if i use Xcode to publish.
Tool versions:
Xcode 9.0.1
Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 for Mac 7.2
Xamarin.iOS 11.2.0.11
I have tried the following suggestions:
IPA Packager (also Auto Packager)
Manual packaging using this guide
The second suggestion didn't give a different response.
Using the IPA Packager gave the following response from iTunes Store:

I have also tried publishing the app without stripping Swift symbols, when publishing from Xcode
This gave yet another result:
This bundle is invalid - Your archive contains paths that are not allowed: ( "AppThinning.plist" )
I'm out of ideas how to solve this. It's a strange feeling being so close to publish the app, and then struggling with this in the last step of the process.
To manually fix this problem per build, you will need to do the following:
Archive your app for Publishing.
When the Archives window pops up, go to it in Finder (right click on it and select "Reveal in Finder").
When Finder appears, we need to access the archive's content (right click and select "Show Package Contents").
Inside of the archive package, create a folder called "SwiftSupport".
Inside of the package navigate to "Product/Applications/YourAppName.app/Frameworks" (You will need to right click on the .app and select "Show Package Contents").
Copy all the swift ".dylib" files inside of the Frameworks directory.
Navigate back to "SwiftSupport" and paste those copied libraries.
Now Launch Xcode and load Organizer (Window -> Organizer).
Find your app in the Archives and "Upload to App Store...".
I was only able to get this to work using Xcode Organizer, using Xamarin always failed.
Note: I am using Visual Studio for Mac Community 7.3.2 (build 12).
This is copied from my answer found here.
Okay, so i solved my issue. It turns out that Xamarin doesn't yet provide support for Swift bindings.
A library i was using (Xamarin.iOS.CameraViewController) was using Swift bindings, using Xamarin.Swift3.Support. However, this version does not work with Xcode 9.0.1 as Xcode changes structure for the Swift libraries for each version according to the author of Xamarin.Swift3.Support.
I removed Xamarin.iOS.CameraViewController and all Xamarin.Swift3 references and the app completed processing.
I have a mac pro. I installed xamarin studio and everything I needed for android development on mac. The first time I created a project I ran it and everything works. I was able to click on a button which counted my number of clicks kind of like a default.
I decided to follow the Android quick start tutorial on Xamarin and when I got done creating the project and ran it nothing showed in my emulator. The controls I created did not show up. All I got on top of the screen was "Deployment Completed" . No error messages either. How do I trouble shoot this? I want to be able to see the screen I created in the Emulator and click on various buttons.
Now I just got an error message and it can be found below.
/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/External/xbuild/Xamarin/Android/Xamarin.Android.Common.targets: Warning: No -tsa or -tsacert is provided and this jar is not timestamped. Without a timestamp, users may not be able to validate this jar after the signer certificate's expiration date (2047-01-01) or after any future revocation date. (Phoneword)
My guess is that your Android project did not actually get built either because you have selected the wrong configuration and platform pair or because the settings for the configuration and platform pair are not correct.
When building and running on Android, you want to make sure you change your Platform to AnyCPU and then either choose Debug or Release for your Configuration depending on what environment you are targeting. For building and running on iOS, you would just change the Platform to iPhone Simulator or iPhone.
See image below for how to access these settings (just click where the red boxes are circled):
In Xamarin Studio, with your project open:
Click Project -> Solution Options
Choose the Configurations tab
Choose the Configuration Mappings tab
Now change the Configuration dropdown to Debug and the Platform to AnyCPU
Make sure that the Build checkbox is checked next to your shared project (most likely the one at the top) and that the Build checkbox is checked next to your Android project
Now click OK, make sure you have the correct Configuration and Platform are selected
Rebuild the solution and try to run it again
*Edit: After talk in the comments, the emulator must be unlocked to actually view the running app. To unlock the emulator:
Click and hold down on the lock icon at the bottom of your emulator screen
Drag the mouse up to the top of the screen and release the click
Earlier import option was available under repository section in organizer but in Xcode7 it's not so. How to add a project to svn?
My svn repository was setup with different user credentials and now when i try to commit with new user credentials,it asks for older user's password with old username disabled for change.
I have also added a new account in xcode preferences, still it is looking for the older username-password.
How can i move ahead with new user credentials?
In order to share Xcode 5 project on SVN, you can do it by doing the following:
1. Choose Xcode -> Preferences.
2. Choose “Accounts” tab.
3. In the “Accounts” tab, click “+” -> “Add Repository”.
4. Enter the SVN Repository information.
P.S. You may face the following error while trying to add SVN repo to Xcode as follows:
xcode cannot verify the identity of the server
In order to resolve this issue, just click "Show Certificate", unfold the disclosure arrow and set the “Trust” option menu to “Always Trust”.
5. After doing these steps, you can choose the local folder ("iOSProjects" for example) in which you want to do svn checkout. You can do this from "Source code" -> "Checkout".
6. Finally, you can create (or place) your Xcode project under your local folder "iOSProjects" to add and commit the project files to SVN.
Go to Terminal.
Right Click on Project and Show in Finder.
then in Terminal Write cd (drag the folder here).
Enter.
svn import - m "Your App Name" Folder Name SVN Url
Enter
Enter Your credentials.
Done.
I am new to iOS. and i am trying adhoc distribution ipa file from xcode.
1) I could able compile and run the application in the iphone/ipad.
2) But when i create archive, i am getting compilation error saying 'something.h' not found.
Could someone kindly direct me what could be wrong?
1-Try to open the organizer (Window -> Organizer), then the Projects tab. Select your project then hit the delete button next to the derived data path (to the right). Confirm and let it re-index your project.
2-Go to your project folder, Press on YOURPROJECTNAME.xcodeproj and right click and go to show package contents . Leave the project.pbxproj file, but delete the project.xcworkspace file, any .pbxuser files, and the entire userdata folder.
I hope it works..
If you are putting things in a group in the XCode project navigator, and it is not an actual folder, you do not need to do Mountain/Mountain.h. You would just include Mountain.h.
When creating a group in the project navigator, by default, these are not actual folders, they are just virtual project folders, so if it is trying to see the Mountain folder and it does not exist, you will get that error.
It is weird that it will compile and run otherwise, but just give that a shot, let me know if it works.
I've written an app and I want to upload it to Apple for review and AppStore.
I've read that the Application Uploader is located at /Developer/Applications/Utilities.
However, I don't know what I should do with this information.
Where do I find or enter "/Developer" so that I can the move on to "/Applications"?
Finder? Launcher? Command prompt? XCode?
Open your xCode
On the menu bar go to xCode-> Open Developer Tool -> Application Loader
In XCode 4 you don't need the Application Uploader anymore. Just select the device target (not the simulator), choose the menu Product - Archive.
This will result in a product in the archives section of your organizer (menu: Window-Organizer). Here you can have the app validated, and submitted.
BTW, /Developer is where XCode used to be, now XCode (4.3) is in /Applications/XCode, so that might be a little confusing.
Since an update of Xcode lately, the /Developer folder is not in use any more. You can find Application Loader and other apps within /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Applications.
To open this folder, copy the path, open 'Go > Go to Folder' in Finder and paste the path in the popup. Or find Xcode in you Applications folder, right-click on it, press 'Show Package Contents' and navigate to the right subfolder.
Tip: for quick access to Application Loader (and the other apps, i.e., FileMerge, Icon Composer, and Instruments), you can create an alias to them and place these in your Applications folder. Or, if you use them very often, drag them to your Dock.
