licence of iOS simulator device background image - ios

iOS Simulator comes with these nicely polished background images for various devices. If possible I'd like to use those for promotional purposes for my app. I couldn't find any informations about their license terms and whether Apple allows such usage (after all it's promotion for their Appstore too). Does anyone here have any info on this?

Marketing images are available from
https://developer.apple.com/appstore/resources/marketing/index.html
(Required sign in using your developer account)
This has images for all devices, as well as the App Store badges etc.
You can get screenshots without the simulator bezel by using the menu for the iOS simulator - that prevents you having to crop out to use the marketing images.

Are you required to provide every icon size to release your app to the app store? iOS

If you specify that an app is not universal (just for iPad or iPhone), do you still need to provide icons for both devices?
According to Apple’s iOS Human Interface Guidelines, every app must provide an icon to be displayed on a device’s Homescreen and in the App Store. An app should specify several different icons of different dimensions to suit different screen sizes and different situations.
You can save valuable time by using Makeappicon.com to generate app icons of all dimensions you need for submitting your apps to Apple in one click, no matter it’s built for iOS 7, iOS 8 and iOS 9, and focus on coding and improving your apps.

APP icons in iOS application | Artwork image

I'm working on iOS application (iPhone, iPad) and little confused about the app icon stuff. I'm using XCAssets and my app supports version>=8.3. So,the image below shows what I've selected from XCAssets and I've placed all these images.
I've looked into multiple links on Google and SO but getting confused e.g this link App icons iOS.
App icon for iTunes Connect. The above mentioned link states that we need to add Artwork icon for iTunes (1024x1024), but i don't know where to add that. I've checked this answer, but probably it's outdated now as i can't see any such options on iTunes Connect
What are "CarPlay" icons for?
What is "iOS icon is pre-rendered"
Please answer the above mentioned points. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated. Thanks
.
In addition to Wottle's answer,
Answer to the artwork icon point: We have to add app icon on itunes connect. For that you need to go into your app and have to update it in AppVersion/AppIcon as shown in figure attached. then click on "Save".
Ofcourse, this method will change with time (As apple makes update in itunes UI often). Right now, it's the way to do it.
The Artwork icon will be sent to Apple on the iTunes Connect site when you enter your application metadata for a release of your app. You do not put it in the XCAssets.
CarPlay icons are if your app supports CarPlay, Apple's iOS interface for car infotainment systems. Not needed if you app doesn't support CarPlay.
"iOS icon is pre-rendered" is a setting that will determine whther iOS addes a glare to the icon in iOS 6 and before. It should have no effect on apps installed and run on iOS 7 or later.

IOS different app icon depending on the device used

I can already detect which device is being used by the user (from iPhone 4 to latest and also the iPad etc.) my question is, is there any code or method for me to change the app icon depending on the device used?
No, You can't do this.
However you can add different images for different resolution, but Apple won't approve your app.

iTunes App store screenshots for applications that require hardware the simulator doesn't provide

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions here. I have an app that requires bluetooth. I own a few Apple devices, but, I certainly don't have all of them. The usual suggestion is 'use the simulator', but since the simulator doesn't simulate bluetooth, all I get is a big 'Bluetooth unavailable', which is unattractive for the store.
Will Apple accept it if I resize them in Photoshop? I can either use the 6 or the iPad mini, but they will need to be upscaled to iPhone 6+ (potentially losing quality).
Thoughts? Will I need to hunt down users with each device and then walk them through screenshots (seems so impractical)?
Many popular apps' screenshots are heavily doctored and Photoshopped. If your screenshots are not openly deceptive, you should be fine.
e.g. one of the first apps I checked in the App Store has screenshots which are cropped, framed with custom art, and extra blurbs added on the periphery: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cars-fast-as-lightning/id638218744?mt=8
This one crops the image, adds a blurb on top, and even has a photograph of a phone in a user's hand: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/health-mate-steps-tracker/id542701020?mt=8
These are both featured apps receiving prominent placement on the App Store.

Which Apple device to get to program a iOS mobile app with Trigger.io?

I want to make an iOS app but I don't have a Mac or any device with iOS. I read I can make an iOS app on Windows and Linux with Trigger.io. The app I want to make is rather simple.
What I would need is a device with iOS to test. Which devices should I get?
I was thinking on getting an Iphone 4 and Ipad 2 as they are cheap. What do you think? Will I be able to successfully build an app if I only test in those 2 devices?
Those would be good devices to test on. You'd be missing out on an iPad with a Retina display, which would mean you'd be guessing somewhat at the appearance of icons and launch images on those screens, but the most important thing is covering the phone and tablet form factors.
