what prepare for app means in itunes connect - ios

I have just finished my first app and finished all the instructions I have seen so ao to upload it to iTunes. Now, I see in the Itunes>Manage Your Application
Version1.0
Status Prepare for Upload
Date CreatedSep 23, 2012
next to the app icon.
Do I have to do anything else or it just waits approval from apple?
I know that this is not a programming question but I did't know where to aski and googling for it gave me nothing.
I have found that prepare for upload means that:
Prepare for Upload (Yellow)
Appears as the first status for your app. This status means that you should enter or edit metadata, screenshots, pricing, In-App Purchases, Game Center, iAd network settings, etc., to prepare your app for upload to the App Store.
but I have submitted add data and screenshots. How can I proceed to the next level?

Preparing an app for submission means configuring its metadata , or related in app purchases or if its a game then configuring game center , so once you are over with developing your app then you are ready to submit it to the iTunes app store review . so in your case you can follow the this link to upload your app to the app store. hope this would help.

Your app version will then be live on the store pending the customary processing times usually it takes 24 hours to reflect.

How to test game center without registering an app?

I need to test game center for an app that is still not ready for deployment. The book I'm following says that I need to register the app in iTunes Connect. But I don't want to release that app yet. Is there a workaround to be able to use game center even without submitting the app to the app store?
As long as you don't submit your first binary to iTunes Connect and get it approved, your app will not be shown on the App Store.
You can create your app record in iTunes Connect without worry, because it doesn't mean your app will be released. The information you submit can be changed as often you need as long as your app is in the state Prepare for submission. Once your app is approved, you need to submit a new version if you want to change some informations.
Game Center isn't the only service which require you to register an app on iTunes connect, you need to create a record too if you want to test in-app purchases.

New iTunes Connect: How to resubmit after "Metadata rejected"

I have submitted an app to to ITunes Connect and it was rejected because of incomplete metadata.
Here is what they wrote:
If your iTunes Connect Application State is Metadata Rejected, we do NOT require a new binary.
To revise the metadata:
- Log in to iTunes Connect
- Click on “My Apps”
- Select your app
- Revise the desired metadata values
- Click “Save"
- Once you’ve completed all changes, click the “Submit for Review” button at the top of the App Details page
Great, no new binary required, so I fixed the metadata, clicked 'save' and expected to be able to resubmit for review. However, when I click the "Submit for Review", I am getting the message "You must choose a build". But in the builds section, there is no build. And, on the other hand, I can not upload a build because I don't see how I can change the app's status to "Waiting for Upload".
Please help, I am lost in the new interface of ITunes Connect... :(
Just had my app rejected today because of rating issues. Edited the rating and saved it. Then, sent a message to Apple resolution centre and after few hours the status showed Processing for App Store. I didn't submit the app for review again. It would have again taken 8 more days for review.
Do try this before submitting the app again for review.
Same problem here
If your iTunes Connect Application State is Metadata Rejected, we do NOT require a new binary.
To revise the metadata:
Log in to iTunes Connect
Click on “My Apps”
Select your app
Revise the desired metadata values
Click “Save"
Once you’ve completed all changes, click the “Submit for Review” button at the top of the App Details page
Why can't you upload a new build? I have the same problem and the Application Loader allows me to upload a new build. After you upload new build you will be able to choose the build in iTunes Connect for your app. Then you need to submit the app to review again. It looks like that "Waiting for Upload" status is retired at all.
In the same time I think that it's not acceptable to wait about a week again until Apple team makes a new decision about the app. Earlier (before new ITunes Connect redesign) they supported ability to submit only Metadata without uploading new build and new review process took no more than a couple of days for this case.
I hope Apple will fix this limitation shortly.
Note:
Maybe this answer should be a comment but I don't have enough reputation to add comments. Please excuse me.
Follow This stpes
1) Login to itunes and Go to my apps

iOS In App Purchases rejection: Missing IAPs

I have submitted an iphone app with in-app purchase But my Binary is rejected and I have got the following message from Apple
From Apple. Missing IAPs
We are unable to complete the review of your app since one or more of your In App Purchases have not been submitted for review.
Please be sure to take action and submit your In App Purchases AND upload a new binary in iTunes Connect. Learn more about submitting In App Purchases for review in the iTunes Connect Developer Guide.
Once you've submitted your In App Purchases and uploaded a new binary, we can proceed with your review.
My questions is Should i create a new binary and upload it or can i resubmit the binary which the In App Purchase has been rejected ?
looks like an old post but but making it more detailed because I myself faced it and made me searching multiple posts for actual steps.
First of all, you don't need to create a new binary because you just forgot to select In App purchases for review. Below are the steps how you can do this
Before making the Application "Ready to Upload" you need to select all the In App Purchases in Applicatin's Detail Page.
At iTunes Connect -> Click your application -> Click Edit -> scroll to bottom, you would see In App Purchase link, select the In Apps you want to make the part of your Application Submission Process. Once you are confirmed then change your product status to "Ready to Upload Binary"
If somehow you forgot to do that then there is only 1 way. Which is Reject and then Re Do the process I mentioned above.
you missed to submit the in app purchases for review . Now each of your in app must have its status as " Waiting For Review " . You can submit your binary and related in app purchases to the apple review process . You should create a new binary and submit it to the app store review process.Hope this helps.
Here is my case. All info is included in the reply to Apple.
Thanks very much for reviewing the app.
On IAP a few days before,
our Product Manager did not know in-app purchase products subscription well .
In order to get more free user,
he sent three months subscription for free to new registered users
by adjusting member date on the server side.
After a lot of querying,
we will use IAP App Store Promotions to get more free user,
instead of changing the member date simply on the server side.
We have completed in-app purchases,
and will upload a new binary in App Store Connect soon.
Subscription issue, not on the iOS client Side, but on the server side.
I replied. After a while, I see the place "to submit the in app purchase" in an iOS product on App Store once.
I handled, and it disappeared. Very interesting.
I have not seen the place "to submit the in app purchase" in an iPad product on App Store.
On App Store Reviewing Issue, honest communication is very important.
Yes, you should create a new binary and upload it.
You should do what Apple told you to do.
This is my case.
Firstly, you should add meta info to IAP products.
The meta info, is an image with its description.
Get it ready.
Then Apple will add IAP Add Options in the app version page, which is to be reviewed, after some time.
Six steps from Apple, Workflow for configuring in-app purchases
Sign a Paid Applications Agreement
Configure in-app purchases in App Store Connect
I thought the In App Purchase link is here, which Ahsan.Amin means, iOS Version 13.2
Enable in-app purchase in Xcode
Design and create your in-app purchase
Test in-app purchases
Publish your app and in-app purchase on the App Store

I cannot access my in app purchase all I get is :

I'm trying to learn in app purchase I have upload an app which is a test app, rejected the binary so it has the status rejected by developer.
I created an in app purchase product, but I have this warning at the top :
Your first In-App Purchase(s) must be submitted with a new app version. Select them from the In-App Purchases section of the Version Details page and then click Ready to Upload Binary.
and the status of my in app purchase is always :
ready to subnmit.
I tried to re submit my test app, so that status was back to waiting for review, then went too my in app purchase it still had the same line above at the top and still the status of ready to submit.
I then re rejected my my main binary but the status of my in app purchase is still the same.
I dont understand how I can go from there.
Tks for all the help !
Serge
I found the solution, I didn't read the instruction properly, but going back to my general app , in the view details a new section appeared where I could link my in app purchases to the app, I missed it somehow.
might help somebody else that missed it too !
