How can I enable retweets? - twitter

I downloaded and checked so I dont show retweets. But I kinda want them, how do I change this? And the other settings too would be nice.
I've tried looking at the xslt file but it seems just to call the macros.

You have to set include_rts to true in your REST calls to get retweets.

How to check if a file is read only?

Neither io nor lfs seem to have an option to check for this. I need to use this feature to simulate some code that does this check.
It seems there's an undocumented permissions field in the table returned by lfs.attributes(). Thanks to #siffiejoe for pointing this out, didn't see it when I read the code.
Another approach is of course to try to read from the file, that will always work but might be slower.
You could also try opening the file and setting a (temporary, of course) read lock on it. Not sure about the portability of file locking in Lua, though.
Note: checking if a file is readable and then doing something can break due to race conditions; the permissions of a file can change between your check and the following action.

Delphi: Set Browsers Homepage

I want my application to be able to set IE, Firefox, Chrome & Operas homepages when a button is pressed. I understand IEs homepage is set in the registry, which I understand how to change, but can anyone give me any help with the others? Thanks
Chrome stores the homepage in a file called 'Preferences'. On Windows XP, this is located at;
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application
Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
On Vista+, it's located at;
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
This file is JSON format, and so it can be opened and viewed as plain text. In order to change the homepage, you'd need to load the JSON from this file, and change the homepage field value. You may also need to change the homepage_changed field value in order for it to stick. Using something like SuperObject to change the field would be an easy solution (if I get time, I'll write up some example code later).
Firefox uses a pref.js file to store it's settings, and realistically, a way of changing this would be to load this file, find the something that's along the lines of;
user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "[URL]");
...and edit it as appropriate before saving the file. This should be a simple task using some simple find-and-replace code. I'd strongly advise that you use a pos() function though, as it could be that the end-user has already got their own custom homepage set and so searching for a preset string (e.g. [URL]) may not work, and certainly wouldn't be reliable.
A quick search hasn't given me enough information about Opera to provide a solution, but I'll keep looking and respond if I do find such a way.
Note that none of these methods have been tested and are merely provided based upon some very quick research.

Embedded Youtube videos not appearing in infowindows

I am attempting to embed Youtube videos into some of the infowindows in the following KML file:
http://www.jonangfoundation.org/files/newdef.kml .
The videos show up fine on Google Earth and KML Builder, but on this page they do not show up at all:
http://www.jonangfoundation.org/taktentest
Anyone know what could be keeping them from showing up?
Unfortunately your 'test' page does not load - Page Not Found error.
However, I think you need to set the correct MIME type for .kml files. Your newdef.kml is presented in my browser window as XML rather than downloaded as a .kml file. That might be your problem, it is hard to tell with nothing else to go on. check out this link for details about setting the right MIME

Edit: I am not sure what is going on. Your KML code looks okay to me, and I see you have tried a few different approaches, none of which appear to work. I suggest you visit this SO question, as it's answer is something you could do to make it work.
Basically, you override the default behaviour when a placemark gets clicked, and allow iframes and javascript to be used in the balloon. It is the original way of getting around your problem (however I thought it was fixed in recent version of the plug-in. Maybe not?)
I believe your content is being scrubbed. See link for description and possible work around.

Symfony TinyMCE Widget sfWidgetFormTextareaTinyMCE will show code at the end

I'm working on my first symfony project (it's great !), i am using the sfWidgetFormTextareaTinyMCE widget for a form in the backend (to display the WYSIWYG).
It works fine, but at the frontend, instead of showing me the formated text, i have the strong,p,... tags in the text.
Same if i paste a youtube code for example.
Does someone knows how i could solve this issue ?
Thanks in advance.
Julien
so these strongs and p's... did you create them in WYSIWYG mode on the back end or did you try and paste actual code into the editor? To cut and paste code you need to be in source mode. Other wise you need to use the controls for bold on the tool bar and and line breaks for the p's.
If you used source mode, make sure strong and p are configured to be allowed by tinyMCE - i thought they were by default, but maybe not.
Thank's for your answer.
Actually i justed used the $object->getRaw()->getValue() method instead of $object->getValue() and i got the "raw" result.
In fact it was properly saved in the database, i just didn't knew how to avoid the auto escaping.

Excel file to be restricted from opening with any other formats

I would like to know that i have an excel file with 18 sheets and it should be opend with any other versions.
for example if i right click on the file and select open with open office the same is being opened. i would like to lock this.
not possible.
The user or OS decides which programs to invoke.
The best you can do is to obfuscate the data from being read, except with the correct program.
That's not strictly correct. You could create a macro that is tied to the Workbook_Open event that checks to see which version of Excel is being used (i.e. Application.Version). For example, you could try doing something like the following:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
If Int(Application.Version) <> 11 Then
Workbook.Saved = True
Workbook.Close
End If
End Sub
However, this won't work if users have macros disabled and I have no idea whether it would work on OpenOffice either. I do know that OpenOffice has a VBA equivalent, but don't know enough about the object models to say whether an Excel macro will behave the exact same way in OpenOffice.
I suspect that the best option is to password-protect your workbook and include a macro that checks to see which version is being used. Not a fool-proof approach but probably the closest you're going to get.
