I'm trying to use other editor with TortoiseHG, instead of (Windows) Notepad.
I have tried the solutions mentioned here:
Mercurial and Notepad++ Integration
and here:
https://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/thg/wiki/OpenAtLine
But no results. When I right-click a file and choose "Edit Local" no file is opened at all, except when I don't set any specific editor (then file is opened in Notepad).
I have tried different editors, like Notepad++ and Sublime Text 2, and no result. Also, I tried to change configuration using "Setting" in GUI, and editing "C:\Users\<my_user>\mercurial.ini"
For example, I tried:
#### # For Sublime Text 2
[tortoisehg]
editor = C:\Program Files\Sublime Text 2\sublime_text.exe [$FILE:$LINENUM]
#### # Or, for NotePad++ :
[tortoisehg]
editor = C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\Notepad++.exe ["$FILE" -n$LINENUM] -multiInst -nosession
What I'm doing wrong?
You'll kick yourself...
Change:
[tortoisehg]
editor = C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\Notepad++.exe ["$FILE" -n$LINENUM] -multiInst -nosession
To:
[tortoisehg]
editor = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\Notepad++.exe" ["$FILE" -n$LINENUM] -multiInst -nosession
Note the additional quotes around the path to Notepad++.
I'm guessing it's exactly the same issue with your path to Sublime Text too as both paths contain a space.
Strange editor = C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\Notepad++.exe without double quotes worked for me

In Notepad++, view Settings > Shortcut Mapper > Scintilla commands. The command SCI_LINECOPY, currently assigned to Ctrl + Shift + X, copies the current line to the clipboard for pasting elsewhere. Very nice!
Does Visual Studio 2019 have something similar under Tools > Options > Environment > Keyboard? The Edit.Duplicate command, which copies the current line into the editor though not to the clipboard, is excellent but only superficially similar to SCI_LINECOPY.
For me, without any additional adjustment, this is a normal process as shown in the pictures below.
When the cursor is in the line (1), I can copy it to the clipboard without selecting the text first using Strg+C.
Followed of course by Strg+V (2) or optional by step (3).
SSIS hangs and I am unable to open the solution. In the lower left corner there is a message "Testing Connectivity". SSIS does not respond to any command, it does not let me access the package or change any setting.
In Windows explorer, Go to the folder with the solution and package that you cannot open
Open the user preferences file , that is the file with the extension .user
Open the file in a text editor and find the setting for OfflineMode
Change the value to true, it should look like this: "OfflineMode > true< / OfflineMode>" (wihtout the spaces)
I want to find Auto-Alignment Shortcut Key in Keil uVision. I tried some shortcut keys but I can not find. In Visual Studio I used to: CTRL + K + D , but in keil uVision I don't know how it is work.
For example :
When you type below ( usually copied from another text file which was not tabified correctly):
Use the shortcut key Auto Alignment with this block of code can auto formatting your code as below :
Stop searching. There is no such feature.
Was able to align in uVision5 with Astyle (http://astyle.sourceforge.net/).
File must be saved so that this tool can do its work.
Instructions :
Copy the Astyle.exe file to the Keil installation directory (e.g. D:/Keil_v5/)
Then open Keil and under the Tools menu, open the Customize Tools Menu option.
Create a new Menu Content, the name can be casual .
Command selects the Astyle.exe file in the keil installation directory.
Fill in Arguments !E
You can add a shortcut key for the operation in Edit.

Recently my vim will change current directory no matter what I do. I'm using spf13 distribution and when I am in a rails app root directory and did vi, my pwd will be correctly in app root directory. But once I open some file, any file, it will change the pwd to abosolute/path/to/myrailsapp/app/assets/stylesheets,
When I don't have let g:spf13_no_autochdir = 1 in my .vimrc, vim will change the pwd to current file directory; When I do, it will change to the stylesheet directory whenever I open a file.
I'm also using rails.vim installed. Here is the related code inside my .vimrc
if !exists('g:spf13_no_autochdir')
autocmd BufEnter * if bufname("") !~ "^\[A-Za-z0-9\]*://" | lcd %:p:h | endif
" Always switch to the current file directory
endif
UPDATE:
What I want: the pwd always stay in absolute/path/to/myrailsapp/, no changing to the stylesheet directory automatically whenever I open a file.
Actually I just found and had a look at the plugin. I assume this is it:
https://github.com/spf13/spf13-vim/blob/3.0/.vimrc
Around line 75 you can see:
" Most prefer to automatically switch to the current file directory when
" a new buffer is opened; to prevent this behavior, add the following to
" your .vimrc.before.local file:
" let g:spf13_no_autochdir = 1
So just add that last line (without the comment-marker quote) to your .vimrc and you'll get rid of the automated directory change.
I note that neither method in my other answer would have worked, because the plugin author for whatever reason decided not to use the built-in option, and also not to put their autocmd in a group. Naughty, naughty!
I solved this according to Ben's second answer.
spf13 loads configuration files in order as follows.
.vimrc.before - spf13-vim before configuration
.vimrc.before.fork - fork before configuration
.vimrc.before.local - before user configuration
.vimrc.bundles - spf13-vim bundle configuration
.vimrc.bundles.fork - fork bundle configuration
.vimrc.bundles.local - local user bundle configuration
.vimrc - spf13-vim vim configuration
.vimrc.fork - fork vim configuration
.vimrc.local - local user configuration
if !exists('g:spf13_no_autochdir') check is done at (7), so let g:spf13_no_autochdir = 1 should be loaded before that.
I put it in .vimrc.before.local, and it works as expected.
There are two ways this could be happening.
The most likely, is that this "spf13" configuration includes set autochdir. To find out whether this is the case, start up Vim normally, and type :verbose set autochdir? and press Enter. This should tell you IF autochdir is set and WHICH FILE set it to that value.
If autochdir is set, then you only need to set up a VimEnter autocmd, or stick a file in ~/.vim/after/plugin, to turn it off again after spf13 loads.
If autochdir is NOT set, then probably an autocmd is setting your directory for you. If there is a plugin option in SPF13 to turn it off, then do that. If not, you'll need to find where in the plugin the directory is getting changed. If you're lucky, the autocmd will be in an augroup by itself, and you can then remove that autocmd with :au! GroupName. This command can be in the same places; a VimEnter autocmd, or a file in ~/.vim/after/plugin.
This is what happened. We downloaded Quickreports 505, installed it, but had to revert to QR504. Now we are getting
[BCC32 Warning] W8123 Path 'C:\Program Files\Embarcadero\RAD Studio\8.0\Quickrep505C' not found - path ignored in option '-I'
This question has been asked on both Embarcadero, and quick report forums but all of their answers has been modify the cbproj file, which do not contain any references to quickreports.
I've tried removing all the references from the IDE but the warning still occurs. Any suggestions on how to fix what should be a simple problem.

IDE: C++BuilderXE
Note I do not want to disable all warnings in the IDE, and I don't want to disable warnings in Code.
I've had the same annoying problem. To fix this I had to delete all reference to the file in the EnvOptions.proj file. This file is located in the ...AppData\Roaming\Embarcadero\BDS\8.0\ folder.
I got rid of this in my XE7 IDE directly via:
Tools > Options > Environment Options > C++ Options > Path and Directories.
There were invalid paths to libraries being referenced and showing up as warnings in the build. Select each of the ... icons to explore the list of paths included, and select Delete Invalid Paths to remove unused paths.
To enhance and update prior answers, this is what I had to do...
From the menus: [Tools] [Options]
In the Dialog box: [Environment Options] [C++ Options] [Paths and Directories]
Now at the top on the right side in the drop down pick: [32-bit Windows] (it started as Android)
The clear invalid paths in both tabs [Compiler] & [Classic Compiler]
Remove Warning Message File Path Not Found
[BCC32 Warning] W8123 Path 'C:.....' not found - path ignored in option '-I'
Version 10.4.2 Sydney
========
In IDE Right Click on Executable
Options...
C++ Compiler->Directories and Conditionals
Include file search path > (Double click)
then click on
Value from "All configurations - All platforms"
Click on ... in right hand side in text edit box on right hand side
Click on down arrow beside button "Tasks"
Delete Invalid Paths
"Save"
I have this project that I sometimes work at at the office and sometimes at home. And the paths of the external files are not the same on both computers, so I added them both in the folder lists.
Is there another way to supress these warnings without having to remove "invalid" paths from the folder lists?
Edit:
I thought I found the answer, but this setting doesn't work
