Trying to paste into a new brush, I get the following error message:
Error while executing script-fu-paste-as-brush:
Error: Procedure execution of file-gbr-save failed: Could not open 'C:\Users\username/brushes/mybrush2.gbr' for writing: No such file or directory
The folder "C:\Users\username\brushes" indeed does not exist;
The brushes folder in the preferences is: "C:\Users\username\ .gimp-2.6\brushes", which does exist.
To work around this, I created the "C:\Users\username\brushes" folder, and now the brush was saved to that new folder, but I got a different error:
Error while executing script-fu-paste-as-brush:
Error: Procedure execution of gimp-context-set-brush failed on invalid input arguments: Brush 'My Brush' not found
I tried to copy the gbr file from my newly created file to "C:\Users\username\ .gimp-2.6\brushes", refreshed the brushes, and indeed, my new brush appeared.
So, it seems that gimp reads the brushes from the correct folder, but tries to write new brushes into an incorrect folder!
I use GIMP 2.6.7 on Windows Vista.

I am trying to add additional icons into my project using Delphi 11.1.
I have produced the .rc file with links to the icon files, e.g:
FILES ICON "D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\Icons And Images\PositronFiles.ico"
PROJECTS ICON "D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\Icons And Images\PositronProjectFiles.ico"
I have added to the .dpr file:
{$R 'PSResource.res' 'PSResource.rc'}
But, on doing a full build, I get messages like this:
[dcc64 Hint] H2161 Warning: Duplicate resource: Type 14 (ICON GROUP), ID FILES; File D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\PSResource.res resource kept; file D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\PSResource.res resource discarded.
[dcc64 Hint] H2161 Warning: Duplicate resource: Type 14 (ICON GROUP), ID PROJECTS; File D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\PSResource.res resource kept; file D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\PSResource.res resource discarded.
The resulting .res file does not include these extra resources.
I have also tried adding the files directly into the resource file using a Resource Editor. This ensures the resources are in the .exe file, but I cannot access them when I use Icon.LoadFromResourceName(Handle,'NAME'), where Handle is to the open window.
Am I doing something wrong?
EDIT:
I tried using the "Project > Resources and Images" dialog.
I removed all references to the .rc file and the file itself. Added the icons I wanted to add, did a build, and now get an error:
[dcc64 Error] E2161 Error: RLINK32: Unsupported 16bit resource in file "D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\PositronStudio.dres"
The icon files comprise RGB/A images at resolutions of 64x64, 48x48, 40x40, 32x32, 24x24, 20x20, 16x16, and RGB 256 at 48x48, 23x23, 24x24, 16x16.
Are any of these unsupported?
I removed and reloaded the icons in "Resources and Images". Tried again and did a full build. The resulting .res file only contains the application icon.
I still get the warning
[dcc64 Hint] H2161 Warning: Duplicate resource: Type 24 (user-defined), ID 1; File D:\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\Projects\Positron Studio\PositronStudio.res resource kept; file D:\Documents\tmssoftware\TMS VCL UI Pack\WINXP.RES resource discarded.
I renamed all the WINXP.* files, and removed all references within the project. Now I don't get the warning of duplicate resource files, but the resulting resource file after a full build still doesn't contain the added icons.
Checked in .dproj for .rc and RCCompile, neither were found.
After removing all the superfluous rc and res files I edited the res file to include the additional items I needed then did a build. This time the res file wasn't overwritten by the compiler. They are now embedded in the exe and I can access them in the application.
It has uncovered another issue in that I cannot change the Icon of a form at runtime. I will raise it as separate topic if I cannot find the solution.
I am trying to complete a paper in latex downloaded from an online template.
there shows an error while compiling:
This is BibTeX, Version 0.99d (MiKTeX 21.6)
The top-level auxiliary file: Islam2021.aux
I couldn't open style file IEEEbib.bst
---line 69 of file Islam2021.aux
: \bibstyle{IEEEbib
: }
I'm skipping whatever remains of this command
I found no style file---while reading file Islam2021.aux
(There were 2 error messages)
Process exited with error(s)
How can I fix this?
IEEEbib.bst is not a default style include in tex distributions. Either you can download it from wherever you have your online template from or you could try your luck with a random version of the file from somewhere on the internet, e.g.
https://2021.ieeeicassp.org/Papers/PaperFormat/IEEEbib.bst
(this might be a different version and might give different results ...)
I have created an application on angular 7 and ionic 4.
I tried to edit app.routing.ts file, setting path and component. From then on I am getting this error below:
ERROR in ./src/app/department/department.module.ts
[ng] Module build failed (from ./node_modules/#ngtools/webpack/src/index.js):
[ng] Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, open 'C:\Users\x\department\department.module.ts'

[ng] at Storage.provideSync (C:\Users\x\node_modules\enhanced-resolve\lib\CachedInputFileSystem.js:98:13)
Make sure department component exist, check the templateUrl that corresponds to the file name you are referencing. You may have also modified the path unknowingly during modification of app.routing.ts file.
C:\Users\x\department\department.module.ts
This error occurs when your component can't be found with your app.module settings.
Follow these steps to solve your problem:
Check if the module.ts file exists.
Check the relative path.
The path is case sensitive (maybe the .ts file is Department).
Both answer are useful from #trustidkid and #vinay sharma. If there is someone has been facing the same problem;
1-Go to to the file that the error has occurred in. (To go directly to the file, click the error line shortly [CTRL+Click] (CMD+Click on MacOS):
ERROR in ./src/app/department/department.module.ts
Then check the path address if it is exactly true pointing the file. Most of these problems are having similar solutions. Just be sure about the path address of the file you want to point and the address mentioned in the other file which the error occurred.
This problem happens when you delete a component but forgot to delete its import from module.ts.
For example: TestComponent is deleted so you have to also delete:
import { TestComponent } from './test.component'
If you have a folder mapping on a windows machine like me, do not try to build it from a mapped folder, go to the original folder and build it from there.
Mapped Folder has a small icon like this:
In my case I had prime ng version that did not support a particular module, I simply commented it out and it worked.
I am trying to add a brush to the Brush folder in gimp (version 2.8)-> C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\brushes
I chenge the extension to desert.gbr from desert.jpg.
When I open up GIMP and refresh the Brush menu it gives me an error!
Failed to load data:
Fatal parse error in brush file 'C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\brushes\gimp-obsolete-files\Desert.gbr': Unknown version 1067590.
Can someone help with this issue?
Thanks in Advance
Because a .jpg file is not GIMP BRush file (a.k.a. GBR).
The correct ways to transform an image into a brush is to open the image in GIMP itself,
and file->export it as a .gbr file into your brush directory.
An easier way is to open the image, copy it (ctrl + c) and select edit->paste as->new brush... from the menus - that will automatically select the correct file type and directories for you.
Unlike brushes, GIMP's patterns can be any image file - so you can copy an image directly into a GIMP's pattern resource directory, and you won't get an error like the one above.
I am trying to use
TZipFile.ZipDirectoryContents()
Like so:
TZipFile.ZipDirectoryContents('Test.PCF', WorkingDir);
If I am reading this right, it should save the contents of folder "workingdir" into a file named Test.pcf.
Now when I do this I get error::
Raised exception class EFOpenError with message Cannot open file
...test.pcf. The process cannot access the file because its being used by another process."
Two things confuse me:
It says that it cannot open file. There is no test.pcf yet. I was hoping this would create it.
It says cannot access file. Is this because it's not created yet? Am I using this function wong? If so how would I create a zip file from a folder location?
I tested your code and it failed in the same way as you reported.
I then created an empty zip file manually by running WinZip.
Then ran your code and it ran fine.
It appears that the zip file has to already exist for ZipDirectoryContents to work.
To create a zip file programatically:
myZipFile := TZIpFile.Create;
myZipFile.Open('c:\myfolder\newzipfile.zip', TZipMode.zmWrite);
myZipFile.Close;
myZipFile.Free;
This line will then work:
TZipFile.ZipDirectoryContents('c:\myfolder\newzipfile.zip', WorkingDir);
