We are familiarizing ourselves with the Apple mobile b2b distribution model. We understand that we can distribute our app to any customer that has signed up with their VPP. We just distribute the app to the VPP number and no one else would have access to the app except for the business we distributed it to.
My question is how does the customization work? My assumption is that we would make a custom build of the app with the appropriate customizations (like branding) and then submit it to apple and only have it distributed to the proper VPP number. So each custom app would be distributed to one VPP.
So does customization really mean 1 submission per VPP? If we didn't want to customize anything then we could just submit one app and add as many VPPs as we need?
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The company I work for is busy in developing an enterprise app for both iOS and Android platform. The problem we've run into is that on the iOS app store, the name we need is already taken. So before we start experimenting with other options for the app name, we want to approach the developer and make him an offer for the name/or app, seeing as it seems like an inactive app with very low downloads.
Is this something worth looking at? Is this even a plausible option to explore?
Yes, there is an option to solve your problem.
You can buy that app by contacting the developer, and then you can change the entire setup.
The developer can transfer the app from his/her account to your company's/your account.

we want to build our HTML5 App through Phonegap Build for the App Store.
Has anyone else published a Phonegap App to the App Store? Or is there any difference in publishing to the App Store to a normal "native" App?
Of course any information about that would be very helpful!
Thanks for your help!

The review process is same as for other iOS apps. The Apple guidelines are available here. Apps are evaluate based on a range of criteria, including user interface design, functionality, content, and the use of specific technologies.
PhoneGap obviously gives you access to all the device features, so you have all you need to build an app that complies with the guidelines. Here is some authentic tips (one from Phonegap) that you must take care-

another
I published a Phonegap App to the AppStore and there are absolutely no differences!

I have got a standard iOS individual developer license for $99. Now I am in need of iOS Enterprise license which requires $299. Can I use the existing license for Enterprise distribution itself( By paying only $199) or Do I need to get new license?
Please suggest me.
You need a new license, and remember you must be a company or organization with a D-U-N-S number to apply for one.
More information can be found here: https://developer.apple.com/support/ios/enterprise.html
This piece of information basically says you need a separate Apple ID to join each program, hence you can't 'upgrade'
Can I use the Apple ID associated with my iOS Enterprise account to join another program?
No. The Apple ID associated with an iOS Enterprise Program cannot be used for a standard iOS or Mac Developer Program.

i couldn't find answers to the question anywhere, so because in stackOverflow I always get good answers for my coding problems from professional people, i would like to get help with these questions. I`m familiar with IOS developer program (99$) but I have two clients that ordered apps for iPhone and wish to distribute only inside their company, so i need to bye enterprise program (299$).
Do I need open 2 different enterprise accounts if i wish that firm A only can update and destitute her app?
How the company will distribute the app to their workers?
How the updating apps work, each company will use the own app store like option?
If you don't use two separate accounts, one for each client, then the apps for both clients will exist in the same store.
When we develop for enterprise clients we request that they get their own Enterprise license. A DUNS number is required for this process anyway. Not just anybody can get an Enterprise license.

I wrote one bad selling app. Since the revenue does not even cover the iOS Dev account, I thought about not prolonging it. What would then happen to my app and the sales I have in future?
If you do not renew your iOS developer account then your app will be removed from sale once the account expires.
Your app will not be available for purchase any longer, but beware that it will still appear in the App Store with the information and screenshots that you have provided.
