I uploaded my first app to iTunes connect, on the 23rd it changed status to Waiting For Review. The box which shows the status of app reviews says 80-99% of apps in the last 5 days have been reviewed.
Does that include the Waiting For Review period, or only from the In Review period?
Basically how long should I wait before I wonder if it's disappeared down a black hole?
I have no problem with waiting weeks, just Im unsure what the percentage says actually mean.
EDIT: I also meant to ask if the the stats Apple give in the developer centre, include the Waiting For Review period?
Well, most of the apps i submitted into the App Store were submitted within 7 days - it does not make any difference if you submit new app or just an update. The latest update i submitted took 8 days to review, so maybe it's a bit 'crowded' at the moment.
As per my experience, it could be between 1 day to 6 days. But you never know what might have prevented you app to go through..

After update my app on apple store, old user aren't receiving any message to update it.
Apple store on one's phone shows the other apps demanding for update, but not mine.
Any ideas why it not appearing on the update list?
If one search for my app and click on update it does work, but my old users has no way to know there is a newer version of my app available.
EDIT: None of the answer below was right. after research the issue I finally found the problem.
The first version of the app was set to worldwide and the new version is country restricted, since we knew it, we checked if the mobiles not receiving the update message was from aboard and they wasn't, excluding the possibility of it cause the issue.
But in fact, for apple, if you buy a Belgium iPhone, uses an Belgium sim card, register on Apple Store as Belgium account and associate a credit card from Spain, your phone will be considered Spanish. The credit card is the only matters.
So, the users not receiving the update message are the ones with a foreign credit card associated to their account.
Thank you everyone for try to help! I hope this question help someone.
If you updated your app within the last few hours, it may simply be that Apple hasn't indicized your app yet. Give it time.
That sounds like you have deployed the update for newer version of iOS than your previous users have on their iDevices - in that case, they aren't eligible for update. Or it's just too soon - give it a day or two.

I hold my application for "Developer release after approval" on iTunes Store. I have released my application and current status is "Ready to Sale". I am still not able to see the latest version on the iTunes Store. I am already waiting from last 6 Hours. Could anyone please tell me how much time Apple takes to make live the new version of the application?
As per the documentation,
Your app version will then be live on the store pending the customary processing times. The delay is due to propagating your application's status across their all iTunes servers. This process usually takes different time for different servers. But, it'll be available within a day.
It can happen. It might take an undetermined period of time before the app actually show up in searches.Normally for my apps the time period was about half an hour to one hour although I remember one of my apps took about half a day to appear normally on the iTunes. In the initial period you might also notice that not only you cant search for it but the app does not even appear in your apps list in the iTunes.
Usually it takes upto 24 hours.

It was my frist app and i submitted my app without validating to app store will it create some problem or can validate it again and resubmit it?
No.. It's not compulsary. But it's good practice to do. If there are some issues with your archive than you will get it first before uploading and that will be very useful to you :). Otherwise you will get error in uploading progress. So it's always good to validate but again it's not compulsary.
You can submit it without validation. If your application status in iTunes is "Waiting for Review", then don't worry. Because if it was improper, then it will not allow you.

Yes as I said it takes 18 days for an app to be approved and submited to applestore.
I submited two apps already and they took soo long to appear on appstore.Waiting for review took 10 days and in review took 8 days to pass is it normal guys or apple is not showing importance to me or my country ? Is this means that my updates will take same time ?
Also when I check applestore with an ios 5.1 version iPhone I see that my app is in the new apps list just one day after release and its normal but on itunes and on applestore for ios 6.0 an app which is submitted 5 days ago still don't appear on new apps list. When I check the new apps list with iTunes I can see that appss posted 8 days ago appear as new apps on the list so can we say that the old apple store and new one is updated in diffrent times ?
Thank you.
I've been on the AppStore from the start, and I've had apps take from two days to six weeks to get approved. It seems that average is a week or two. Yet, we have no information on what Apple is doing, so there is no way to really respond. When you want to work marketing into your product release, just ensure you plan at least two weeks ahead, and expect that approval can take some time. Apple probably is like any other company and has restraints of how many people are currently approving apps, as well as how many apps are being submitted. There is a chance things are taking longer now, as many apps are getting submitted to work with the new 4" screen on the iPhone 5 and iPod Touch 5th Generation.
EDIT: I am not apologizing for Apple, just looking at the situation from their perspective. I wish apps would be approved in a faster time-frame. That won't help the situation any, and it is more realistic to plan that it will take some time. If it takes less time, great!
It took 9 days for my first app to get to review state, in review it was 2 hours, now I just received information my second app was approved which took 7 days till review and 2 hours later it was approved. I don't think there is anything personal or related to your country regarding apple process they use to review your apps.
About the new app list, I think only apple can give you the right answer for that, otherwise it's just guessing.

I could create Sample.pkpass.
Naturally, I created a Pass Type ID, sample.cer, sample.p12 from iOS Provisioning Portal.
Also I created logo.png, logo#2x.png, pass.json, manifest.json.
Then I created S/MIME signatured, zip compressed.
Then, I tried sample.pkpass on iOS6 Simulator to Safari.
http://localhost/sample/sample.pkpass
I was able to see my Boarding Pass.
Then, I pushed the "Add" Button in the top right part of the screen.
Then, my Boarding Pass has disappeared from the screen.
So, I started Passbook App, but I could not see my Boarding Pass.
Is it because the application is running in Simulator?
