With regards to SharePoint 2007 versioning feature:
Is it possible to put restriction on who can delete the version of a changed item in a SharePoint List?
Can the versioning be apply to new item?
Example: Suppose there are 3 items created inside a SharePoint List, it will be called Version 1. Later, someone add 5 new items into a SharePoint List, this will result in Version 2. So, if the admin notice that the 5 new items are invalid entry, it can simply delete Version 2.
Is it possible to delete certain version for a particular item in a SharePoint List?
Yes. You can customize or create new permission roles (ex. you can customize the contribute role to disallow deleteing items) See: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/manage-permission-levels-HA010117209.aspx
Versioning is applied on a per-item basis. So, in your example, each Item would be at version 1 when uploaded. Suppose an item is edited, then checked in and published as a major version. That item is now version 2 while the other items are still version 1. Batch deletes based on version like you suggest is pointless. Instead, just delete the items individually.
Yes. See the answer to #1. One of the customizable abilities is the ability to delete versions.

I need to have more control on backlog....
Years ago, we have created a project using a SCRUM Process... Not all developers pay attenction to use correctly TFS... There are many problems I'd like to solve step by step...
First one... I would like to prevent to close a PBI until subtasks opened exist. Can be possible? I have looked for on google... I have looked for settings everywhere on tfs but it seems it is not possible... I remember that on Jira could be possible... is it possible that Microsoft haven't implemented this option?
Do you have any idea to avoid that subtask remain opened when parents are closed?
Thank you
There's no way to do that. The state of work items are totally independent of all other work items, including linked work items.
The best way to manage it at the moment that I've seen is to either:
Handle it via process: Be diligent about reviewing the sprint board and don't close user stories with open tasks
Write a work item query that shows you this information. Something like this will do the trick:

Recently my company took Jira for Agile project management. As part of our process definition, we have a list of items that need to be covered in Sprint Planning (we used to use a checklist in trello for managing them). In Jira, how do we incorporate the checklist in Sprint Planning?
To handle checklists in JIRA Issues you can have a look at this plugin Checklist for JIRA.
For your use case I would prefer to handle Sprint Planning or any meetings in Confluence (if you can have it).
You can nicely link Confluence with JIRA Issues in both direction.
A couple of options spring to mind.
You could create a custom issue type called 'Sprint Planning' and add to it custom field checkboxes for each item on your checklist.
Alternatively you could just add in an issue and put the checklist in the 'Summary' field.
There may also be checklist plugins for JIRA (although I don't have any personal experience of them).
We also use Confluence page as a meeting agenda or checklist and the nice thing about Confluence page is that it is easy to reference issues from Jira and comes with a built-in checklist.

I'm currently using Jira Agile for managing my projects.Currently, I have 3 projects: A,B and C. Is there any way to create a Sprint with task from different projects. For example, this week should work on bug fixing so it might be expectable to have 2 bugs from project A, 3 bugs from project B and 2 from project C. How can I accomplish this?
I agree with mdoar, you simply need filters.
I'd create new Issue Type, let's say "Bug_fix_sprint" which is common for all projects, then open tickets with that type in each project, then I'd use Issue Type Filter to add them on dashboard. Or, maybe, I'd create a new dashboard for this sprint
The filter for your board needs to be changed to include the issues you want from all three projects

I've set up TFS 2012 on a server and am trying to add a user to the Project Collection Valid Users group. I'm trying to do this through the web interface.
When I hit Save Changes it errors with TF50618: The Team Foundation Valid Users group cannot be modified directly.
What I am trying to do is get one user set up on TFS so that I can connect Visual Studio 2012 to it. I do not have any projects set up yet. My intention is to import a VSS repository into TFS.
I think the Project Collection Valid Users to be a read only group. The members of that group are determined by the members of the child-groups. If you want to have another person in that group, try adding them to one of the groups within the scope. As it sounds like an administrative task you are about to do, add your user to the Project Collection Administrators Group.
Later, you are assigning new users to the Team Projects of the Default Collection. The Team Projects are automatically assigned to the Project Collection Valid Users Group.

I am extremely new to SharePoint. What I need to do is have a folder's content sort by date. We have a list of Automated Reports, which is really a list of different report folders. I need this list to sort by name (which it is). However; I need to be able to sort the files inside each folder to sort by Date - Descending. I created a View and I thought I was assigning it to a specific folder, but the entire list of Automated Reports sorted by date.
So, my questions are: Should I be using a View? And, if so, how to I assign it to a specific folder? And, if not, what should I be doing to set the files to always sort in Descending Date order?
Also, please note: I'm not sure if the version of SharePoint we're using is 2007 or 2010. Best guess is 2007.
A friend of mine found a simple solution for that.
You need to create a site column of type Date and Time, and assign Today's date to it. Then, you append this site column to the Document content type, and make the sorting view first by the field Today, then by Title.
The Folder content type won't have the Today site column, so, it will sort by title. When you upload a document inside a folder, you will have your sorting settings by the Today column.
