I've followed this guide : http://symfony.com/doc/current/reference/forms/types/file.html
and tested the sample here
However when I try the code, I have an error :
Call to undefined method Symfony\Component\Form\Form::move()
This is happening with the line :
$form['attachment']->move($dir, $someNewFilename);
I wonder why there is this error ?
This doesn't use the 'Form' class, but I have had success retrieving uploads directly from the request:
/* #var Request */
$request = $this->getRequest();
/* #var UploadedFile */
$uploadedFile = $request->files->get('upfile'); //upfile must be the value of the name attribute in the <input> tag
if (null === $uploadedFile)
return new RedirectResponse($this->generateUrl('_upload_index'));
/* #var string*/
$filename = $uploadedFile->getPathname();
I finally found the solution
the doc is wrong
instead of :
$form['attachment']->move($dir, $someNewFilename);
it should be :
$form['attachment']->getData()->move($dir, $someNewFilename);
Now it's better to do as explained in the official documentation :
http://symfony.com/doc/2.0/cookbook/doctrine/file_uploads.html

I have added route to update emails in a database which uses PUT method
$app->put('/notifications/{email}', 'add_email_address');
and function for it looks like:
function add_email_address($request, $response, $args) {
$email = $args['email'];
$addon_email = $request->getParam('addon_email', null);
echo "ADD/UPDATE $email with $addon_email";
}
UPDATE somehow on testing PUT method with a form input post addon_email = test#null.com retrieved value for $addon_email is empty;
Any tips what I'm doing wrong?
You should use $request->getParams() to get array of all POST/PUT parameters, or you can use $reqeuest->getParam('key', 'defaultValue'), where 'key' is paramter name and 'defaultValue' is... well, default value in case parameter is missing.
So,
function add_email_address($request, $response, $args) {
$email = $args['email'];
$addon_email = $app->request->getParam('addon_email', null);
// some code....
return $response->withJson("ADD/UPDATE $email with $email");
}
EDIT
We both forgot that you should return response object. )
Since add_email_address is route callback, it should return Psr\Http\Message\ResponseInterface response.
I have got it to work by changing
$addon_email = $app->request->getParam('addon_email', null);
to
$allPostPutVars = $request->getParsedBody();
$addon_email = $allPostPutVars['addon_email'];
It looks like getParam works only for GET method. Also content-type must be set as x-www-form-urlencoded
I am trying to do use the post method for a simple suitescript program, i am very new to this.
In Netsuite i have written a suitescript as follows.
function restPost()
{
var i = nlapiLoadRecord('department', 115);
var memo = nlapisetfieldvalue('custrecord225', ' ');// this is a customfield, which i want to populate the memo field, using rest client in firefox
var recordId = nlapiSubmitRecord(i);
}
i have created a script record and uploaded this suitescript and even copied the external URL to paste it in restclient.
In Restclient(firefox plugin), pasted the external URL, i have given the method as post, header authorization given, content-type: application/json, and in body i put in {"memo":"mynamehere"};
In this the error i get is
message": "missing ) after argument list
I even tried it by writting other suitescript programs the errors i get is as follows:
Unexpected token in object literal (null$lib#3) Empty JSON string
Invalid data format. You should return TEXT.
I am kinda new to the programming world, so any help would be really good.
I think you are trying to create a RESTlet for POST method. Following is the sample code for POST method -
function createRecord(datain)
{
var err = new Object();
// Validate if mandatory record type is set in the request
if (!datain.recordtype)
{
err.status = "failed";
err.message= "missing recordtype";
return err;
}
var record = nlapiCreateRecord(datain.recordtype);
for (var fieldname in datain)
{
if (datain.hasOwnProperty(fieldname))
{
if (fieldname != 'recordtype' && fieldname != 'id')
{
var value = datain[fieldname];
if (value && typeof value != 'object') // ignore other type of parameters
{
record.setFieldValue(fieldname, value);
}
}
}
}
var recordId = nlapiSubmitRecord(record);
nlapiLogExecution('DEBUG','id='+recordId);
var nlobj = nlapiLoadRecord(datain.recordtype,recordId);
return nlobj;
}
So after deploying this RESTlet you can call this POST method by passing following sample JSON payload -
{"recordtype":"customer","entityid":"John Doe","companyname":"ABCTools Inc","subsidiary":"1","email":"jdoe#email.com"}
For Authorization you have to pass request headers as follows -
var headers = {
"Authorization": "NLAuth nlauth_account=" + cred.account + ", nlauth_email=" + cred.email +
", nlauth_signature= " + cred.password + ", nlauth_role=" + cred.role,
"Content-Type": "application/json"};
I can understand your requirement and the answer posted by Parsun & NetSuite-Expert is good. You can follow that code. That is a generic code that can accept any master record without child records. For Example Customer Without Contact or Addressbook.
I would like to suggest a small change in the code and i have given it in my solution.
Changes Below
var isExistRec = isExistingRecord(objDataIn);
var record = (isExistRec) ? nlapiLoadRecord(objDataIn.recordtype, objDataIn.internalid, {
recordmode: 'dynamic'
}) : nlapiCreateRecord(objDataIn.recordtype);
//Check for Record is Existing in Netsuite or Not using a custom function
function isExistingRecord(objDataIn) {
if (objDataIn.internalid != null && objDataIn.internalid != '' && objDataIn.internalid.trim().length > 0)
return true;
else
return false;
}
So whenever you pass JSON data to the REStlet, keep in mind you have
to pass the internalid, recordtype as mandatory values.
Thanks
Frederick
I believe you will want to return something from your function. An empty object should do fine, or something like {success : true}.
Welcome to Netsuite Suitescripting #Vin :)
I strongly recommend to go through SuiteScript API Overview & SuiteScript API - Alphabetized Index in NS help Center, which is the only and most obvious place to learn the basics of Suitescripting.
nlapiLoadRecord(type, id, initializeValues)
Loads an existing record from the system and returns an nlobjRecord object containing all the field data for that record. You can then extract the desired information from the loaded record using the methods available on the returned record object. This API is a core API. It is available in both client and server contexts.
function restPost(dataIn) {
var record = nlapiLoadRecord('department', 115); // returns nlobjRecord
record.setFieldValue('custrecord225', dataIn.memo); // set the value in custom field
var recordId = nlapiSubmitRecord(record);
return recordId;
}
There is this new Export functionality developed on this application and I'm trying to test it using Behat/Mink.
The issue here is when I click on the export link, the data on the page gets exported in to a CSV and gets saved under /Downloads but I don't see any response code or anything on the page.
Is there a way I can export the CSV and navigate to the /Downloads folder to verify the file?
Assuming you are using the Selenium driver you could "click" on the link and $this->getSession()->wait(30) until the download is finished and then check the Downloads folder for the file.
That would be the simplest solution. Alternatively you can use a proxy, like BrowserMob, to watch all requests and then verify the response code. But that would be a really painful path for that alone.
The simplest way to check that the file is downloaded would be to define another step with a basic assertion.
/**
* #Then /^the file ".+" should be downloaded$/
*/
public function assertFileDownloaded($filename)
{
if (!file_exists('/download/dir/' . $filename)) {
throw new Exception();
}
}
This might be problematic in situations when you download a file with the same name and the browser saves it under a different name. As a solution you can add a #BeforeScenario hook to clear the list of the know files.
Another issue would be the download dir itself – it might be different for other users / machines. To fix that you could pass the download dir in your behat.yml as a argument to the context constructor, read the docs for that.
But the best approach would be to pass the configuration to the Selenium specifying the download dir to ensure it's always clear and you know exactly where to search. I am not certain how to do that, but from the quick googling it seems to be possible.
Checkout this blog: https://www.jverdeyen.be/php/behat-file-downloads/
The basic idea is to copy the current session and do the request with Guzzle. After that you can check the response any way you like.
class FeatureContext extends \Behat\Behat\Context\BehatContext {
/**
* #When /^I try to download "([^"]*)"$/
*/
public function iTryToDownload($url)
{
$cookies = $this->getSession()->getDriver()->getWebDriverSession()->getCookie('PHPSESSID');
$cookie = new \Guzzle\Plugin\Cookie\Cookie();
$cookie->setName($cookies[0]['name']);
$cookie->setValue($cookies[0]['value']);
$cookie->setDomain($cookies[0]['domain']);
$jar = new \Guzzle\Plugin\Cookie\CookieJar\ArrayCookieJar();
$jar->add($cookie);
$client = new \Guzzle\Http\Client($this->getSession()->getCurrentUrl());
$client->addSubscriber(new \Guzzle\Plugin\Cookie\CookiePlugin($jar));
$request = $client->get($url);
$this->response = $request->send();
}
/**
* #Then /^I should see response status code "([^"]*)"$/
*/
public function iShouldSeeResponseStatusCode($statusCode)
{
$responseStatusCode = $this->response->getStatusCode();
if (!$responseStatusCode == intval($statusCode)) {
throw new \Exception(sprintf("Did not see response status code %s, but %s.", $statusCode, $responseStatusCode));
}
}
/**
* #Then /^I should see in the header "([^"]*)":"([^"]*)"$/
*/
public function iShouldSeeInTheHeader($header, $value)
{
$headers = $this->response->getHeaders();
if ($headers->get($header) != $value) {
throw new \Exception(sprintf("Did not see %s with value %s.", $header, $value));
}
}
}
Little modified iTryToDownload() function with using all cookies:
public function iTryToDownload($link) {
$elt = $this->getSession()->getPage()->findLink($link);
if($elt) {
$value = $elt->getAttribute('href');
$driver = $this->getSession()->getDriver();
if ($driver instanceof \Behat\Mink\Driver\Selenium2Driver) {
$ds = $driver->getWebDriverSession();
$cookies = $ds->getAllCookies();
} else {
throw new \InvalidArgumentException('Not Selenium2Driver');
}
$jar = new \Guzzle\Plugin\Cookie\CookieJar\ArrayCookieJar();
for ($i = 0; $i < count($cookies); $i++) {
$cookie = new \Guzzle\Plugin\Cookie\Cookie();
$cookie->setName($cookies[$i]['name']);
$cookie->setValue($cookies[$i]['value']);
$cookie->setDomain($cookies[$i]['domain']);
$jar->add($cookie);
}
$client = new \Guzzle\Http\Client($this->getSession()->getCurrentUrl());
$client->addSubscriber(new \Guzzle\Plugin\Cookie\CookiePlugin($jar));
$request = $client->get($value);
$this->response = $request->send();
} else {
throw new \InvalidArgumentException(sprintf('Could not evaluate: "%s"', $link));
}
}
In project we have problem that we have two servers: one with web drivers and browsers and second with selenium hub. As result we decide to use curl request for fetching headers. So I wrote function which would called in step definition. Below you can find a function which use a standard php functions: curl_init()
/**
* #param $request_url
* #param $userToken
* #return bool
* #throws Exception
*/
private function makeCurlRequestForDownloadCSV($request_url, $userToken)
{
$ch = curl_init();
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $request_url);
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
$headers = [
'Content-Type: application/json',
"Authorization: Bearer {$userToken}"
];
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, $headers);
$output = curl_exec($ch);
$info = curl_getinfo($ch);
$output .= "\n" . curl_error($ch);
curl_close($ch);
if ($output === false || $info['http_code'] != 200 || $info['content_type'] != "text/csv; charset=UTF-8") {
$output = "No cURL data returned for $request_url [" . $info['http_code'] . "]";
throw new Exception($output);
} else {
return true;
}
}
How you can see I have authorization by token. If you want to understand what headers you should use you should download file manual and look request and response in browser's tab network
I am using jslint. I have this tolerance setting in my comments.
/*jslint todo: true*/
The online tester passes it. I have it passing in a piece of code tested earlier. However, later on I get this failure message:
Missing property name.
Does anyone know why the property name is regarded as missing in the second place and not the first?
Update 17/072014 15:03 - included code
I was able to isolate the issue with the following code. Below you can see the parts of the code if run in lint.com and what errors they output:
/**
* #todo "Unexpected TODO comment".
*/
/*jslint todo: true*/
/**
* #todo Will be tolerated by jslint.
*/
/*jslint todo: false*/
var obj = {
/**
* #todo "Unexpected TODO comment".
*/
};
/*jslint todo: true*/
var obj = {
/**
* #todo jslint will tolerate this line.
*/
};
/*jslint todo: false*/
var obj = {
/*jslint todo: true*/
/**
* #todo jslint will never get to this line.
*/
/*jslint todo: false*/
};
What I found was that the tolerance properties could not be set inside an object literal. I can now work around the issue.
I had trouble finding documentation on the issue because my searches for 'literal' were being obscured by the literal notation errors. Does anyone know why this occurs or if there is documentation to explain it, or even just state that it happens?
JSLint does not like it when you introduce /* */ comments inside of objects.
For example, I had this error with this code:
config.output = {
/*jslint nomen:true*/
path: __dirname + '/public',
/*jslint nomen:false*/
publicPath: BUILD ? '/' : 'http://localhost:8080/',
filename: BUILD ? '[name].[hash].js' : '[name].bundle.js',
chunkFilename: BUILD ? '[name].[hash].js' : '[name].bundle.js'
};
And it was resolved by changing that to:
/*jslint nomen:true*/
config.output = {
path: __dirname + '/public',
publicPath: BUILD ? '/' : 'http://localhost:8080/',
filename: BUILD ? '[name].[hash].js' : '[name].bundle.js',
chunkFilename: BUILD ? '[name].[hash].js' : '[name].bundle.js'
};
/*jslint nomen:false*/
I know it's been a year or two since you asked but, hopefully this helps anyone else who is looking.
When i launch the php script, sometime works fine, but many other times it retrieve me this errror

In this mode i force the script to re-check the file that caused the error
You are first of all calling a function:
$entry = simplexml_load_file($feedURL);
That function has a return value. You find it documented on the manual page of that function:
http://php.net/simplexml_load_file
Then you use that return value in form of a variable $entry without verifying that the function call was successful.
Because of that, you run into an error next. However your error/mistake is how you treat the return value of the function.
Not dealing with return values properly is like calling for trouble. Read about the function you use, check the return value(s) and proceed according to success or error conditions.
$entry = simplexml_load_file($feedURL);
if (FALSE === $entry)
{
// youtube not available.
}
else
{
// that's what I love!
}
Sometimes? Really?
Take a look at this:
<?php
$dummy; //IN FACT, this var is NULL now
// Will throw exactly the same error you get
$dummy->children();
Why? Because, we can call method from an object type.
So, if you wanna avoid errors like this one, next time you would call the method ensure that it's "possible".
<?php
if ( is_object($dummy) && method_exists($dummy, 'children') ){
//sure it works
$dummy->children();
}
