I can't figure out how to pass parameters coming from a form to a web service. I suppose i have to use an XPATH expression but i don't know how and where.
Is there somebody here that knows how to do that ?
In advance thank you,
See this how-to: Call a service passing a field value. It will walk you though the process of creating a form which uses the Yahoo! Weather API to give you weather information about a city you select, calling the service every time you change the value, and showing the result in another field.

I have 2 scripts - one to fire on open trigger, and one to fire on save, I'm not sure which one would work best with function scope etc...
But basically, users are sent to the survey form using a public link, and additional info is added to that link in the form of parameters/queries, such as:
booking=123456
start-at=1429952400
item=1702
I'm trying to have the script save these parameters, or even the entire URL that was used to open the form, preferably on the same row as the survey response, but even if the user doesn't submit the form, I would still like to save the URL as a non-completed survey (hence the on-open and on-save triggers).
I looked into:
function doGet(e) {},
function URL(text) {},
function doPost(e) {},
even console.log(params); and console.log(e);
as well as others and I cannot seem to get access to the URL.
What gives? Should I just code this on my own server and run my own form? I would really like to figure out google scripting but it seems just too cumbersome at this point. Any help or solution would be highly appreciated.
To be clear, I don't think I can use a pre-filled url, because I don't know that parameter values ahead of time, and I don't think you can use hidden fields for pre-filled anyway.

A prefilled-url could be used to set the answers to all the questions in a Google Form.
Please bear in mind that Google Forms doesn't support hidden questions in the sense of an HTML form does, the way that you could do this is by putting the question on a section that the form response flow never show it but on the prefill view all the sections are displayed.
Regarding using Google Apps Script to handle Google Forms a custom URL query string that is not supported, so if that is a deal-breaker, then you should use other options.
If you like so much Google Apps Script you could use it to create a web application as doGet pass the URL query string / parameters to the server side code and also you could grab them from the client-side code by using the HTML Service.
I've been trying to use the google place api to get the shops inside a specified range from my coordinates and street adress as parameter, but not lucky.
Would be possible to someone tell me what if I may be sending the request with the wrong parameters?
https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/place/findplacefromtext/json?input=wickham%20street&inputtype=textquery&fields=photos,formatted_address,name,opening_hours,rating&locationbias=circle:500#-27.4554492,153.0334623&key=[APIKEY]
Thank you
Can you do that? If so, how? I'm using some of the methods here https://api.slack.com/methods but I haven't found any information about using time range as an argument.
When I asked that question I had believed you should ask about date range using extra args field so I had felt like I was specific enough. I believe Slack API docs does not document such use cases as getting date range. Good thing is that there is a tester on the https://api.slack.com/ page.
To get time ranges you need a method that supports that.
Here is an example of such method:

I want to check what are ALL the possible parameters for any existing website url. Assuming the site is working with parameters type query string "architecture" (and not MVC for example) something like:
http://www.foobar.com/p1&itemsPerPage=50&size=500
Let's say there are other parameters which I don't know exist, and I don't see them in the url at the moment. For example, parameters like max, day and OtherExoticVariable. Again, I don't know their names but want to know ALL of their names. Is there some way of requesting the server to respond will all possible url parameters?
I would prefer a method with Javascript that I could run quickly through a browser but could also do asp.net c# if necessary.
Thanks a lot!
Ray.
It is the script/app running on the server that decides what parameters are valid. Unless the app provides such a query mechanism you can't do it. The server has no idea what is valid and what isn't.
Not guaranteed to get you ALL query strings, but it is often helpful to Google
"foobar.com/p1& * ".
You will be able to see all the public occurrences of query strings for the foobar.com website.
(As the accepted answer says, there is no general method to access query strings unless the website provides an API.)
I do not think this is possible. Each Web application designer can decide on the parameters individually, and you only know them if you see them being used.
I'm trying to implement a jqxGrid, using sorting and paging on the server. I don't have access to the server itself. Taking an example from:
http://www.jqwidgets.com/jquery-widgets-documentation/documentation/phpintegration/php-server-side-grid-paging-and-sorting.htm
I implement the client-side and want to use a mock static file as a response. I can't manage to figure out what kind of JSON response format is meant to be returned.
How do I 'catch' and edit/format the JSON response from the server? (Where in the code?)
Is there anywhere a working example of a jqgrid with sorting done on the server, to be viewable online? (So I can observe the data structure returned).
What do you mean exactly? Do you want to edit the data itself or the view of the data? If it is the later one you can use cellsrendered. For a live demo look here. You can also change the value here since you have access to the value field but it is by column.
Yes, look here.
