I noticed in youtube page. for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=related&hl=en&v=Xr8vUTm64h0 on the right part of the page, there have a suggestions list.
I would like to ask: how to get this suggestions list via api if I have the current video's all the information? is it relay on a category search or use other search method? Thanks.
You're probably wanting the related videos feed.

this is how youtube displays multiple playlist...how can I add this just like they have it to my site AND to linkedin profile?
embedding the share html link just brings in playlist but it does not display properly....I need it to appear exactly like it does in attached pic???
Linking to your LinkedIn profile, I have not tried. So perhaps someone else can tell you.
As to having a section like the one you showed to be on your own site is doable.
Firstly you will need to collect the playlist ID's that you are going to use.
Then you will need to get the video ID's from the video's in each Playlist.
This can be done with the API.
As to the displaying it like on youtube, you will need to do that yourself with one or more combination of table's, div's and CSS. Then With the information you grabbed in the APi, populate it.
Best to do it in a loop so as to be done all at the same time. Then put it to the page where you require it to be.
I'm creating an app where i would like to display video result from the YouTube site.
However, i do not want the user to register for this.
After i registered my app, and allowed "YouTube Data Api", Still when i'm calling from my app:
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/search?part=snippet&maxResults=3&order=relevance&q=test®ionCode=AR&type=video&key={MyKey}
I'm getting back "forbidden (403)"
This issue suppose to be really simple, but i'm really straggling to get this to work, i'm thinking maybe it has something to do with the new API version 3.0, that you can not search without authentication?
Any help would be much appreciated thanks.
You can use below URL for searching of youtube videos using version3
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/search?part=snippet&q=nokialumia&key=#"API _KEY"&maxResults=20&pageToken=0
For suggestions of you tube videos you can use below link. It will gives you the data in XML format. You can parse and get results.
http://suggestqueries.google.com/complete/search?output=toolbar&ds=yt&q=nokialumia
If you want to use Version 2 use below link
Youtube Search using version 2.0
Hope it helps you...!
What kind of results do you want to see? Views, comments, share, likes? I think that you are not able to see any results by Youtube Data Api or Youtube Analytics API V3 without a valid key. You can find all error codes and their meanings from this link.
I hope it helps.
I'm looking for the best way to display a list of videos from a specific Youtube channel. Is it correct to parse the html data from the URL, or Apple won't approuve it? I also tried to use a UIWebView, but I can't get only the videos of the channel.
Any help is welcome
Parsing the html files seems like a really complicated and bad idea. Try if you can find something in YouTube's API.
Is there any YouTube API which enables external applications to search for keyword/brand name across all video comments on YouTube and send it back to some URL? Also, pull method is fine if the proposed push idea does not exist.
So I would like to know if my brand was mentioned in any video comment on YouTube, similar as what Twitter allows with User/Site Streams.
The YouTube API (v2.0) defines comments as a property of the video object. Details on this relationship here:
https://developers.google.com/youtube/2.0/developers_guide_protocol_comments?hl=en#Retrieve_comments
Therefore, in order to search every YouTube comment you would need to traverse the entire collection of videos. If you're going to attempt something like this, it makes sense to validate your concept by first focusing on the feeds or categories that are most relevant to your brand. Details on feed and categories here:
https://developers.google.com/youtube/2.0/developers_guide_protocol_video_feeds
https://developers.google.com/youtube/2.0/developers_guide_protocol_category_keyword_browsing
No, there isn't anything like this available from the existing youtube api (neither V2 nor V3)
Hi guys, this is my first time to post on this awesome community so
please bear with me.
I am working with a Wordpress Plugin that can display a Youtube Search Results into Video Playlist.
My settings are:
Keywords
Author
Content- channel/keyword
My first Approach was this:
with this api as reference,
search for the keyword > display the relevant results according to the author as playlist
*I'm in doubt if I this is possible, coding 30%
*I'm not sure where could I use my settings for Content
but then when my coding is in progress I recently bumped an article that says Youtube Search is differrent on Searching a Youtube Playlist
Now I can't continue my coding because I'm not sure If I'm doing it
right. Can you give me some advise with this situation or show me some
similar project/examples?
You don't have to write any YouTube Data API code for this; it's a built-in feature of the YouTube Player.
This blog post has an example of loading a list player that takes its content from the recent uploads of a channel. You can do something similar by setting listType=search&list=SEARCH_TERM, where SEARCH_TERM is whatever string you want to search for (be sure to URL escape it). You can read more in the documentation.
