update UItableviewcell after button tapped for cell - uitableview

Hello guys i have cells in tableview, but there are two different UIButtons to be assigned to cell. Depend on if the filename those cell indication is there in the sandbox.
i am doing this by following function while creating cell.
NSLog(#"%#", filepath);
if ([[NSFileManager defaultManager] fileExistsAtPath:filepath])
{
[button setTitle:#"Submit" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[button addTarget:self action:#selector(SubmitData:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
}
else
{
[button setTitle:#"Fetch" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[button addTarget:self action:#selector(FetchData:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
}
but the thing is that when i press Fetch button and when FetchData function is called, i fetch the data and save it in the sandbox. So i want to update the button to Submit as now the file is their.
So do i have to put something in FetchData function to update the cell button to Submit,
I tried using [self.tableview reloaddata];
but won't update the cell.
FULL CODE
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *FirstLevelCell= #"FirstLevelCell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:FirstLevelCell];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:FirstLevelCell] autorelease];
NSDictionary * assignment = [assignments objectAtIndex:[indexPath row]];
cell.textLabel.text= [NSString stringWithFormat:#"Riding Number is %#", [assignment objectForKey:#"Riding_Number"]];
cell.detailTextLabel.text= [NSString stringWithFormat:#"Poll Number is %#",[assignment objectForKey:#"Poll"]];
UIImage *buttonUpImage = [UIImage imageNamed:#"button_up.png"];
UIImage *buttonDownImage = [UIImage imageNamed:#"button_down.png"];
UIButton *button = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
button.frame = CGRectMake(0.0, 0.0, (buttonUpImage.size.width)*1.20,
buttonUpImage.size.height);
[button setBackgroundImage:buttonUpImage forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[button setBackgroundImage:buttonDownImage forState:UIControlStateHighlighted];
button.tag = [indexPath row];
NSString * filepath = [self dataFilePathwithFilename:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#_%#.plist",[assignment objectForKey:#"Riding_Number"],[assignment objectForKey:#"Poll"]]];
if ([[NSFileManager defaultManager] fileExistsAtPath:filepath])
{
[button setTitle:#"Submit" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[button addTarget:self action:#selector(SubmitData:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
}
else
{
[button setTitle:#"Fetch" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[button addTarget:self action:#selector(FetchData:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
}
cell.accessoryView = button;
cell.selectionStyle = UITableViewCellSelectionStyleNone;
return cell;
}
// Configure the cell...
return cell;
}

set the closing } for if (cell == nil) right after cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:FirstLevelCell] autorelease];
it says in your comment where you should configure the cell!.
the if-not-nil statement is for creation only!! after this block you have to configure the cell (set texts, buttons, images, accessoryView, ...). Just remember the cell could be in ANY state. When a cell leaves the visible area (topmost cell when you scroll down), it will be put in a pool where you grab it out again with dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier and configure it to match the required index path (bottom cell that slides into the screen when you scroll down).

How to save the clicked button indexpath in custom cell?

Here is my problem, i have a custom cell in that 1 label and 4 buttons like question and answers,when the user click on the button 1 remaining 3 button go like this,
When the user scroll the cell it is not saving the what the user selected button i mean to say user click on the what ever the button it is not saving.
Here is my code,
ViewDidLoad()
{
testArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc]init];
for (int i =0; i<[mainArray count]; i++)
{
[testArray addObject:#"Unchecked"];
}
-(UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *cellId = #"Cell";
ContestQATableViewCell *cell =(ContestQATableViewCell *)[tableViewQA dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:cellId];
if (cell==nil)
{
NSArray *myNib;
myNib =[[NSBundle mainBundle]loadNibNamed:#"ContestQATableViewCell" owner:self options:nil];
cell = (ContestQATableViewCell *)[myNib lastObject];
}
cell.textLabel.text = [mainArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
if([[testArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] isEqualToString:#"Unchecked"])
[cell.answer1 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioUnChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
else
[cell.answer1 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
cell.answer1.tag = indexPath.row;
[cell.answer1 addTarget:self action:#selector(buttonClicked:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
[cell.contentView addSubview:cell.answer1];
return cell;
[cell.answer1 addTarget:self action:#selector(buttonsClicked:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
[cell.answer2 addTarget:self action:#selector(buttonsClicked:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
[cell.answer3 addTarget:self action:#selector(buttonsClicked:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
[cell.answer4 addTarget:self action:#selector(buttonsClicked:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
return cell;
}
and here is my add target method
-(void)buttonsClicked:(id)sender
{
UIButton *btn=(UIButton *)sender;
ContestQATableViewCell * cell=(ContestQATableViewCell *) [btn.superview superview];
if (cell.answer1.tag==btn.tag)
{
[cell.answer1 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}else{
[cell.answer1 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioUnChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}
if (cell.answer2.tag==btn.tag)
{
[cell.answer2 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}else{
[cell.answer2 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioUnChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}
if (cell.answer3.tag==btn.tag)
{
[cell.answer3 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}else{
[cell.answer3 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioUnChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}
if (cell.answer4.tag==btn.tag)
{
[cell.answer4 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}else{
[cell.answer4 setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioUnChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
}
}
For Check-Uncheck functionality only buttonClicked: method is not enough. You will have also put the condition in cellForRowAtIndexPath: method for which button is selected or which in unselected because cellForRowAtIndexPath: method will call each time when you will scroll your UITableView and cells will be refresh.
for example
I explain in step by step
Step-1
Create the two arrays one for gloabally another one for checking purpose
#interface ViewController : UIViewController<UITableViewDelegate, UITableViewDataSource>
{
NSMutableArray *arrayforCheckUnchek; // handle which button is selected or which is unselected
NSMutableArray *originalArray; // original Array
}
Step-2
allocating the memory for arrays
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
[super viewDidLoad];
arrayforCheckUnchek = [[NSMutableArray alloc]init];
originalArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc]initWithObjects:#"cell1",#"cell2",#"cell3",#"cell4",#"cell5", nil];
// setting all cell initilayy at un check
for(int i=0; i<[originalArray count]; i++)
{
[arrayforCheckUnchek addObject:#"Unchecked"];
}
}
Step-2
setup your datasource Methods
-(NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section{
return [originalArray count];
}
-(UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *Identifier = #"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:Identifier];
if(cell == nil)
{
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
}
cell.textLabel.text = [originalArray objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
UIButton *radiobutton = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
[radiobutton setFrame:CGRectMake(270.0, 7.0, 30.0, 30.0)]; // customize the frames
if([[arrayforCheckUnchek objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] isEqualToString:#"Unchecked"])
[radiobutton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioUnChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
else
[radiobutton setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
radiobutton.tag = indexPath.row;
[radiobutton addTarget:self action:#selector(buttonClicked:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
[cell.contentView addSubview:radiobutton];
return cell;
}
Step-3
here selected button index you can change the image
-(void)buttonClicked:(UIButton *)sender
{
//Getting the indexPath of cell of clicked button
CGPoint touchPoint = [sender convertPoint:CGPointZero toView:yourtableviewname];
NSIndexPath *indexPath = [yourtableviewname indexPathForRowAtPoint:touchPoint];
//Checking the condition button is checked or unchecked.
if([[arrayforCheckUnchek objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] isEqualToString:#"Unchecked"])
{
[sender setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[arrayforCheckUnchek replaceObjectAtIndex:indexPath.row withObject:#"Checked"];
}
else
{
[sender setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"RadioUnChecked"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[arrayforCheckUnchek replaceObjectAtIndex:indexPath.row withObject:#"Unchecked"];
}
}

iOS Custom Cell - Reuse identifier

I am trying to create a custom cell with favorite button on it. Its working fine but I think reuse identifier is creating problem here. I have tried it in two ways and it is working fine in both.
Here is my first try:
When I am selecting the button, it is changing to yellow button and vice -versa. But after scrolling up or down,it is changing to its normal state again. Why?
-(UITableViewCell*)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
NSString *CI=#"CELL";
UITableViewCell *cell=[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CI];
if(!cell) {
cell=[[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CI];
}
favbtn=[[UIButton alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(160, 10, 30, 35)];
[cell.contentView addSubview:favbtn];
[favbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"starr.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[favbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(fav:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
cell.textLabel.text=[favdata objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
return cell;
}
-(void)fav:(id)sender
{
if ([sender isSelected]) {
[sender setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"starr.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[sender setSelected:NO];
} else {
[sender setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"star.png"] forState:UIControlStateSelected];
[sender setSelected:YES];
}
}
Here is my second try:
Here every sixth cell is showing the same state.
-(UITableViewCell*)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
NSString *CI=#"CELL";
UITableViewCell *cell=[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CI];
if(!cell) {
cell=[[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CI];
favbtn=[[UIButton alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(160, 10, 30, 35)];
[cell.contentView addSubview:favbtn];
[favbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"starr.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[favbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(fav:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
cell.textLabel.text=[favdata objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
}
return cell;
}
First of all modify this methods:
-(UITableViewCell*)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
NSString *CI=#"CELL";
UIButton * favbtn;
UITableViewCell *cell=[tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CI];
if(!cell)
{
cell=[[UITableViewCell alloc]initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CI];
favbtn=[[UIButton alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(160, 10, 30, 35)];
[cell.contentView addSubview:favbtn];
[favbtn setTag:11221133];
}
favbtn = [cell.contentView viewWithTag:11221133];
[favbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"starr.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[favbtn setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"starr.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[favbtn setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"star.png"] forState: UIControlStateSelected];
//Check selections here and if this index is selected make btn selected.
[favbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(fav:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
cell.textLabel.text=[favdata objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
cell.contentView.tag = indexPath.row;
return cell;
}
-(void)fav:(id)sender
{
UIButton * btn = (UIButton *)sender;
btn.selected = !btn.selected;
int index = [[btn superview] tag]; // use this index for storing selections
}
Then make a array for storing selections. Compare this selection in cellForRowAtIndexPath and make btn selected or not selected.
Hope this will help you.....
You need to understand the way the cell is being reused. When your cell is scrolled out of the screen, it will be reused for the cell that is entering the screen. Table view will keep calling the method cellForRowAtIndexPath every time they want to render the cell. In your code, you init a new favbtn all the time, so even if the cell already contains it and being reused, you will keep on adding more buttons into it. Here's my suggestions:
Create your own subclass of UITableViewCell. Let's say FavoriteCell. Put all your code to add the favorite button inside your subclass.
In ViewDidLoad register your cell with your table view. Something like this: [self.tableView registerClass:...] or [self.tableView registerNib:...] depending on if you have a nib file for your cell or not.
In cellForRowAtIndexPath, dequeue your cell as usual but you don't have to check if it's nil or not, and you don't have to create the favorite button since you already put it inside your subclass.
Just remember that, the method cellForRowAtIndexPath will be called all the time so your logic of inserting favorite button has to be done properly. Make sure that you only insert it once and update its property properly.

UIButton of UITableViewCell disappear on scroll

I Have a problem with my custom UItableViewCell. It's seems that all UIButton of UITableViewCell disappear on scroll. Specilay on my 25 cell. Any one have any idea ?
any help would be appreciated :)
That some code :
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath{
static NSString* cellIdentifier = #"Cell";
Cell * __strong cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:cellIdentifier];
if (!cell){
cell = [[Cell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:cellIdentifier];
}
InfoObject __weak *obj = [_pos objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
[cell configCell];
cell.id = obj.id;
{// EVENT ON BUTTON
[cell.checkbox addTarget:self action:#selector(checkup:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
[cell.btnPaymentState addTarget:self action:#selector(changePaymentState:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
}
{// SET BUTTON CHECKBOX
cell.checkbox.tag = indexPath.row;
[cell.checkbox setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:IMG_BLACK_UNCHECKBOX] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[cell.checkbox setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:IMG_BLACK_CHECKBOX] forState:UIControlStateSelected];
[cell.checkbox setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:IMG_BLACK_CHECKBOX] forState:UIControlStateHighlighted];
}
{// SET BUTTON PAYMENT STATE
cell.btnPaymentState.tag = indexPath.row;
[cell.btnPaymentState setImage:[self getImageAssociateWithName:obj.stringPaymentState] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[cell.btnPaymentState setImage:[self getImageAssociateWithName:obj.stringPaymentState] forState:UIControlStateSelected];
[cell.btnPaymentState setImage:[self getImageAssociateWithName:obj.stringPaymentState] forState:UIControlStateHighlighted];
}
[self SetSelectedBackgroundColorSelectedForFolderCellAtRow:indexPath.row
:obj.selected Cell: cell];
[cell.checkbox setSelected:obj.selected];
[self setCellColorTextOfObjectPrepare:cell withObj:obj];
return cell;
}
I solve my problem. The problem is that i was using Tag for my UIButton and the identifier was the same number tag of another UIView so when i was removing my UIView the UIButton disappear also. Thanks all for your answer.
Remove if (!cell)
And you're good to go.

actions of the buttons of the cells

i am working with the tableview in which i added 2 buttons on one cell. Below is the code which i used
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
}
cell.backgroundView =[[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[ [UIImage imageNamed:#"list-bg.png"] stretchableImageWithLeftCapWidth:0.0 topCapHeight:5.0] ];
tickbtn = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
tickbtn.tag = 200+indexPath.row;
[tickbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[tickbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(addshed:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
tickbtn.frame = CGRectMake(220, 10, 30, 30);
[cell.contentView addSubview:tickbtn];
NSLog(#"tickbtn tag %ld",(long)tickbtn.tag);
crossbtn = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
crossbtn.tag = 400+indexPath.row;
[crossbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"delete-gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[crossbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(removeshed:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
crossbtn.frame = CGRectMake(250, 10, 30, 30);
[cell.contentView addSubview:crossbtn];
NSLog(#"tickbtn tag %ld",(long)crossbtn.tag);
return cell;
}
on the tickbtn and crossbtn i am applying following actions :-
-(IBAction)addshed:(UIControl *)sender
{
NSIndexPath *indexPath = [NSIndexPath indexPathForRow:sender.tag-200 inSection:0];
UITableViewCell *cell = (UITableViewCell*)[list_table cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];
UIButton *check1 = (UIButton*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:indexPath.row+200];
UIButton *check2 = (UIButton*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:indexPath.row+400];
UIImageView *btnimg1 = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:check1.currentBackgroundImage];
//UIImageView *btnimg2 = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:check2.currentBackgroundImage];
NSLog(#"SHED LIST subviews: %#", btnimg1.image);
// Shed_data *sheddata = [[Shed_data alloc] init];
if (btnimg1.image == [UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_gray.png"]) {
//btnimg.image = [UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_gray.png"];
[check1 setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_green.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[check2 setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"delete-gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[self addsheddata:sender];
NSLog(#"tickbtn tag %ld",(long)tickbtn.tag);
}
else if (btnimg1.image == [UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_green.png"])
{
[check2 setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"delete-red.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[check1 setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[self removesheddata:sender];
}
}
-(IBAction)removeshed:(UIControl*)sender
{
//.…………………….. My functionality
}
but in both these cases i am getting the tag value of last cell only whenever i am pressing the buttons of the cell.
Please locate my error and help me out to solve it. Your help will be much appreciable.
Try this one as working fine for me. I Just tested with my Xcode 5.
Modification :
1. I Create an NSMutableArray with the name of _objects (_objects = [[NSMutableArray alloc]initWithObjects:#"one",#"two",#"thre", nil];). and give it to my UITableView.
2.Give the tickBtn and crossBtn an different color so easily visible.
3.change the button pressed function to UIControl to UIButton like -(IBAction)addshed:(UIButton *)sender and when button pressed i catch the tag value and print it out on the console.
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:#"Cell" forIndexPath:indexPath];
cell.textLabel.text = [_objects objectAtIndex:indexPath.row];
cell.backgroundView =[[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[ [UIImage imageNamed:#"list-bg.png"] stretchableImageWithLeftCapWidth:0.0 topCapHeight:5.0] ];
tickbtn = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
tickbtn.tag = 200+indexPath.row;
[tickbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[tickbtn setBackgroundColor:[UIColor blackColor]];
[tickbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(addshed:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
tickbtn.frame = CGRectMake(220, 10, 30, 30);
[cell.contentView addSubview:tickbtn];
NSLog(#"tickbtn tag %ld",(long)tickbtn.tag);
crossbtn = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
crossbtn.tag = 400+indexPath.row;
[crossbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"delete-gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[crossbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(removeshed:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
crossbtn.frame = CGRectMake(250, 10, 30, 30);
[crossbtn setBackgroundColor:[UIColor greenColor]];
[cell.contentView addSubview:crossbtn];
NSLog(#"tickbtn tag %ld",(long)crossbtn.tag);
return cell;
}
-(IBAction)addshed:(UIButton *)sender {
NSLog(#"add shed %d",sender.tag);
}
-(IBAction)removeshed:(UIButton *)sender {
NSLog(#"remove %d",sender.tag);
}
NEW QUESTION UPDATE
Did you try with 10 or more cells and try with some continuous scroll?
And the result is
As the Another Answer says
[cell addSubview:crossbtn];// -------- Change here ---------
Let me clear this as i know about it.
The contentView is a subview of UITableViewCell. please review this reference and here you can see there are actually 3 subviews in a UITableViewCell.
You need to add your button to cell subview not cell's contentview subview. So use this code....
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
static NSString *CellIdentifier = #"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
}
cell.backgroundView =[[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[ [UIImage imageNamed:#"list-bg.png"] stretchableImageWithLeftCapWidth:0.0 topCapHeight:5.0] ];
tickbtn = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
tickbtn.tag = 200+indexPath.row;
[tickbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"ok_gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[tickbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(addshed:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
tickbtn.frame = CGRectMake(220, 10, 30, 30);
[cell addSubview:tickbtn];// -------- Change here ---------
NSLog(#"tickbtn tag %ld",(long)tickbtn.tag);
crossbtn = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
crossbtn.tag = 400+indexPath.row;
[crossbtn setBackgroundImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"delete-gray.png"]forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[crossbtn addTarget:self action:#selector(removeshed:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside];
crossbtn.frame = CGRectMake(250, 10, 30, 30);
[cell addSubview:crossbtn];// -------- Change here ---------
NSLog(#"tickbtn tag %ld",(long)crossbtn.tag);
return cell;
}
Your code seems fine for cellForRowAtIndexpath:. Error might be in getting the tag value at button click. Try to change with this code:-
-(IBAction)addshed:(UIControl *)sender
{
//.…………………….. My functionality
int selectedRow1 = ((UIControl *)sender).tag;
NSLog(#"No. %d", selectedRow1);
}
I have seen issue. It may be lead to this type of error.
Why do you add subviews again and again to your cell's content view.?
That is, for every cellForRowAtIndexpath: call, button will be add to cell. In case dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:, your last cell may reuse to any other cell while scroll. It will lead to your error. that is your cell will contain two button.(tag with last cell and tag with your current cell).
In this line [cell.contentView addSubview:tickbtn];, you have to do some change according to add once and also for crossbtn.
Updation: I have seen your updated question. My suggestion, better use custom cell. Use this link to how to create custom cell.. Lot of confusion in your code. ex. in this line UITableViewCell *cell = (UITableViewCell*)[list_table cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath];, It will give unexpected. Don't call delegate method like this.

How to enable/disable in each row of UITableview iOS

I need to disable/enable uibutton in each row of UItableview, I compare 2 NSMutablearray to enable/disable it.I tried below code but it always enable button in first row. Where's mistake in my code?
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath
{
NSString *simpleTableIdentifier = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"%d,%d",indexPath.section,indexPath.row];
UITableViewCell *cell= [_tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:simpleTableIdentifier];
UIButton *pausebtn= [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
if (cell == nil)
{
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:simpleTableIdentifier] autorelease];
[pausebtn setFrame:CGRectMake(285, 10, 30,30)];
[pausebtn setTag:4000];
[pausebtn setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"Pause.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
[pausebtn addTarget:self action:#selector(pausebtnClicked:event:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchDown];
[cell.contentView addSubview:pausebtn];
}
pausebtn = (UIButton*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:4000];
[pausebtn addTarget:self action:#selector(pausebtnClicked:event:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchDown];
[pausebtn setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"Pause.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal];
//check 2 arrays
if ([[Array1 objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] integerValue] != [[Array2 objectAtIndex:indexPath.row] integerValue])
{
pausebtn.enabled = YES;
}
else{
pausebtn.enabled = NO;
}
return cell;
}
Thanks for your help.
Declare your UIButton before checking if cell is nil and creating it.
Create UIButton only if cell is nill
If cell already exists, get it by tag.
UIButton *pausebtn;
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:simpleTableIdentifier] autorelease];
pausebtn= [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom];
.....
}
pausebtn = (UIButton*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:4000];
.....
