I would like to make make userregistartion app in Blackberry. In which I have used ksoap2 to send request to server and get response from server.
I want that when I send request to server and within 10 second if server not give any response than say any msg like "Try again". and before 10sec server give response then proceed further.
How's this possible? Is there used TimerTask or any method for Tomeout in Ksoap?

I'd like the following functionality with Twilio/Node: either
my server receives incoming call and the call rings on our custom client; at some point during the call (ideally can work before answering or after answering) or if no one answers on the client, the call is transferred to a webhook on a different server (my CRM provider) so the CRM can deal with it. OR
same as above, but the incoming call posts the incoming call request to both my server & my CRM webhook for the incoming call; I think this might not be possible though, not sure
I'm able to receive a Twilio call on my server without problem, and able to receive Twilio calls in my CRM without problem. However, when I tried to forward a call to the CRM after first receiving it on my custom server/client, it seems to always disconnect abrubtly. Pls help!
The code I'm using to update the call is below. The url works normally if sending the call directly to the CRM webhook. The CallSid is from my custom client from the incoming call

Think I figured out the proper way to do this. Should be using an "action" with "dial" and then checking "DialCallStatus" in the action endpoint and dealing with various statuses as appropriate. Sample code:

I have setup a webhook and everything is working properly, however iam used to using a long number where STOP is handled automatically, but now I have a short code where we have to handle STOP ourselves. This isnt an issue on sending a message as I can check with my 'blacklist' numbers before sending the message. My question is in the Reply webhook, what is the best way or standard way to NOT send the reply message.
Below is twilios sample code (i added the comment where i would check if they are black listed)

If the number is blacklisted and i dont want to send the reply how do I "gracefully" not reply to them as this example takes a TwiMLResult and message response. Do i just set the message to an empty string ? do I return null? Any thoughts ? Thank you !
I want to use twilio to test our internal phone system, and make sure calls are routing as they should, since our provider is notoriously bad of notifying us to problems.
I'm can initiate a call from twilio, use the "gather" verb to record speech (to ensure we hit the right queue) and then hang up. Everything works fine. Except that the gather ends up taking over 2 minutes to listen to the whole message from our phone system, charging us for 8 15 second gather chunks. I only need the first 15 seconds, but can't figure out how to hangup sooner. Is there a simple way to limit calls to a specific time?
timeLimit, and timeout both don't apply here, since timeLimit only works inside of a dial verb, and timeout only works for pauses in speech during the gather.
Perhaps just set a timer in your code for 15 seconds or so and then use the POST endpoint at /2010-04-01/Accounts/{AccountSid}/Calls/{CallSid} to cancel the call (using the Status=Completed parameter in order to cancel calls even if they are in progress).
If you use their Ruby SDK, and you make a normal call (not a conference call) then you can use the update method:

Updating the status to completed should hangup the call if in-progress.
Updating the status to canceled should hangup the call if ringing/queued.
If you know for sure that the call is in-progress and you know the call sid, then you can use:

i am in the process of writing a c# mvc.net application and need to know if i can end twilio client calls after a certain amount of time and also play recording during the call when the call has reached a certain time limit or a recording the says "This call will end in 30 seconds". any help is good help.
You'll have to do a little work to make this work as duration is an empty value until after the call terminates. Instead, use the StartTime parameter on a call and calculate the duration manually in your application.
After implementing that you can modify the call using the <Play> verb to play a recording during the call with your warning message and <Hangup> the call once it reached the specified time.

Overview:
I am working on a VB.NET application that places a call into Twilio, the number is not a test number. I am using the C# library with the code written in VB.Net.
When I use this line of code:

I receive a text message on my phone however the post back is never posted to my website. I have included the URL of the site on the account under Messaging > Request URL.
When I reply to the message, Twilio does make a post to my site. From what I understand, a POST should have been made when Twilio was first sent a message from my application, however this is not the case.
When using this code, I do not get any text message and no POST is made.

I have tried SendSMSMessage, I have tried it with the URL on my account and without it,
nothing seems to effect the behavior.
I need the SmsMessageSid at the time the message is sent. From everything I have seen, Twilio does not provide a response other then what is sent to the PostBackURL, I could parse a response for the
SmsMessageSid however since there is no response that is not an option. If I am mistaken on that point that would be great, however it looks like the only way to get a reply is with the post back URL. Thanks for your help with this! Below you will find an excerpt of the code I am working with:

I'm doing something similar with C# and like you, I'm not getting the POST to the callback URL. I don't know why that's not working, but if all you need is the sid when you send the message, you should be able to do this:
message = SendSmsMessage(Caller, to1, strBody))
and message.Sid will give you what you need, assuming no exceptions.
