to get xauth privileges what we have to send in email to api#twitter.com ?after how many days we will get that?
This is taken from this site: http://aralbalkan.com/3133 . In the Usage:Overview section.
"Make sure that you include the App ID of your app in your support ticket. The App ID is the number at the end of the URL on your app's Twitter page (e.g., http://twitter.com/oauth_clients/details/your_app_id)"
I've been having issues with a guy over there. He wants to see screenshots of my app and he wants to know what i'm using it for. I made a quick login screen took a pic and sent it. I told him that's all I had. No luck so far. I told him I'm not going to try to make an entire app without being able to connect to Twitter.

Since few days I have problems with the API instagram. Instagram sending this error page after the user has entered this login information.
"This page could not be loaded. If you have cookies disabled in your browser, or you are browsing in private mode"
Do you know why ? How to do ? Need help
On webapp authentication... the problem is related to instagram platform. I found that the problem arise only if your browser don't have the instagram cookie "ig_cb" set. This is set when you accept cookie policy on instagram.com. The workaround is to go on instagram and accept cookie policy then go back to your social auth and proceed.
This happens for both mobile and desktop users (browser).
Being a block on instagram login process... I guess there's no definitive solution other than wait for instagram bug fix.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we also had this problem, which flagged on the Facebook Dev page: https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/406930029718049/
They have looked into the problem, as a number of us have had this exact issue too. It is only affecting EU user, as our US users are logging in and signing up without problems, and it seems that Facebook are refusing to look into it - their Instagram Platform API forum has already stopped accepting issues.
In terms of what we have learnt since last week, we think:
It is likely GDPR related
Not all apps have been affected, Bumble does not have this problem but Tinder does
It is happening with both the old Platform API and Graph API, according to a developer who has already migrated to Graph.
No one seems to know anything!
UPDATE:
So it seem's it is in fact a cookie issue on mobile. When a user goes to sign in on mobile view, the 'accept cookie' message that typically appears on web doesn't appear. However, when the error screen pops up, if you click 'Log in' in the top right, it will redirect you to the web view, which lets you accept the new terms and conditions. Then, once you direct back to mobile the cookie seems to have been saved and you can now login. This has worked for us on iOS so far, but not Android, and we still haven't come up with a work-around yet.
This bug has now been fixed.
Thank you all for your comments, individual input, and patience while we worked to address this issue for everyone.
I am happy to report that this particular issue with Instagram login should now be resolved, but if you are still seeing any issues related to this fix, please let us know on this report only.
I have registered my application here.
I have given all permissions to my App in that panel as well.
I specifically need Groups.ReadWrite.All which requires an admin ? requirement I am not sure what this even means.
https://apps.dev.microsoft.com/#/application/
Okay App is registered and redirect url has been copied.
Now I take that redirect url copy it and paste it into the admin panel for apps. At this link at App Registrations
https://portal.azure.com/
I am not sure why I have to register in two different panels, one which gives me a redirect url for my native app and the other that leaves it blank.
Great So then I setup my iOS app to make a graph request. This scope
https://graph.microsoft.com/Calendars.ReadWrite
I need to readwrite groups so I add this permission
https://graph.microsoft.com/Group.ReadWrite.All
It fails to authenticate.
I have checked that I have added the permissions to my app, and I have at this app registration panel https://apps.dev.microsoft.com/#/application/
Then I try to add the same permissions in the
https://portal.azure.com/
it gives me
Unable to Complete Request Validation Error, then doesn't do anything.
I tried to add a non admin permission same error.
So what is going on here ... ?
So even though they told me use the Graph API from now on moving forward in the docs I tried to go back to their office 365 SDK for iOS, it also has problems as I cannot get the pods to work as per instructions.
I am 100% sure after this issue is resolved I will need permissions
Note: I work at as a consultant for a bank so if someone can tell me what the azure administrator at the bank has to do to get my permissions escalated to admin status that would be great....
Thanks
Those are 2 different registrations,
Per this documentation (https://graph.microsoft.io/en-us/docs/authorization/auth_overview), for personal accounts like live.com or outlook.com, use the Azure AD v2.0, and for the enterprise, use the Azure AD.
So, for your case, I believe you need the latter, the azure AD.
For this to happen, as you said, go https://portal.azure.com/ and add the app registration.
In order to do so, you would need to
select "Azure Active Directory" and go "App registrations".
Once you create an app, you would need to select "native" for the iOS, and then under app access, under "required permissions" add "Microsoft Graph" followed by selected permissions you would like.
To answer the note, you would need permissions to create an app at the portal, otherwise, you would need to ask for that permission or have the admin create an app for you.
Some samples are available at https://github.com/microsoftgraph/ios-objectivec-connect-sample and https://github.com/microsoftgraph/ios-swift-connect-sample for iOS samples.
Hope this helps!
I'm new to the site and new to developing so I'm looking for some general advice here.
I'm looking to build and app which works along side Instagram. So this is what I want to be able to do to start with.
User opens app and can submit an already posted (and held on Instagram) photo to the app. The user at this point will need to be asked to log into their Instagram account. So for example they would select submit and it will open a window asking them to log into Instagram and then it will display all their available photos which they have posted.
User selects the post they wish to submit to the app.
Image displays on app in a gallery of submitted posts by all the other users for people to see.
Thats the basic premise. It's actually a lot more involved than that but I am learning and trying to keep it simple at the moment.
What I would like to know is. Is this possible, are there any guides which exist on how to do this.
What sort of process will I be looking at here. I've tried looking for posts on Instagram integration etc but I can't find anything similar to this.
Thanks in advance any help or pointers on where to even start will be helpful.

Stpes to integrate instagram:
1)https://www.instagram.com/developer/
You would have to create an application on the instagram developer portal, get a client ID for performing OAuth flow.
2)Ask your users to login to the instagram app and get the auth_token from instagram API.
3) Use the auth_token in all your requests basically.
4) Download code from here: https://www.sendspace.com/file/mnuqck
and replace your clientid in my code. you will get response in code.
These libraries should help you get started,
https://github.com/shyambhat/InstagramKit
https://github.com/crino/instagram-ios-sdk
You would have to create an application on the instagram developer
portal, get a client ID for performing OAuth flow.
Ask your users to login to the instagram app and get the auth_token
from instagram API.
Use the auth_token in all your requests basically.
The whole flow would have been implemented for you in the libraries I mentioned.
Say for example if you are using InstagramKit and after integrating/authorisation by the user getting images from the users feed would be as simple as below,
InstagramEngine *engine = [InstagramEngine sharedEngine];
[engine getSelfFeedWithSuccess:^(NSArray *media, InstagramPaginationInfo *paginationInfo) {
// media is an array of InstagramMedia objects
...
} failure:^(NSError *error, NSInteger statusCode) {
...
}];
Steps to get InstagramKit up an running,
Download the InstagramKit from github.
Make sure you have cocoapods installed on your mac, refer
https://cocoapods.org/ for help.
Open the InstagramKit-Example on terminal and run the following
command,
pod install
Wait for the pod to finish its magic.
Now you should have InstagramKit-Example.xcworkspace created in the InstagramKit-Example, open it and run.
I just did it now,
I need to use Twitter Oauth to login my windows phone app,
What i need exactly is
1)when the user click twitter log in button from my app, i need to show the twitter llog in page in a browser,
2)when he enters his credentials and accept the app, then i should get the user information like, name, gender, bday, what ever i can take.
That,s it, then i can close the browser and make my app active.
I just need to make the user to log in via twitter.
I referred lot of examples, that are all quit confusing and doing all the stuffs in twiiter.
I tried this example
and got this error
'TweetSharp.TwitterService' does not contain a definition fError 2 'TweetSharp.TwitterService' does not contain a definition for 'GetAccessToken' and no extension method 'GetAccessToken' accepting a first argument of type 'TweetSharp.TwitterService' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
and i tried enter link description here
failed on that too.
Can anybody help me to do the authentication via twitter for my app.
Thank you.
I tried this example and got success, I contacted the person who have posted that example and got help from him to solve the issues raised from this example.
Actually this Example works fine for twitter integration,
What you have to do is
1)Register your app in twitter, here the link for app registration,
log in and register your app.
2)Make sure you have given the Call Back URL(i forget to give that, and that makes me face lot of issues)
3)Note down the Consumer Key, Consumer Secret and Call back url(we need specify this 3 in our code)
4)Go to Settings, and set your app access to Read and Write
5)down load the above link and change the Consumer Key, Consumer Secret and Call back url as per your app, and then run the example, it will work fine.
Thank you.
If you just want to authenticate using Twitter and don't want to post anything, perhaps you can try Azure Mobile Service Authentication. You can find more information here: mobile services authentication
I have set my application permissions as "read, Write, Direct Messages" as shown in the figure
I have saved these settings.
But when i authenticate my app. it shows that my application will not be able to access direct messages. As shown in the figure
Please help me, i am stuck with this problem from many days.
I am using abraham oauthtwitter api
from here https://github.com/abraham/twitteroauth
You need to call Authorize Url. This issue can apear if you call "Authenticate Url".
if you have changed your settings you'll need to regenerate the keys
