how to set a fields from a url sharepoint 2010 - url

I have a list called Case,in the Case form i have the folowing hyper link
http://appserver/Lists/Hearings/Item/newifs.aspx?List=928323ea%2Deace%2D4220%2D845c%2D84871b4f00a8&=&Case_x0020_Number=100000
if you can see at the end of the url I have the item Case Number, what I want is to make the Hearing add new form to have the value of 10000 at the Case Number
so the user don't need to re-enter the value.
but when I click that link it open the new form thing but the field corresponding to that value is blank.
Note : from the share point it self the Case Number of the Hearing is lookup from the Case Number.
is there away to accomplish this?

You say
but when I click that link it open the new form thing but the field corresponding to that value is blank.
This happens when you click the hyperlink directly from the list view?
If you want your "Case number" field to populate dynamically you should create a calculated column, and use a formula to take the current "Case number" for the selected item. After that you can create a Hyperlink in InfoPath and navigate from the item's edit screen...
The formula for the calculated column should be something like this:
=("LocationToNavigate?queryStringParameter="&ListFiedName)

Google Sheets: Add URL from one column and wrap it in text (automatically)

I have a column of URLs that is created automatically when a Google Form is submitted using the "Add Form Edit Response URLs" script. What I would like to do is copy that link to another sheet and wrap it in text. Like this [EDIT] , but automatically with every link in the column. I know I can do it with =HYPERLINK("https://urllink", "Edit"), but I want it to happen automatically down the entire column as new entries are added.
Thanks!
I figured it out: =ArrayFormula(IF(N2:N="","",(hyperlink(N2:N,"EDIT"))))

How to load contact field token in email template based on condition

I want to show the contact first name in the e-mail, but if the first name field is empty I want to show some other field. Is this possible?
Something like this:
Hi {contactfield=firstname} or if empty {contactfield=email}
Thank you in advance.
Yes it is possible, you can use "Dynamic Content" option available in slot type. it allows you to use variations in the content based on value of the the field.
simply add the slot, then put in a default value, click Add Variant and at the bottom right you can choose the field and comparison option.

How to create dynamic hyperlink using Field Codes in MS-Word?

I am trying to add a hyperlink to a field code in MS-Word, but I want the same field code to populate as part of a search query in the url. More relevant info below:
For Instance, this field code is linked to a form and will populate with a tracking number pulled from an inventory database «TrackingNumber», but then I want to link this generated tracking number into a url query is as follows:
HYPERLINK "https://www.google.com/searchq=«TrackingNumber»"
Is this even possible? And if so, how should I configure?
By default, if you insert a mailmerge field into a hyperlink field, the hyperlinks will all show the first record’s address as the 'Text to display' text, even though the hyperlinks will actually point to the merged targets.
Here's how you can do get a mailmerge to display your preferred default 'Text to display' text instead:
Disregarding mergefield issues for the moment, insert a hyperlink into the document in the normal way, choosing whatever 'Click Here' text you want in the 'Text to display' box.
Select the inserted hyperlink and press Shift-F9 to expose its field code.
Replace everything in the field between '=' and '"' with your «TrackingNumber» mergefield.
Select the field and press F9 to update the display.
In Word 2007 & later, you can make the display text variable also, by following these additional steps:
Position the cursor anywhere within the display text.
Insert a mergefield pointing to whatever data field you want to use for the display text (this could even be the «TrackingNumber» mergefield).
Delete all of the previous display text either side of your last-inserted mergefield (note that this field will likely have updated already).
Execute the merge.
After merging to a new document, use Ctrl-A, F9 to update all fields. Without this, the mergefield hover text won’t update to the correct targets.
Note 1: The above is only for merged output sent to a new document; it does not work with merges to email or print. For merges to email, see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/912679
Note 2: Hyperlink fields modified this way are liable to cease functioning once the merge has been executed. Accordingly, it's best to save mailmerge main document before doing the merge and not re-save it afterwards. If you need to make changes to the mailmerge main document, don't make/save them after doing a merge; make/save them beforehand.

Joomla 3 menu item URL appened

Joomla version 3 menu item has a field called "Note" which is primarily used to display notes in the administrator backend.
I have populated "note" field with something like "&City=4&County=0" Now I want to append this in front of the Link URL. Link URL is none editable field which is automatically populated based on article selected so I cannot edit or type in it manually.
Normal URL based upon selection of the article looks like something this:
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10
Now I want to append the note field in front of this URL so the URL would look like:
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10&City=4&County=0
Here is the screenshot:
(source: linkbank.co.uk)
You could make a new view, just copy components/com_content/views/article to cityarticle or something meaningful, then edit the default.xml you find in its subfolder ./tmpl, change the name so you can identify it and add the fields city and county to the
on line 16 roughly, those will appear when you create a new menu item (on the right) so you can set them, and will be passed on as get requests.
Choose the appropriate field type and read the docs here:

Creating and editing my element instead of using `new`

So, basically my 'index' action is a long list of elements output as a table with Rails, each one has a checkbox next to it. These elements are items in a catalog that will be line-items in a quote.
A user can select as many checkboxes as they like, then click a button that says "Create a new Quote" it'll take the items they checked and clone them into a new table so they can edit them as apart of the quote.
The issue I'm having is that when the list is really long, say 6000 records it’s a n awfully long list to load, so I want pagination, BUT! then my checkboxes won’t work, because they will go away if the user changes pages.
Additionally the user has no way of going back to this page to "add" more items to the quote.
My first thought was to create a new element right when they browse to this "index page and essentially have the user editing the quote from the get go"
Any ideas on this implementation? I'm a little stuck on how to get started implementing this.
This is a classic shopping cart type problem. You might want to read up on implementing those in Rails with sessions. Simple example is to use the user's session. You can either create a class to encapsulate the logic, or just use a hash or array to hold the ids that are checked. So when the user clicks on "Start New Quote" you can set a var in their session to blank like:
session[:new_quote_items] = []
Then when they check off items you can have a link to add them to the quote. You can then place those ids into the array. On page display of the possible quote items you can show the user which ones are check and have then add/remove IDs from this list. Then when the user is done they can click on a finish link which will take the ids from the session and create the quote as you have now.
This question is similar to yours and covers your first problem. Pagination.
In addition to that, clever use of accepts_nested_attributes_for on the join model will allow you to simplify addition of elements to either existing or new quotes.
Sorry I've got no code for you right now, but here is the general idea:
Generate a list of QuoteItems that is is the union of the set of existing quote items for this quote, and quote items built for the current quote from items not part of the current quote.
Give that list to fields_for and set up each field_for region so that it passes the item_id as a hidden value and contain a checkboxes, such that they modify the :_delete field, with default value evaluating true, and checked value equating to false.
