IE Radio Button Alignment Issue - asp.net-mvc

I have an ASP.Net-MVC application that is mostly complete. However, I have one page that contains radio buttons. When that page is displayed in Firefox or Chrome, the radio buttons are displayed in a horizontal row (which is what I want). But when the page loads in IE, the radio buttons show up in a column. I am using the Html.RadioButton helper.
I have tried editing several of the css properties in the master stylesheet, but I have not been able to come up with a solution.
Have any of you encountered this before? If so, what could the solution be?

It would be handy #Jacob, if you could list what you have tried.
Have you tried the css display:inline?
Or have you tried putting them as <li>'s in a <ul> and then setting the display:inline on the ul or the li's?

I ended up just putting the radio buttons in a table row. It's not the most elegant solution, but it works all the time.

Is there a way to use JQM button styling outside of a Page or Header data-role?

I just started working with JQM a little while ago. I used the default VS2012 asp.net mobile project to start with. I like how the mobile pages work, but wanted a fixed area at the top of each page that essentially has 3 columns one of which is a logo. I've done that (with a basic table to start with) in the _layout.cshtml, and right below that is where I start the JQM Page layout. This is all working well, and I like how the page transitions happen while keeping a fixed header area at the top.
However, I would like to add a button to my fixed area at the top that is styled similar to the other JQM buttons. This doesn't work because the buttons are not within a valid Page or Header data-role I presume. Is there a way to take advantage of the JQM styles for HTML that is outside of those data-roles?
As an example, I'd like to use the anchor tag for a Log In button and have it styled the same as it is with a gear-icon when it's within a div that has data-role = "header". I'm not sure I have a deep enough understanding to drill down through all the elements that are used in the .css file and was hoping there are other individual classes or something I can take advantage of.
This is the line I am trying to display as a button, but I am only getting text (does work as anchor tag though):
<a data-role="button" data-transition="pop" href="/Vision/Account/Login">Log in</a>
Also, I am using jquery.mobile-1.1.0 and jquery-1.7.2.
You can style any element as a button by calling the jQuery Button Widget on the element:
$('.login-button').button();
The button function also accepts options such as the icon and theme:
$('.login-button').button({
icon: 'gear'
});
See also: http://jquerymobile.com/test/docs/buttons/buttons-options.html
Try adding data-role="button" to your anchor tag.

jQuery-UI Dialog: How to make NONE of the action buttons "default"

In jQuery-UI dialog box, the first button appears to be the default, therefore having focus set to itself.
But, this causes a frustrating effect, especially in Safari. Even in IE, you will see a rectangular selection mark around the button. Moreover, the hover effect will not be seen.
How can I set NONE of these buttons as default and therefore NOT having focus set on any of them?
Edit:
Examples can be seen at jqueryui demo pages and a snapshot using Safari is below.
I want to get rid of this blue selection.
I think it could be an css-class, that turns the button to "default".
Check with the Firebug Element Inspector what classes are applied to these buttons, and append the standard css class to all buttons of the form.

how to make only a part of screen scrollable

I've developed menu tabs in Tabs. jsp and included it in my Main.jsp . Now is it possible to make the Tabs not scroll in the jsp (i,e) the file that is included should not be scrolling down. How do i do this?
This has got nothing to do with Struts2, what you need is a floating menu which shouldnt scroll and should be fixed, there are multiple ways of doing it, one very simple but nice way can be found here

jQuery UI tabs: hidden elements are shown in IE7

The problem happens only in IE7:
When I go to the next tab some elements (text input fields, buttons) from the previous tab are not completely 'hidden' and shown on the next tab (just on top of it). Buttons disappear when I mouse over them, but text inputs stay there forever.
I am using jQuery 1.4 and JqueryUI 1.8
Has anyone seen that problem before?
Thanks
i faced the same problem before. My advice - begin with empty tabs, then add step-by-step all elements to their tab-containers. one of them is parsed incorrectly by ie.

SIFR, JAVASCRIPT & PHP - How to apply SIFR to dynamically loaded content

Well here's the problem:
I have a PHP index page which uses show/hide layers javascript. I am using the on menu.click function to show and hide content relevant to each menu. On.click all divs are hidden except the content for that menu item , which fades in. The content relating to each menu item are displayed within separate DIVS. The property is applied to all the text within all the divs.
See: http://jobe-group.com/jobeco/uk/2010live/dynamic/content/index.php#
The trouble is that SIFR only appears to be applied to the displayed on.load when the page is first loaded. When this is hidden and the other s shown through the "show" function they load in classic CSS fonts without the SIFR applied.
Is this unavoidable with the SIFR setup. Or am I not calling the divs properly. I have set the SIFR to apply to the selector and indeed it works fine on the for the displayed on load. It doesn't work for the within other . In theory I would think its possible to load the SIFR on all divs on page.load even if those divs are presently visibility:hidden.
What's the verdict on this?
Hope someone can help.
Cheers,
John
After you show the previously hidden div, execute the sIFR.replace calls again to replace the content in those elements.
