I think there is no way to set the lock screen wallpaper on the iPhone programmatically (with ref to this question), but with the 3.2 SDK and the ability to set the wallpaper on the home screen on the iPad, does the SDK allow this to be done via APIs now?
I looked up the developer reference, but i could not find anything useful.
I don't think there's a method for that. The user can change it in the settings. But if you could change it progmatically, I'm sure there would be a lot of people who would abuse it...

I was thinking about changing iPhone background using app. Is there some code in Swift to change iPhone background?
I donĀ“t mean change background of app. I mean change background totally of the iPhone.
There is no way to currently access the device's Wallpaper as of now.
Essentially Apple doesn't allow it, though jailbroken devices can access this functionality.
You also aren't allowed to set or change the wallpaper of the entire phone in third party apps. The user has to do that manually through the settings or photos app. You can add instructions as to how the user can do that in your app.
I was wondering if you can make the home screen visible through an app.
For example, let's take an example from the Apple Calculator. On macOS, the top is blurred and you can see everything through it.
I know iOS is a whole different OS and works through views and not tabs, but still: is it possible to e.g. blur the top of the iOS calculator and see the home screen through it?
Thanks, Ben
Unfortunately this is not possible, as this could be a serious breach of privacy for iPhone users.
If you could make the home screen visible through an app, a developer could technically save pictures of users' homescreens and store them in a remote database, which could give them access to private information. As a result, Apple doesn't allow you to do this.
iPhone 6/6 Plus have new feature named "Reachability" (Touch twice on TouchID to interact on the larger screen). But I don't find any API in iOS8 SDK documentation.Perhaps I have to wait for the next version of iOS SDK.
I think my App can do something interesting or make some surprise when Reachability active. So anyone has idea for it?
From my reading of the iOS 8.x SDK changes, it's not possible for an app to detect that the user has activated Reachability. I think that Apple want (and expect) that this feature will simply allow access to the top half of the screen, and handles the relocate of the base view completely transparently to the app. I can't point you to any specific documentation on this, as it's a case of the absence of proof being itself proof.
Oh, and I don't think Apple wants any apps doing anything "surprising" when Reachability is activated! ;-)
How can I get screen from work table and then use in my app. I want take this photo and apply blur for this photo and use it like background for my app. So I mean that I want it looks like in Siri
Unfortunately it isn't possible to get a screenshot of the home screen on iOS devices.
You may be able to do something with a jail token device but not on a standar ios device.
You can blur things easily, such as your views; but there is no official API for capturing the system's own Springboard background.
Is there a way to programmatically restrict camera access on iPhone 4S 5.0.1?
I am building a simple app with a button to enable/disable shooting with the camera.
I believe it should work in the similar way as the restrictions work in Settings app.
I am not going to deploy it, so I do not mind about Apple's approve.
Thanks!
there is no such a policy based programming like android in iphone to disable the camera. its possible only in rooted iphones.
I think the only option will be with MDM solutions
