Let's say I have something set to be dragged:
<div class="container">
<div id="draggable-1"></div>
<div id="draggable-3"></div>
<div id="draggable-4"></div>
<div id="draggable-5"></div>
</div>
Is it possible to set jqueryui's draggable api so I can drag multiple draggable elements at the same time?
Thanks.
this is a guess but try
set no style sheet on container so it is set as a group. then do this
$(function() {
$(".container").draggable();
});
then when you drag the entire container drags as a group including all elements inside.
here is a working example of what i did.
<html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">
#draggable-1,#draggable-2,#draggable-3,#draggable-4,#draggable-5 {
width:100px;
height:100px;
background:red;
margin-bottom:10px;
}
.container {
}
</style>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://jqueryui.com/latest/jquery-1.3.2.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://jqueryui.com/latest/ui/ui.core.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://jqueryui.com/latest/ui/ui.draggable.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(function() {
$(".container").draggable();
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="container">
<div id="draggable-1"></div>
<div id="draggable-3"></div>
<div id="draggable-4"></div>
<div id="draggable-5"></div>
</div>
</body>
</html>

Here I have link when the link is clicked tweet.html file will be called. But when I clicked the back button I will be directed to the previous page without any error. But second time onwards when I click the back button I will be directed to the previous page and comes to the current page again.
$("#mybtn").unbind();`
unbind event will prevent this
I have built a jQuery Mobile application, but I have one issue I don't understand.
I am using the multi-page functionality, but when you are in a page and you change the screen orientation, it jumps back to the start page. I do not understand how to stay on the current page when changing orientation.
I have tried this:
$(window).bind("orientationchange", function (e, ui)
{
var sPage ="#"+$.mobile.activePage.attr("id");
$.mobile.changePage(sPage);
alert(sPage);
});
The alert() showed the correct page where I want to stay.
Below is an example how is made the multipage. If i select the option 'Instellingen',
This pages showed. But when i change the smartphone orientation, it jumps back to the menu.

I had the exact same issue for months, until today I added the screenSize parameter to the android manifest, as follows:
android:configChanges="orientation|screenSize|keyboardHidden"
Hope that helps!
I would like to create some resizeable and draggable div tags contain textarea tags with jQueryUI.And I also want to use nicEdit to format text inside these textarea tags.But i can't combine them,maybe.I can't edit text if i use $(element).resizeable().draggable().Here is my code:

var myNicEditor = new nicEditor({iconsPath : 'nicEdit/nicEditorIcons.gif',buttonList :btnlist });
myNicEditor.setPanel('myNicEdit');
function ID()

}
$('#a').click(function(){

myNicEditor.addInstance(id);
jQuery('.d').draggable().resizable();//If i remove this line,it work ok.
});
});
</script>

Can anyone give some solutions for me!Thank a lot!

You need to add 'handle' option when you apply draggable, so that it doesn't highjack the onmousedown event on all the child elements.
The html below generates a google map. However, when I hover over the map, the cursor does not change from an arrow to a hand like the one in the jquery mobile example http://jquery-ui-map.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/demos/jquery-google-maps-mobile.html#basic_map. I am testing on Safari under the iPhone user agent.

What is the code missing and/or is Google-Maps-for-Rails mobile enabled?
Thanks!
Google-Maps-for-Rails is mobile enabled. The map that appears on mobile is an image and can't be dragged on a desktop safari browser.
Hey there, total javascript noob here. Just wondering, I've set up some buttons inside ul tags using jquery selectable, which change colour when I click on them. One problem though, how do I make one of them select on the load of the page?
Thanks!
