Does Google have a service that can make me able to access older satellite images using gmaps api for iOS?
Unfortunately, no. Looked around the community for a while and found a similar post that is pretty much asking for what you are aiming for. The selected answer has a link, which is also not a clear answer. I also tried the sample link (http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/?exp=earth#time_and_historical_imagery_ui) provided in the comments but it doesn't seem to be working anymore.
I also managed to find this open feature request on Historical Satellite imagery . You can support it if you want.

It's crazy i can't find any documentation on this subject. I found some old stackoverflow posts that references a pixel link like this

This is fine but I can't find any documentation about what other params i can put there.. I am interested in appending the gclid there but i am not even sure it will be read or if it needs to have another name..
Before you ask: We do not want to install any kind of 3rd party js. We want to be able to track only the signup conversion for our google ads campaing and as far as i understand it is possible with pixel, but i cannot find any documentation.

I am trying to get twitter feeds in to my shopify site. I want to get the feeds and style them as I want and thus cant use a app.
I know how to do it using PHP but can not use that code in shopify and looking for a way I can use OAuth in shopify and get the feeds. I tried the shopify docs but without an example its kinda hard to actually get my head around it.

I know you said you didn't want to use an app, but can I suggest taking a look at Twitify? You can use custom CSS to style your tweets. Also see discussions about Twitify here and here.
Twitter changed their display guidelines and policies on embedding of tweets on websites in June 2013. One of the themes I used for a client earlier in the year had custom styling of tweets, and they have now changed it to use the official Twitter widget to meet the new guidelines. In fact, the images on the Shopify theme store show how it used to look before Twitter changed things:

I think using an app like Twitify would be the easiest way to deal with these changes to embedding tweets.
Thanx for the suggestion. I did take a look at that before I posted this question. This is a project for a client and I dont think getting a plug in is a viable option. Anyways I found a work around.
Hosted the file on a server and then accessed it. So that resolved the problem. :)
I used node.js to write the script and get the posts as required.

you can use the app for that Twitify https://apps.shopify.com/twitify or you can Embed a Twitter feed in your online store
Go to your Twitter settings.
Click Widgets to open the widgets menu.
Create a new widget, following Twitter's instructions.
Copy the embed code.
I am using Google Places API to pull a list of resturants, and I am displaying them on map. However, since Apple has switched there map services over from Google in iOS 6.0, I am now in violation of Google's terms of use, which states that you must display Google data on a Google map.

I obviously need to change the map, because I am not going to release an application that is in violation. Any thoughts or suggestions on what to do? Should I go Google Maps with a web view? Does apple have some sort of Google Places API alternative?

Using Google Maps through a web view is a hassle, i'd like to find an alternative to that, although it would technically work.
I decided to use Google Maps JavaScript API. Although, it is a little more difficult to deal with, mainly the JavaScript through Objective-C, it is a solution. The map is displayed through a web view, and I use JavaScript to interact with the map.

I would try to directly contact Google, explaining the situation, and ask them for written permission to use Apple's maps. This is more a legal question than programming. One would think that Google is aware that you can no longer display their maps using Apple's API and that, even regardless of the map, they would want you to use their places, as doing so generates advertising revenue for them.
Agree with #Owen here - you could get permission to leave your app unchanged until some possible future date when you might have to change it, or could you definitely go to the effort of changing it now and then possibly have to change it again in the future for some other reason.
If you could get a 100% guarantee that you could change it once and never have to change it again then I'd say do it now, but nothing's certain.
I am developing a app that is going to use a map. I was wondering how to load all the POIs that already appear on the default Apple's map app?

There's at least no built in functionality in MapKit. You'll have to use Google's webservices to fetch those POIs (like Places API). You should have a look at the Google Places API Web Services!
I'm not sure why your question was voted down, I guess you need to do some self-research before posting any questions. A lot of times, similar questions have been asked. You just need to look.

Has anyone got any suggestions on where to start with building a google map into a rails app? I would like users to be able to add a marker by clicking the map, and have spent a few days looking for a suitable tutorial or plugin (beyond ym4r), to little avail...any help would be much appreciated as I am finding the Google Maps API rather difficult to get into! I've also come across the railskit for google maps - does anyone have any experience in using it?
Just fyi, I made https://rubygems.org/gems/gmaps4rails which is a useful wrapper with several options.
I probably wouldn't use YM4R. We tried it and found that it doesn't add much value because it just wraps the API. I would recommend working with Google Maps directly from JavaScript. Google Maps API documentation is pretty good, and there are quite a few examples on the web.
There is an example of a click handler on the map here, and adding a marker is just a matter of doing
map.addOverlay(new GMarker(latlng));
