How to get the first video from any YouTube channel in new version? - youtube

In the previous YouTube version there was an option to get the first YouTube video as follows:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/MrBeast6000/videos?view=0&sort=da&flow=grid // MrBeast6000 channel Name
But the new version does not support this method. Is there any other way to get the first video of any YouTube channel?

Sadly not as far as I know, at least not nearly as easily as it once was.
The only solution is to retrive ALL videos from a channel and then locally revert the most recent to oldest videos.
Hope this helps!

Using youtube-dl or yt-dlp (a fork of the former, my current go-to)
You can use the following command-line expression to pull the first video:
yt-dlp https://www.youtube.com/<CHANNEL-ID> --playlist-reverse --max-downloads 1
Haven't found a way to do that with the Youtube UI.

Youtube Data API v3: Sort by date not working

The sorting is not working as expected since a few hours.
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/search?order=date&part=snippet&channelId=UC_x5XG1OV2P6uZZ5FSM9Ttw&key=YOUR_API_KEY
Can be tried in the API explorer (Execute without OAuth) as well.
https://developers.google.com/apis-explorer/#p/youtube/v3/youtube.search.list?part=snippet&channelId=UC_x5XG1OV2P6uZZ5FSM9Ttw&order=date
date: Resources are sorted in reverse chronological order based on the date they were created.

What is going wrong?
In case you are looking to get the latest videos of a channel:
Get the channels upload playlist from Channels
Get the latest videos in the channels upload playlist from PlaylistItems
Alternatively, you can use the channels RSS feed:
https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id={ChannelId}
https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?user={User}
This does not replace the full search sorted by date function however.
Thanks YouTube for making me work on a Sunday, all I wanted was to watch the latest videos from my favorite channels. At least I don't have to wait for a fix anymore, good luck to those less lucky!

YouTube is aware the search/sorting functions aren't working as expected – this is temporary and part of our efforts to better respond, review and remove graphic, violative content from YouTube. Thanks for your patience while we work through this. Will update this thread when these features are working normally again, feel free to subscribe for updates.
Bug reports for this include:
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/128673031
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/128673552
Both have an official comment from Google:
Thank you all for bringing this up here. These specific filters have been currently disabled on both YouTube.com and through the APIs. We should have updates on this soon. Thanks again.
Not sure how credible that is:
Just confirming that this is only temporary, and related to YouTube's efforts to better respond, review and remove graphic, violative content from YouTube. Thanks for your patience while we work through this.

Output last and popular youtube videos on site ? any api?

I want to output last videos and popular videos of my youtube channel.
Is there any standart widget, api method for this?
Based on this answer, you can use the YouTube Data V3 API to get the uploads playlist ID, which you can then use to get the latest videos in that playlist. You can change the value of maxResults to return however many videos you want (from 0 to 50).
Use the search:list method to get your most viewed videos by specifying the channel ID and setting order=viewcount (not quite sure what you want when you say popular videos, you could also set order=rating to get the highest rated videos). This video might also help you out.

PHPmotion V2 / new google api3 = video-embedder + mass video embedder dont work

My site is www.civiljutub.hu, which is an important site in Hungary (hungarian NGOs). I use phpmotion v2.
Me and my users can't now (from 06-05-2015) embed videos from YouTube. Video-embedder and mass video embedder don't work. Message is:
https://youtube.com/devicesupport
What is the resolution?
When I try to embedding a video = http://i.ytimg.com/vi/UKY3scPIMd8/0.jpg
4 years ago has been inserted into the video from YouTube ONLY. The site is dead if the paste function not working. What can be done so I can re-insert videos from YouTube?
PHPmotion's YouTube-related power tools may need to be updated to accommodate the recent YT API changes. Try getting in touch with PHPmotion customer service at http://service.phpmotion.com.
Hope this helps!

YouTube RSS of Most Recent Videos?

I'm trying to get an RSS feed for the most recent videos uploaded to YouTube. Not by a specific user or that contains a specific keyword - I'm looking for a feed link that will show all the most recent videos in the order they're published.
Here's what I got so far but it's definitely missing a ton:
http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/videos/-/*?v=2&orderby=published&client=ytapi-youtube-rss-redirect&alt=rss
Does anyone know a link to YouTube's most recent uploads RSS feed?
You can no longer get the most recent that was deprecated on the 12th September 2013. The only feed you can now get seems to be most_popular if you check YouTube Feeds Docs and scroll down to standard feeds you will find a note that states that it was deprecated.
Not sure what you are doing with the link you have given though as that seems to give you the most recent videos with the latest at the top sorted at date when I tried it. If you can be a bit more specific as to what you are trying to do I may be able to help further.

Why the link get from youtube get_video_info doesn't work for download?

I test with browser with the link I get from "http://www.youtube.com/get_video_info?&video_id=xx" to see if it is be able to download.
After remove some parameters from original link, some works but some still don't.
I read some post here but most of are pretty old. A lot of change since then.
I wonder if there are somebody working on this recently.
The purpose I need this is because my youtube view program need a better quality video to display.
This is link doesn't work:

What wrong with it? I removed fallback_path and replace sig with signature.
The working link is for webm. This is for h264. Both have the same kind of parameters.
And this is working now.

That's not a supported method of interacting with YouTube. You need to use one of the official YouTube Player mechanisms to display YouTube videos.
Please familiarize yourself with the YouTube API Terms of Service if you have any more questions.
