Globally installed Phalcon PHP devtools do not work on Windows 10, Why? - wampserver

I installed Phalcon PHP as described in https://docs.phalcon.io/3.4/en/webserver-wamp.
In this case the URL reads 3.4 because it applies alike for versions 4 and 5.
The WAMP server version is 3.2.6 configured with PHP 8.0.13
Everything was fine so far, so I continued installing the developer tools using composer as described in https://docs.phalcon.io/5.0/en/devtools.
Composer was installed globally and so were the developer tools, but when I type "phalcon" in the command window, the following error is shown:
C:\>phalcon
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class "Phalcon\Script" not found in C:\Users\Joachim\AppData\Roaming\Composer\vendor\phalcon\devtools\phalcon.php:38
Stack trace:
#0 {main}
thrown in C:\Users\Joachim\AppData\Roaming\Composer\vendor\phalcon\devtools\phalcon.php on line 38
C:\>
PSR and Phalcon extensions were successfully installed and I can see them in the WAMP Localhost page.
The Path environment variable contains the path to phalcon, composer, wamp, etc, nothing is missing as far as I can see.
Have anyone dealt with this error?
What could be the problem?

I'm a bit late answering this, but in case anyone else stumbles across it via Google the problem is that some namespaces have been altered between Phalcon4 and Phalcon5. I believe Phalcon\Config is one of those classes.
Until the devtools have been updated for Phalcon5, you'll either need to build the scaffolding manually, or copy an old Phalcon 3 or 4 project and update the namespaces.
The perils of using alpha/beta releases, unfortunately.

you didn't mention which phalcon version but since you are using php 8 the only version supporting php 8 is phalcon 5
your issue is most likely in your php.ini for the cli since wamp uses different files for apache and cli.
to fix the issue first remove the devtools package you installed globally then edit the cli php.ini in [wampDir]\bin\php\php8.0.13\php.ini and include psr and phalcon and install the devtools again using composer
you can also download the phar file here and test it in the cli
php phalcon.phar

Neos CMS installation 500 error: Specified path not found

I tried to install Neos CMS local under Windows 10 with a Wamp Apache Server. After creating the project with a composer and registering the Vhosts, I tried to run neos.demo/setup. Then I get an 500 internal server error with the message "Specified path not found”, for more information, take a look at the screenshot.
I checked the solutions for the exception code 1355480641, but nothing can solve my problem.
Thanks for your recommendations!
do you have set Neos.Flow.core.phpBinaryPathAndFilename in Configuration/Settings.yaml to the correct php.exe binary path?
This is not an actual solution, this is more of an alternative.
I was having troubles installing neos on windows 10 as well (not the same as you though), a really nice solution that I would recommend as alternative to wamp is bitnami-neos.
I got the same error in the current version of Neos CMS (v4.1). The solution to the problem was for me:
Adjust Configuration/Settings.yaml with the php.exe path (which you already did)
Launch an administrator cmd
Go to the Neos CMS directory
Run flow flow:core:compile
Run flow flow:cache:warmup
Now I could access Neos with XAMPP.

dxgettext and Windows 10

Has anyone got dxgettext running under Windows 10?
I installed dxgettext from the offical homepage under Windows 10, which worked fine.
But whenever I try to run some of the installed tools (e.g. msgfmt.exe), they don't really run, but call themselves again, generating thousands of processes and making the system crawl.
This is what happens:
I call msgfmt --help
the executable msgfmt hangs, blocking the command window
in the TaskManager I see houndreds of msgfmt.exe processes popping up
I think, I have to replace the gettext tools of the dxgettext package with some newer version but before trying to figure it out I first wanted to ask if someone else experienced similar problems and found a working solution.
My questions:
Has anyone got the tools coming with dxgettext running under Windows 10?
What steps have been necessary to get it to run?
I resolved the problem in the following way:
I downloaded https://github.com/mlocati/gettext-iconv-windows/releases/download/v0.19.8.1-v1.14/gettext0.19.8.1-iconv1.14-static-32.zip from https://mlocati.github.io/articles/gettext-iconv-windows.html
I replaced the following files from the installation directory of dxgettext with files from the zip archive:
msgattrib.exe
msgcat.exe
msgcmp.exe
msgcomm.exe
msgconv.exe
msgen.exe
msgexec.exe
msgfilter.exe
msgfmt.exe
msggrep.exe
msginit.exe
msgmerge.exe
msgunfmt.exe
msguniq.exe
xgettext.exe
Result:
Dxgettext and the tools, I use, seem to work fine. I found no problems with my workflow so far, with one exception:
If I use assemble to embed mo-files into an exe compiled with JvGnugettext.pas, I get the following error:
Pach code “6637DB2E-62E1-4A60-AC19-C23867046A89” was not found in .exe file. Are you sure the .exe file has been compiled with the correct libraries?
This may not be related to the original problem. However, it is resolved by replacing the original assemble.exe with the version from https://sourceforge.net/p/dzlib/code/HEAD/tree/buildtools/trunk/ (see answer by #dummzeuch).
The installer on the official home page is pretty old. Last time I looked it contained several outdated dlls and executables from the original gnugettext project that did not work correctly under recent Windows versions. You could take those from my buildtools repository on OSDN. These work for me. No guarantee that they work for you though.
https://osdn.net/projects/dzlib-tools/scm/svn/tree/head/buildtools/trunk/
I've been having these issues too with dxgettext 1.22, in Windows 10 1607. I changed some DLLs at first but kept having the bash.exe looping and hogging my PC to death.
So what I did was basically install latest Cygwin 32bit and replaced the appropiate DLLs. I kept the ones for gettext. Instructions:
Download and fresh install dxgettext-1.2.2.exe from http://dxgettext.po.dk/download as admin. Restart.
Download Cygwin 32bit from https://cygwin.com/install.html in a different folder from dxgettext (I took the default, c:\cygwin)
Run setup-x86.exe and select "Base" Package (Install). Next, Select Required packages just in case.
Move the following files from dxgettext folder to a backup folder (we'll use some DLL later):
cyg*.dll
bash.exe
Copy from c:\cygwin to the dxgettext folder the following files:
bash.exe (set to run as admin)
cygwin1.dll
cygiconv-2.dll
cygintl-8.dll
cygreadline7.dll
cyggcc_s-1.dll
cygncursesw-10.dll
Recover the file(s) below from the backup folder (See #4) and copy to the dxgettext folder.
cyggettextsrc-0-14-1.dll
cyggettextlib-0-14-1.dll
cygintl-3.dll
Running like this, you might get error 740 (requires elevation). So: Set ggmerge.exe,ggfmt.exe to run as admin
** EDIT** Found online this very interesting link, from a programmer who offers a free backup written in Delphi. The good thing is he adapted the dxgettext tools to run in Windows 10. This helped me a lot.

Yaws is not loading yaws_dynopts module

I am running Yaws server version 2.0.2 with Erlang/OTP 18 [erts-7.3] on ubuntu 16.04 and installed it using apt. Now when i try to run this example i get
undef yaws_dynopts random_seed. I have verified that module yaws_dynopts is not loaded OR compiled.
error is:
{undef,[{yaws_dynopts,random_seed,[6885,441906,806568],[]},
{m1,'-out/1-fun-0-',1,
[{file,"/home/my_account/.yaws/yaws/default/m1.erl"},{line,16}]}]}
which corresponds to line in example:
yaws_dynopts:random_seed(erlang:phash(node(), 100000),
erlang:phash(A2, A3),
A3),
Do anyone have solution to this? And is it a bug?
Does l(yaws_dynopts). also cause an error? I'm starting to believe whoever packaged your version of Yaws didn't do it correctly, leaving out this critical module. You should look to see if version 2.0.3 is available, or alternatively consider building your own from source. We're currently at 2.0.4.

Installing VIM in Minix 3.1.8

I've Googled this a thousand times and I cannot, for the life of me, get VIM to work on my Minix 3. For the record, I am running on a Windows machine with Minix 3 working on Oracle's VM VirtualBox.
I've tried typing,
# pkgin up && pkgin in vim
but I get the error:
pkgin: Can't open database /usr/var/db/pkgin/pkgin.db: unable to open database file: No such file or directory
I then try to do pkgin search git to search for a package, but I get the same error. Could this be some kind of Internet connection issue? I'm incredibly confused.
If you haven't already, download the binary package from here:
ftp://ftp.minix3.org/pub/minix/packages/3.3.0/i386/editors/
Change "i386" to your correct architecture, if different.
As you're probably already familiar, this page tells you how to install binary packages for Minix:
http://wiki.minix3.org/en/UsersGuide/InstallingBinaryPackages
As far as your "pkgin" errors, here are two possible solutions:
http://osdir.com/ml/minix3/2011-03/msg00244.html
How to install vim into Minix3?
I asked on the Minix 3 Google Groups Forums and they solved my problem. If anyone else has trouble, I'm pasting a response by Lionel:
Switch to http downloads by editing "/usr/pkg/etc/pkgin/repositories.conf" and comment out the line:
ftp://ftp.minix3.org/pub/minix/packages/$osrelease/$arch/All
and add the following:
http://www.minix3.org/pkgsrc/packages/$osrelease/$arch/All
Then do shutdown, boot, pkgin update and then install your desired packages.

How to install ImageMagick on Windows 7 (2)

Hopefully, despite similar question titles, this isn't a duplicate issue.
I've installed ImageMagick-6.7.5-6-Q16-windows-dll.exe.
I have php_imagick_dyn-Q16.dll renamed to php_imagick.dll in PHP's ext directory.
I have extension=php_imagick.dll in my php.ini.
I try to run a basic test: php -r "var_dump(class_exists('Imagick'));".
I get this error:
PHP Startup: imagick: Unable to initialise module
Module compiled with module API=20060613
PHP compiled with module API=20090626
These options must match.
CLI has stopped working.
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.
> Check online for a solution and close the program
> Close the program
What have I done wrong?
First install :
Link
Download :
http://www.sk89q.com/2010/03/vc6-windows-binaries-for-imagick-2-3-0/
Choose the TS one
Open your php.ini file
Add this line :
extension=php_imagick.dll
Restart your apache server
open php_info()
Now your imagick lib is ready to use.
This works for me.
