i have jenkins and nexus running on docker-compose
i also have a weblogic 12.2.1.4 container running separately on the same machine.
I want to retrieve .war files from Nexus and deploy them to the weblogic container using Jenkins.
Do you have any idea how i can achieve this ?
I have managed to retrieve .war from Nexus using a wget command and it gets downloaded to the workspace correctly.
I looked at the WebLogic Deployment plugin and it's asking for these two fields that i don't know how to fill

But i wonder where can i find the workspace within this agent.
My some builds failing and putting logs file inside container. I couldnt find these files.
Do you know where to search workpace ? In docker host itself ?
You can find it on the host, which was configured to run containers in Configure Clouds menu.
But it is not configured in my example.
I am very new to devops and I could really use some help to understand the concept of this.
So I am trying to develop a continuous integration environment using VirtualBox and Vagrant. I've read some examples of how to build such an environment to pull a maven project from github, build it and deploy to the nexus artefact repository.
I have managed to configure a VM with Ubuntu and installed Tomcat on it.
What I don't understand is where should I configure the Jenkins jobs to build the project and to deploy it to nexus and to make it run in Tomcat Server. On my local machine or in the virtual machine ?

If you are using bridged/hostonly networking for ubuntu, then you can run the jenkins in your host machine. If it is NAT/Private networking, use guest machine to run jenkin jobs.
I'd like the files generated by Jenkins script to be automatically copied into a given directory on the local network.
Is there a plugin or script for doing that ?
In my case it worked by using SCP in a build step "Execute shell". The remote server needs to be accessible via ssh.
If your artifacts are the result of a maven build, maybe a Nexus Repository Manager is what you are looking for. A simple mvn deploy would do the job.
I'm new to CI/CD process.
We have a model deploying a spring boot application through jenkins in docker in a same machine.
We was searching in internet how to deploy an application to another server, the only key which we have got is through SSH agent. I hope SSH is only for communicating.
Can we have a complete example how to deploy into another server and what are the other preventive measure to be taken into account.

In your Jenkins pipeline you need to define a stage for publishing the docker image and in your infrastructure you need a repository that stores your artifacts and docker images.
Repositories I know are Nexus or JFrog Artifactory.
So your server1, at the end of the pipeline, will upload the stable docker image to Nexus.
To execute the docker images in another server (not using an orchestrator) you may use Ansible.

I am trying to run a jenkins job inside a windows docker container. I have successfully created an image with windows server code docker image which will have MSBuildEngine 4.7.
The problem I am facing is I am not able to run a Jenkins job inside that container.
I am able to do it easily with linux environment.
The actual problem is, Jenkins first puts a shell file which will have the command to run the container and inspect it.
How do I tell Jenkins that my environment is not Linux and it is Windows.
Note: Searching in google does not help now a days. So I directly reached out here
I am working on this issue as well. I am finding that the (maybe just a) underlying issue is how Jenkins tells Docker to mount a volume to the container. I have yet to get around this issue.

There's a PR addressing this issue and I tested the fork with both Linux and Windows slaves to work as we intend.
Download Rbutcher's fork of the plugin:

Change to the working branch:
git checkout feat/windows_slaves
Build the plugin:
mvn -DskipTests clean install
Manually import into Jenkins:
