I am trying to set up an iPad with no access to Bing. I have a domain blocker which prevents access to Bing in a web browser on the iPad, but Bing Images is still accessible in the OneNote App if I click on "Online Images." I have provided a photo. Online Pictures button I used the "inspect element" on my desktop version of OneNote to see if I could find a url in the code, but nothing works.
Would anyone know how to find the link that OneNote uses to get photos from Bing images so I may disable it?

I would like to integrate Google assistant inside my app. The idea is that I have a app which provides various press services, like giving latest news and such. I would like to integrate Google assistant for handling some particular requests. For example the user may ask, "what did the Lakers yesterday?" If i search this on Google or ask to the assistant, i will get a card with the score of yesterday's game. I would like, from inside my app, to replicate this interaction, that is sending the request to Google assistant and showing the answer that Google return to the user (or at least opening Google assistant with the answer)
Is such a thing possible?
I was looking at Google Assistant service sdk (https://developers.google.com/assistant/sdk/guides/service/python/) and it says:
The Google Assistant Service gives you full control over the integration with the Assistant by providing a streaming endpoint. Stream a user audio query to this endpoint to receive a Google Assistant audio response.
Is this possible only with audio interaction? I'm not quite certain this is the solution I should look into
The Google Assistant SDK Service allows you to send both audio or text to the Assistant and you'll get back responses including audio, display text, and rich HTML visual content.
For mobile apps, there's less support compared to Python, but it's still doable. For example, there's a version of the SDK for Android Things, which means for IoT devices like a Raspberry Pi. You can go through this project and remove all the IoT references, but it's something you'd need to do yourself.
I have created a basic web page that links to a few YouTube accounts. Each account has a custom URL as allocated by Google via Google+:
http://www.youtube.com/c/*channelName
The links work fine in iOS Safari and offers to open the YouTube app, which is the behaviour that I want, but when I click the links in iOS Chrome it simply sends me to the mobile YouTube website.
Anyone know why Chrome doesn't launch the YouTube app? Normally if you click a YouTube link in Chrome it does it by default, but I can't get it to work with this particular URL format.
Try this:
Open settings in iOS Chrome
Google Apps
Turn on YouTube
YouTube was off by default on my iPhone.
Apologies if this is a rubbish question, but it's something I've never had to give much thought and I'm short on time. I have a Web App which is required to run offline and on iOS. This Web App has a lot of content consisting mainly of videos. One solution we are thinking of is to utilise DropBox's or Google Drive's API's to download the content and access it.
The main issue with this is whether you can access a native app (DropBox or Google Drive) from a browser or Web App. Does anyone know if this is possible?
Ideas so far are:
Access Drop Box or Google Drive native app from a web app (not sure if this is possible and is the current question)
Wrap up the web app to make it a hybrid native app using something like Phone Gap (this is plan B but will have its own issues)
Convert to a Google Chrome App to get improved access to Google Drive API (not sure how this would function on iOS)
Start from scratch and build a native iOS app (a longer term solution)
Thanks
Chris
Late, but maybe helpful: www.cloudrail.com
It's a useful Javascript library to access the Dropbox and Google Drive API
We ended up making a hybrid app using PhoneGap for iOS.
I am trying to link to a specific video from facebook directly in iOS.
There are apps in AppStore that do exactly that (feks iLoaderLite).
I have the id of the video, and when i use the link on the mac, the video opens (using flash i suppose).
The link is "http://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=1432879026926621".
When I use the same link in a webView, the webView responds by requiring flash, which of course is not available for the iOS.
If I use MPMoviePlayer, nothing is loaded and I have a black screen since it cannot decode the flash video.
How do can I link to a Facebook video in iOS?
Anybody has an idea???
Thanks in advance
Found it. Using the Graph Api explorer tool for facebook (google it), you can enter the video id, and search for the video. If you output "source" you get a link with the video source in mp4. You can add parameters, and search for other stuff too.
I need to supply a single page website for a client to view offline on an iPad / iPhone.
The webpage will have Javascript, image and video assets. Reading about Cache Manifest it seems the cache on iPad is limited to 5mb.
Anyone suggest any routes forward, which ideally do not require the use of an additional app, but will allow for the offline storage of video.
You will likely have trouble with Safari to guarantee availability of your web page and videos offline.
The most reliable alternative would be to create an app using PhoneGap, because that would give you control over the video and the web page being stored offline. However that requires you to distribute it as an iOS-app to your client.
If you don't/can't distribute it as an app, you could try to find an app that is designed for offline browsing and supports video on the appstore. If you search for "Offline browser iPhone" on google or appstore you will be presented with some alternatives.
