Today, I installed Visual Studio 2019 V16.3.2.
After finishing the installation successfully, application did not launch. It just shows the opening screen and closes immediately. The same happened when tried to run the app using devenv.exe /SafeMode.
Following error threw after 2 or 3 minutes later.
To find more information about this error, checked the activity log of the Visual Studio at the location (C:\Users\Muvindu\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\16.0_cebced82) and found some errors.
Following is the activity log.

You can safely install. Sometimes the windows release and the mac release will have different versions. if you're going to be working from Windows then keeping it on the windows version is what you want to do.
I am missing the hololens emulator on the device button drop down in Visual Studio 2019.
I am using the community edition of Visual Studio.
I have hyper-v enabled.
I am using Windows 10 Pro.
I ran the HoloLensEmulatorSetup.exe and restarted my computer.
I am meeting everything on the checklist located here.
What should I try next?
Here is what happened. I am not sure why this did the trick but at least my problem is solved now.
I removed each project, in Visual Studio, and tried running everything 1 at a time. I also restarted Visual Studio between openings.
That seemed to do the trick. Everything works fine now.
In Visual Studio 2017 I went to edit the avd VisualStudio_android-23_x86_phone.avd and when i tried to save it gave me an error and then deleted the AVD
Trying to restore it via the Visual Studio setup does nothing so I am wondering how can i get this back again? Is it downloadable somewhere?
I had the exact same issue. Went to add KeyBoard support, and the profile got deleted/disappeared from Visual Studio and the .Android/avd folder. I initiated a repair of Visual Studio and the missing file and folder came back.
I just updated Xamarin Studio on my Mac. Xamarin Studio is version 6.2 (build 1821). F# interactive now reports the error:
Session termination detected. Press Enter to restart.
Pressing ENTER does not restart the shell. I have closed the shell and opened it again with the same result. I have closed Xamarin Studio and restarted the computer.
I deleted Xamarin Studio and downloaded it again from the source. F# interactive still does not open.
Does anyone know how I can restart the shell?
Update: I reinstalled version 6.1.4 and the shell works again. Older versions can be obtained from https://store.xamarin.com/account/my/subscription/downloads, after logging in.
This was fixed in the C9SR0 release:
https://developer.xamarin.com/releases/studio/xamarin.studio_6.2/xamarin.studio_6.2/
Fixed: 52721 - F# interactive doesn't work after update.
