Parameterized SAP PI Mapping - mapping

Is it possible in SAP PI parameterized mapping to get the value from a field in graphical message mapping and send that value in Java Mapping?
I have a scenario where I am getting the email list from S/4HANA system in graphical mapping but I want to use that email value in the Java Mapping which is another mapping in this scenario. I tried parameter binding but neither the import or export type of parameter is useful in this scenario since none of them can store value.
Kindly let me know if it is possible to achieve or is there any other way to get it in SAP PI system.

Not sure if parameters would be your best bet here. They are mainly intended to insert some values on configuration time into mapping at runtime.
You may want to have a look at "using global variables" like here https://blogs.sap.com/2014/10/17/how-to-use-global-variable-in-sap-pi-mapping/
One solution portrayed there is to use the "Edit Java Sections" function within graphical message mapping.
Please beware that I haven't actually tried this, so YMMV

ServiceNow Rest API (using PowerBI)

I'm on a project in which I need to get data from a ServiceNow instance and treat all data with PowerBI. I'm able to retrieve a big amount of data (Snow collect a lot of data), but I still need a way to filter data correctly. I'm calling to this URL:
Besides, I want also to apply a filter to retrieve just some specific registries from the table Requested Items. For that, I use the sysparm_query parameter to filter the field "cmdb_ci" and more specifically it's "name", something like:
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci=What I need to Filter
Apart from this, I have also tried:
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.value=What I need to Filter
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.display_value=What I need to Filter
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.sys_id=What I need to Filter
&sysparm_query=cmdb_ci.name=What I need to Filter
But still not found the solution... as all these does not respond the solution needed.
Does someone know how I can manage this?
Thanks!!
JLG
There are two "Configuration item" fields in sc_req_item: cmdb_ci and configuration_item. Make sure that you are using the correct one. Either cmdb_ci.name=value or configuration_item.name=value should work, depending on which of the two fields you are using. cmdb_ci.value and cmdb_ci.display_value will not work as there are no fields on the record with these names. cmdb_ci.sys_id should work if you are supplying a sys_id (although it is redundant to type .sys_id for a reference field).
You should first verify your query through the ServiceNow UI before attempting to use it in an API call.
Type sc_req_item.list in the Filter navigator
On the filter list select "Show related fields"
Get your filter to work correctly
Right-click on the filter and select "Copy query"
The next step is to test it using the REST API Explorer.
Final step is to configure your client tool (PowerBI).

Event Reservation with Virtual Location, not physical location

When setting up an JSON-LD Email Markup for an Event Reservation, the Location of type "Place" is required.
Is it possible to specify a VirtualLocation type for a Google Meet or Zoom session?
https://schema.org/VirtualLocation
When I test my schema using VirtualLocation, I get the error:
VirtualLocation is not a valid target type for the location property.
The type VirtualLocation is not a valid type.
You haven't mentionned the tool you're using to test, but I guess it's the Markup tester from Google ?
https://www.google.com/webmasters/markup-tester/u/0/
I feel the tool is maybe bugged ?
Because when I try with this tool
https://search.google.com/test/rich-results
It works fine

cumulocity mqtt measurement

I am pretty new to Cumulocity and I am trying to get data into the platform from my own device using mqtt and the smartrest templates. I can get data in using the static templates but they only support certain data types. I am struggling to create the appropriate smartrest template in the UI and the documentation doesn't go into much detail.
I get that the template name goes in the MQTT topic (or selected on login as part of the username) in s/ut/template_name and the messageId of the messages in the template get matched to the first CSV field of the MQTT publish payload. What I don't get is the template terminology. In the UI I choose API->Measurement and Method->POST and I am presented with required values $.type and $.time. My questions:
Is $.type the "measurement fragment type" name or do I have to make it "c8y_CustomMeasurement"? Can I call it whatever I want?
$.time has a value field. Is this the default value if one is not supplied in the publish?
I assume I need to add a numerical value in the optional API values. To link it to the value of the data point should I make the key "c8y_CustomMeasurement.custom.value"?
Am I way off base here?
Every time I publish to my own smartrest template the server drops the connection so I assume its an error in my template setup but I don't see a way of accessing debug messages (also nothing is published back to me on s/e or s/dt).
For the sake of an example, lets say I wish to publish a unitless, timestamped pulse count with payload format "mId,ts,value" with example data "p01,'2017-07-17 12:34:00',1234"
What you wrote so far is mostly correct just to be a bit more precise:
The topic is s/uc/template_id (not the template name, this is just a label)
The $.type refers to the 'type' fragment in the measurement JSON. It is a free text field
In 99% of cases you want to leave the $.time empty. If you set something here it is not the default but fixed to that timestamp and you cannot change it when using the template. If you leave it empty and still not send something in
Example: p01,2017-07-17T12:34:00,1234 (no quotes arounf timestamp and ISO8601 format
Example without sending time: p01,,1234 (sending empty string as time results in server time beeing set. The template is the same)
Hope these points help you to find you issue

How do I construct the cake when using Scalaxb to connect to a SOAP service?

I've read the documentation, but what I need to know is:
I'm not using a fictitious stock quote service (with an imaginary wsdl file). I'm using a different service with a different name.
Where, among the thousands and thousands of lines of code that have been generated, will I find the Scala trait(s) that I need to put together that correspond to this line in the documentation's example:
val service = (new stockquote.StockQuoteSoap12Bindings with scalaxb.SoapClients with scalaxb.DispatchHttpClients {}).service
Now, you might be thinking "Why not just search for Soap12Bindings in the generated code"? Good idea - but that turns up 0 results.
The example in the documentation is outdated, or too specific. (The documentation is also internally inconsistent and inconsistent with the actual filenames output with scalaxb.)
First, search for SoapBindings instead of Soap12Bindings to find the service-specific trait (the first trait).
Then, instead of scalaxb.SoapClients, use scalaxb.Soap11Clients.

Passing Parameters To report using url address

I'm developing some reports for Main Page in Dynamics Ax, however the problem i've got is connected with SSRS. Typical scenario i have report A and report B, i need to open report A when clicking on report B. Opening report itself is correct, but passing parameters is more tricky. After some research i got to the point when I want to run report A in browser using the adress
http://(server address)/Reports/Pages/Report.aspx?ItemPath=/Dynamics/Reports.VendorsOpenTransactionsCount.AutoDesign1&rs:Command=Render&VendOpenTrans_dataAreaID=dor&VendOpenTrans_p1=2011-07-21&VendOpenTrans_p2=2011-07-21
and then i get report displayed(main window) but non of the parameters are validated into proper textboxes, and changing the value of them doesn't have any impact.
can anyone here help me with that "challenge"
Actually, I believe the critical difference is whether you are passing parameters (via URL) to a report that is using database engine or the SSAS - the analytical engine as a data source.
If your data source is the analytical engine then your parameter should be given in the 'dimension format', rather than in the precise format, like &parmname=140, etc. Allow me to explain using specific example and using SSAS data source for this illustration (there is plenty of solutions available on the net for the database engine based solution, including Microsoft postings).
My server name is FRELASM.
So, I have SSAS data source called DealerSource (not visible here).
I have parameter defined in the parameter's section of the SSRS as: #DwDimDealerCorpDlrNbr
In SSAS I have the following dimension:
[Dw dim Dealer] that has attribute: [Corp Dlr Nbr] ==> giving: [Dw dim Dealer].[Corp Dlr nbr]
What I want is to show a report for a single dealer 'number' (but it is a text field, hence the leading zeros) equal to 00140. So, I am looking for Corporate dealer number=00140.
The parameter passing DOES NOT WORK if I use this [this would be find against database engine, but it does not work with SSAS).
What you need is this:
replace constant 00140 with [dimension].[attribute].[value]
do not use & character, rather replace it with: %26.
So, the working version is this.
Can you take a look at this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155391.aspx
It explains about when you can pass parameters via URL. Maybe your parameters are not set to Prompt for user input. HTH.
