Every page in my app shows black screen when navigated to, I want to believe this is just a minor issue, any help on why am getting this black screens that once worked would be highly appreciated.
My code is on this link:

I'm trying to get my app's splash screen to be displayed correctly instead of a black screen for a few seconds before the splash screen. I have made 3 implementations of the splash screen; issues with each are listed below:
XIB: This only displays the background color of the splash screen for a few seconds and then the rest of the splash is loaded.
XIB + Asset Catalog: For iPhone 5 running iOS 8: if the phone is currently displaying the blue navigation bar and the app is opened from a url while in the background, a black screen will be displayed before the splash.
Storyboard: On all models: this displays a black splash screen before the actual one loads.
Is this an iOS bug or am I implementing something wrong?
You might want to check the logic that is executed when the application is launched - application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions:. If it takes significant time to execute the code in it, then this might be the problem. It is always recommended to return fast and execute any additional logic on a later moment.
It's so quite simple! I had such bug and I solved it.
You should enable "Enable Initial View Controller" to see splash screen
Does anyone know what's wrong with the grey background here? It only happens when the page is loading. Please see the below screenshot. I'm new to IOS development and I would like to know how I could start debugging this issue. Thanks!
I'm working on an app made by other people.
When I open the app, the status bar is completely black.
I attach a screenshot.
What could be the problem?
I have been trying to solve this app icon color issue all morning. I am still experiencing this after going through both of these highly recommended photoshop/iOS design articles:
http://davidmckinney.com/blog/2013/12/31/designing-iphone-apps-how-to-setup-photoshop
http://bjango.com/articles/photoshop/
Here is the problem that I am having:
When creating my app's icon, the color that I see in Photoshop is the exact same color that I see in xcode's asset catalog. It is also perfect when I run the app on the iOS simulator.
However, when I run my app on my iPhone the app icon's color is always darker.
What's weird, is if I take a screenshot of my iPhone's screen and email it to myself, the color is correct! So for some reason the color is only darker when you are actually looking at the iPhone's screen.
Pardon my ignorance, but this is the first design I have ever done for an iOS app and I don't understand why this is happening or how to fix it.
EDIT: I am now using LiveView after reading this answer: https://stackoverflow.com/a/3597221/3344977
What's funny is no matter how hard I try I cannot get the color I see on my screen to appear on my iPhone screen. It's as if this shade of Pink I'm trying to use just isn't possible to render on an iPhone display.
This is because your iPhone and Monitor screens have different color calibrations (if that's the right term)
You're going to want to setup a color profile on your computer that matches the iPhone screens as closely as possible, and use that when developing icons.
for some reason the color is only darker when you are actually looking at the iPhone's screen
Consider turning up the brightness on your iPhone. Go to Settings->Wallpapers & Brightness to adjust it.
In any case, the issue isn't that the value of the color is changing on your device, it's just that that color value is being rendered differently.
Its because the resolution of your screen is different than your iOS device try it on other device
I'm working on application in ios using PhoneGap(1.9).Following are the issue's i'm facing with quiet few hours...
1)My application is getting crash when application enters in background mode.
2)Also,how to disable splash screen.I have deleted default.png image, but still it is showing splash screen with phonegap logo followed by white blank screen.
Thanks & regards.
I came across this question because I'm having the same problem with background mode.
However, regarding splash screen, I can tell you that you have to replace the specific file for the screen size. It generates images for all of the screen sizes and you have to replace them in the built folder, not just the original project folder (at least I seem to have to do this).
The built folder is at the path that should look like /MyProject/platforms/ios/www/res/screen/ios/[screen_specific_splash_screens]
Similarly I had to do the same for the icons:
/MyProject/platforms/ios/www/res/icon/ios/[screen_specific_icons]
Docs for these files (talks about which screen sizes):
