QtLua capture slider value change - lua

I am trying to make a simple UI using qtlua, in which I want to capture the slider value everytime it changes. I tried to connect to the valueChanged() signal, but qlua gives me the following error:
cannot find source signal valueChanged()
The code snippet looks like this:
slide = (widget.sliderLight)
print(slide)
qt.connect(slide, 'valueChanged()',

So just a test to print everytime the value changes. But I cannot get it working. The documentation for the qtlua doesn't have a class for qslider, so that's a dead end for me. And I couldn't find any examples for using qtlua with a slider that is connected to the valueChanged() signal. The only example I found was with the test.lua in the qtuiloader example, but that uses a timer, which I assume is pooled at regular interval. My aim is to hook this up to an image processing system, so it would be useful if I could tie it to when the value changes, rather than patch in with a timer and a check system. I am pretty new to qt, so must be missing something. Any and all help would be really appreciated!
Oh and I made sure I have tracking checkbox checked in the qtdesigner, to ensure that the signal is emitted.

Okay, so I dug around a little more in the documentation of QT for the valueChanged() slot. Turns out, the function signature has an int argument in it, so the Lua connect code was looking for a function signature without any arguments. Modifying the above code to the following works as expected:
slide = (widget.sliderLight)
print(slide)
qt.connect(slide, 'valueChanged(int)',
function(w)
print('Value: ', w)
end)
Declaring a function with the same signature also passes in the required value, which saves me an explicit value query.
Hopefully, this will be useful for someone someday.

What are the actual differences between the print() vs debugPrint() and log() in Flutter?

I am trying to create a util for logging.
I need to know the actual differences between print() vs debugPrint() and log().
Many answers I have seen are outdated or confusing. Also, some upvoted answers are contradict.
I am trying to print error messages in red color. I am using ANSI code to achieve it.

The above one print in red color.
But when i do the same using log(), its not printing in red color. Its escaping the ANSI code.
One thing I found out was log() has error parameter.
If i pass something as error , it handles red color by default.
Here in the first one using log, red is not coming because ANSI code is ignored. But in debugPrint using it's working fine. In third one it takes error red by default. But extra line is added even for empty string message.

Because I have other ANSI code to make different color text.
I dont want use debugPrint because if I print some thing too frequently , the system ignore the logs.
After digging some time I found out that log function is implemented in c++ in the dart runtime.As the log function is external function in dart sdk.

EDIT:
While using debugPrint and when I launch app from Android studio terminal, the ANSI color is working in android but when I run it same in iOS its escaping the characters in same Android Studio terminal.
If ANSI code support is based on terminal support, I couldn't figure out why its having issue in same terminal in iOS.

debugPrint() is similar to print() but with a throttles applied to prevents being dropped by Android’s kernel.
If you have linter setup on VSCode or other IDE, you will see this warning whenever you use print in your code. For more information, you can refer to Avoid print calls in production code.
To avoid the lint error, you can use kDebugMode with print or debugPrint instead.

As for log(), it actually allows you to include more information on the logging output. For example, you can add the runtimeType and the relevant object in the log that can help you in debugging the code.

Conditional OCR rotation on the image or Page in KOFAX

We have two source of inputs to create a Batch first is Folder Import and second is Email import.
I need to add condition where if the source of image is Email it should not allow to rotate the image and like wise if source if Folder import it should rotate the image.
I have added a script for this in KTM.
It is showing proper message of the source of image but it is not stopping the rotation of the image.

The KTM Scripting Help has a misleading topic named "Dynamically Suppress Orientation Detection for Full Page OCR" where it shows setting Csc_RT_NoRotation from the Document_AfterClassifyXDoc event.
The reason I think this is misleading is because rotation may already have occurred before that event and thus setting the property has no effect. This can happen if layout classification has run, or if OCR has run (which can be triggered by content classification, or if any project-level locators need OCR). The sample in that topic does suggest that it is only for use when classifiers are not used, but it could be explained better.
The code you've shown would be best called from the event Document_BeforeProcessXDoc. This will run before the entire classify phase (including project-level locators), ensuring that rotation could not have already occurred.
Of course, also make sure this isn't because of a typo or anything else preventing the code from actually executing, as mentioned in the comments.

Ada compiler: warning variable <X> is assigned but never read

I have the following very simple piece of code in Ada which is giving me grief. I trimmed down the code to the minimum to show the problem, the only thing you need to know is that Some_Task is a task type:

From what I understand about task activation in Ada this should be sufficient: I'm creating a task of type "Some_Task" and I don't have to do anything with it, it will execute it's main loop without any intervention. It's not like in java where you have to call a "start" method on the task object.
But if I'm correct, why is the compiler refusing to build, giving me the error:
warning variable "Task1" is assigned but never read
Why should I be forced to "read" Task1? It's a task, all it needs to do is run... what am I missing?
Note: this seems to happen only when I use GNAT in "Gnat mode" (switch -gnatg). Unfortunately I need this mode for some advanced pragmas, but it seems it introduces some "overzelous" checks like the one causing the problem above. How can I deactivate that check?
It's a warning, not an error, and does not prevent building an executable (unless you've turned on "treat warnings as errors"). It's a hint from the compiler that you may have made a mistake in creating a variable that is never used. You can tell the compiler that you don't indend to use Task1 by declaring it as a constant, like this:
Task1 : constant Some_Task_Ref := new Some_Task;
Just to answer this question, since the answer was posted in a comment, which cannot be marked as an answer.
As Holt said (all props to him) this can be fixed by using:

Lua error for WoW addon (Tukui)

I don't have a lot of coding experience, did some C a few years ago, so that helps, but Lua handles things a bit differently, so I can't keep track.

I have to do a reload of the ui after this happens to be able to see chat text again for that person.
Line 335 in that .lua file is this:

Now I've learned that the .. indicates the concatenate function, but that isn't really helping me.

You are probably using a global that gets defined from some other addon in a now deterministic way
While the (classColor or "") will get you rid of the error, you should try and find why that variable (classColor) is sometimes defined and sometimes not. Maybe it happens only for certain classes?
A simple hack would be to just replace
..classColor..
with
..(classColor or "")..
where it will select a blank string when classColor has no value assigned to it.

Erlang Bit Syntax pattern matching works in shell but not as passed argument

The error you are getting when you run your code does not match your code. The error you are getting:
** exception error: no match of right hand side value ...
is a badmatch error and comes from an explicit = match where the pattern does not match the value from the RHS. There is no = in the code for rcv_loop/1. This implies that the loop you are running is not this code. So there are some questions to be asked:
When you have recompiled the module containing rcv_loop/1 have you restarted the loop so you run the new code? This is not done automagically.
Are you sure you are loading/running the code you think you are? I know this question sounds stupid but it is very easy, and not uncommon, to work on one version of the code and load another. You need to get the paths right.
The other things about mentioned about your code would not give this error. The calls to io:format/2 are wrong but would result in errors when you make the actual calls to io:format/2. Using the variable Socket as you do is not an error, it just means that you only want to receive UDP packets from just that socket.
EDIT : the first part of my answer was completely wrong so in order to not mislead, I deleted it.

I figured it out(kinda). I had been working on this in erlide in eclipse which had worked fine for all of the other parts of the. I tried compiling it from the erl shell and it worked fine. There must be some minor difference in the way eclipse is representing the source or the way it invokes the erlang compiler and shell. I will take it up with erlide.org. Thanks for the help!
