Apple store rejection due to App Icon - ios

I have submitted an update for my already approved app on Apple store yesterday. It got rejected with this message
"Your app icon and screenshots include content which is too similar to
iPad and iPhone, which creates a misleading association with Apple
products."
The app is available on iPhone as well as iPad. I did not get this issue when I submitted the app the first time as well as 5 updates after that. I can change the screenshots but do I need to have seprate App icons for iPhone and iPad?
How can I resolve this?

They are complaining that your icons look too much like Apple's own icons. Make entirely new ones.

Yes, as apple says:
Every app must supply both small and large app icons. The small icons are used on the Home screen and throughout the system once your app is installed. The large icon is used by the App Store.
You can read more about it here:

App rejected because of screenshot, what should I do now?

I've always used my app's onboarding pages for screenshots for the previous versions and nothing was wrong. But this time apple rejected it and said the issue was:
Guideline 2.3.3 - Performance - Accurate Metadata
We noticed that your screenshots do not sufficiently reflect your app in use.
Specifically, your screenshots do not display the actual app in use.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, please revise your screenshots to ensure that they accurately reflect the app in use on the supported devices. For iPhone, you need a set of 5.5-inch display screenshots and for iPad, you need a set for 12.9-inch display. This set will be scaled appropriately down to other device sizes when viewed on the App Store in each territory.
Note that 6.5-inch display assets for iPhone XS Max are optional, and can scale down to iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone X. Screenshots that include features like rounded corners or sensor housing should only be used for the 6.5-inch or 5.8-inch display.
Resources
For resources on creating great screenshots for the App Store, you may want to review the App Store Product Page information available on the Apple developer portal.
Please ensure you have made any screenshot modifications using Media Manager. You should confirm your app looks and behaves identically in all languages and on all supported devices. Learn how to use Media Manager to add custom screenshots for each display size and localization.
Please see attached screenshots for details.
Since your App Store Connect status is Metadata Rejected, we do NOT require a new binary. To revise the metadata, visit App Store Connect to select your app and revise the desired metadata values. Once you’ve completed all changes, reply to this message in Resolution Center and we will continue the review.
What is my best option to get my app approved? My app doesn't support iPad but they seem to be demanding for iPad screenshots too.
I have faced same rejection from apple.
In my case I was added so many pages/screen in application but not added screenshot in apple store.
So I added all other screenshot then my application got approved.
If you don't want your application available for ipad then don't add screenshot in ipad or you can do as follow :
In XCode Target -> General -> Deployment Info -> Devices should be set to iPhone.

Making Ipad only app to universal without resubmitting

I have submitted my app for iPad only on app store. Is it possible to revert it to universal allowing to downloads on iPad as well as iPhone without resubmitting.
I did some googling but couldn't find anything useful.
FYI: It an app created using meteorJs
No, you will need to submit an update to your app in the App Store as the app type is embedded in the file you submit.
Apple will need to review your changes (i.e. Validate that it works correctly on iPhone).

Removing iPad support from app

I uploaded an app to the App Store a while ago, but I have to delete the iPad support for different reasons. I am not talking about removing the app from the iPad App Store, only removing the iPad support. The Developer website states the following:
Developers who wish to issue updates, but remove device support, have three choices:
Fix their app so that it can work on the devices they originally set out to support.
Target a newer version of iOS that requires a newer device.
Remove their app from the store, and upload the new app with a different bundle ID.
The problem is that if I remove the app from the app store and upload it again, I can not use the same app name. That is not an option.
Is there any way out of this mess?
Answering my own question - no, there is no other way! I ended up creating a decent looking iPad app to fix the problem.
Apple will not allow you to remove support for iPad if you ever offered it on a given app name. Further, the app has to be well enough designed for iPad that Apple likes it enough to allow it to pass. We had an app rejected for this reason.

Changing iOS app icon in future version

Is it possible to change the app icon in the future release in iOS.I dint find any document in developer library which states this.Does apple allow to change the app icon in the future update.
Are there any app in the store which have changed the app icon in there update.
When you update your apps in the apps store, you need to resubmit the application again. In this way you can include your updated icons. In addition, you can update your logo, screenshots and description on the itunes connect when you submit your updated apps.
Yes, I recently changed my entire icon set in an update (to a completely different image), and it got through the App Store review process just fine.

Non-flattened icon in an iPhone app

I submitted my app to the iTunes App Store for approval a little while ago.
Today I realized that the application icon was not flattened, as required (suggested?) in the Apple guidelines. As I understand it, a flattened icon has no transparencies, but mine does.
My dilemma is this. If I flatten the icon and resubmit the app, I lose all this time that the app has already been sitting in the approval process. If I do nothing and Apple denies my app, I will have lost even more time.
So my question is this: is a flattened icon a requirement or a suggestion? Will Apple deny my app based on the fact, that my icon has transparencies?
I know one App with a half transparent App Icon, the Dutch application to watch TV, called Uitzendinggemist (Probably only available in the Dutch App Store)
I think you must hope that it will be alright. If it will be denied anyway, re-uploading the binary with the correct Icon will probably take less time to approve, I suppose.
