reddit 503 service unavailable - reddit

Has anyone installed their own version of Reddit?
I'm using Oracle VM Virtual Box and have installed recommended 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) Ubuntu.
I then ran the reddit install script for Ubuntu and it seemed to run ok and all of Reddit was installed.
I then updated /etc/hosts and added: 127.0.0.1 reddit.local
Now when inputting http://reddit.local/ in the webbrowser I get the error:
503 Service Unavailable
No server is available to handle this request.
Any ideas here would be appreciated.

localhost connection problem while using StartMeshcat

I am using Ubuntu 22.04 LTS via WSL and working on Python 3.10 on Visual Studio Code using the Remote - WSL extension.
When I import and run StartMeshcat() it successfully displays 'INFO:drake:Meshcat listening for connections at http://localhost:7000' but I can't reach my localhost, it gives the 'ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED' error on any browser. I tried the generic solutions available on web regarding wsl localhost connection problems but none of them worked. What may be the cause? Thanks in advance!

Could not Install Craft CMS on Local Machine and on VPS

I have been trying to install Craft CMS (free version), but failed each time. At first I attempted to install it on a remote VPS with Ubuntu 20.04 server and MySQL database:
Installation via Composer failed:
In CreateProjectCommand.php line 438:
Could not find package public_html/craft with stability stable.
Then I attempted to install Craft CMS on VPS manually. I got as far as running the installer and entering my username, email and password, but that resulted in "Install failed. Please, check your logs for more info" message. Checked the logs and the problem was as follows:
2022-04-06 22:33:39 [-][-][-][error][craft\base\ApplicationTrait::getIsInstalled] There was a problem fetching the info row: SQLSTATE[42S02>
The SQL being executed was: SELECT *
FROM `info`
WHERE `id`=1
LIMIT 1
2022-04-06 22:33:39 [-][-][-][error][yii\db\Exception] PDOException: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'craftdb.inf>
Then on my local machine with Ubuntu 18.04 using Composer got the same error as under VPS. When attempting the manual install I did not get past the error
HTTP 503 – Service Unavailable – craft\web\ServiceUnavailableHttpException
Perhaps it is the free version problem. Or any other ideas?

jenkins mountain lion server

I'm trying to get Jenkins (1.510) running on my MacMini with the latest Mountain-Lion Server OSX installed (10.8.3). On the MacMini-server I've two users: admin, ioscoder and as the ioscoder user I logged-in, opened the jenkins-1.510.pkg and after entering the admin password it installed without problems.
However when the Jenkins-home page should come up, using localhost:8080, I get the following error message in Safari:
Safari can't open the page "http://localhost:8080/" because Safari can't connect to the server "localhost".
After logging in as admin and checking the current running services, being DNS, Open Directory, Websites (PHP- and Python web applications disabled), I also get the same error from above when entering the Jenkins address localhost:8080.
When I switched to the admin-user I saw on the welcome screen a Jenkins-user account, which was created by the jenkins-installer package.
What really puzzles me is that on another iMac, running Mountain Lion (NOT the server version of Mountain Lion), I installed Jenkins in the same way and after the installation finished I immediately got a running Safari which resolved the localhost:8080 to the Jenkins home screen.
Anybody ideas or suggestions why Jenkins is not running on a Mountain Lion Server device?
Google-ing for this specific problem didn't give me any clues yet.
After reading the https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Meet+Jenkins page where an easy installation was mentioned (java -jar jenkins.war) I remembered that java may not have been installed by default on a clean Mountain-Lion Server.
After activating the terminal and typing:
server:~ ioscoder$ java -v
No Java runtime present, requesting install.
it asked me if I wanted to install java. After accepting this and performing an installation of java, I was happy to see the 'Dashboard [Jenkins]' page in Safari for the localhost:8080.

how to deploy ruby on rails application in xampp in windows xp?

I'm very new to Ruby environment ..
I want to run my Ruby on rails Application in apache in xampp on windows xp rather than WeBrick server which is in-built for ruby on rails...
I tried it by adding Virtual host in apache- http.conf file
When i run my application i'm able to see "Welcome Abroad"....
But when i click on "About your application’s environment"
it was showing error like the following
Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error.
If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.

To deploy your app with apache you need to use phusion passenger http://www.modrails.com
There are plenty of how-to's around the web and the documentation is good enough to get the service running.
This means your Ruby on Rails server is NOT running.
You need to run your server first.
I made a batch file, start-server.bat which contains
d:
cd "D:\Ruby\Web\rails1"
"C:\RailsInstaller\Ruby1.9.3\bin\ruby.exe" script\rails server
then check the PORT number of the server that is running,
So since the port on the screenshot says 10524, you can run it on
http://localhost:10524/
