I submitted my app to app store one week ago. Now I got a message from apple:
We began the review of your app but aren't able to continue because we
need additional information about your app.
At your earliest opportunity, please review the following question(s)
and provide as much detailed information as you can. The more
information you can provide upfront, the sooner we can complete your
review.
How does the user chat anonymously? Please provides all the steps for the review?
Once you reply to this message in Resolution Center with the requested
information, we can proceed with your review
I provided the information in resolution center. But my app status is "Metadata rejected" and "Submit for review" button is active.
Do I need submit the app again? Or I have to wait?
You need to resubmit with the updated information.

Has anyone else had the same experience? How can I solve this problem ?
Yeah, I have met this message several times. Typically this means your review may be delayed for more days. Last time we waited for 7 days, and on the 8th day, we wrote a mail asking what's the review progress. Then the apple review team replied and continued its review.
So I suggest you wait patiently and reduce the submission frequency. And better not use private APIs next time.
Apple rejected my app with an :
Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed
We have started the review of your app, but we are not able to continue because we need an expired demo account to fully assess the subscription feature.
Next Steps
To help us proceed with the review of your app, please provide us with a link to a demo account in the App Review Information section of App Store Connect and reply to this message in Resolution Center.
I really don’t understand what kind of demo account they want from me. There are no any login screens in the application. Active subscription needed to access pdf share function.
Should I give them a test sandbox account with which we tested the subscriptions or something else?
TL;DR
You have your premium feature (features that can be accessed only with your subscription) available for non subscripted users, so they are asking you for expired account to check what happens if they don't have subscription.
Long story
We had subscription which was giving access to training videos for our users inside app. Someday we realized that we want to make this feature free and did it through our backend without releasing the app. So, the next review we've got the same reject:

After struggling around we've revealed that the problem is that Apple App Review team couldn't test the case where a user DOESN'T have subscription and CAN'T access our premium online training videos. I guess they get confused and asked as to share with them an expired demo account, so they can test this case.
At the end of the day, we've removed our subscription properly from App Store Connect and got our app passed through review. Therefore, I think you have your premium feature (features that can be accessed only with your subscription) available for non subscripted users, so they are asking you for an expired account to check what happens if they don't have subscription.
i am using testflight for client test our application. I got these information:
From Apple
2. 1 Performance: App Completeness Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed
We have started the review of your beta app, but we are not able to
continue because we need a demo account to fully assess your app
features.
Next Steps
To help us proceed with the review of your app, please provide a user
name and password in the Beta App Review Information section for your
app in iTunes Connect. Please be sure to include content in your app
that demonstrates the features and functionality available in your
app.
Since your iTunes Connect status shows as Rejected, we require a new
binary to correct this issue. Once the requested information is
available, we can continue your review.
To provide demo account information:
Log in to iTunes Connect
Click on "My Apps"
Select your app
Select “Test Information”
Scroll down to “Beta App Review Information”
Provide information in “Demo Account” and/or “Review Notes” as appropriate
Click “Save”
Scroll up to “Builds” section and submit a new binary for review
I provided the demo user account and password. But it's still with this error like:
So i am just wondering
Please be sure to include content in your app that demonstrates the features and functionality available in your app.
what's the content means here? Or i missed something important. How long does this testFlight review cost if it fails first?
Thanks for the help!
EDIT I am wondering if the content in your app means the Review Notes in the below image.
You just need to go to
AppStore -> My Apps -> Select Your App -> select
TestFlight Tab -> Test Information Tab
**Then fill testing account info and wait for reviewer **
After filled Review Notes the error was gone. And the review the finished the second day.
Looking at the description, it seems like your application needs some specific account to login to use application features. So, Apple people do not have access to your application until you provide them the testing account to log into the application.
You do not need to re-submit the application binary. You just need to provide account information to access your application. That is what they mean to say in description.
Please let me know if this information helps you
Can we resubmit the app after metadata rejection due to invalid demo account details to avoid adding back into the review queue and restart the review clock.
As Per this Link An Easy Mistake with iTunes Connect & Metadata Rejections suggested "Do not click “Submit for Review” after getting a Metadata Rejection" to avoid review process.
But apple has suggested To provide demo account information:
Log in to iTunes Connect
Click on “My Apps”
Select your app
Scroll down to “App Review Information”
Provide information in “Demo Account” and/or “Notes” as appropriate
Click Save
Click Submit for Review/ mentioned here to click on submit for review information
While your iTunes Connect Application State shows as Metadata Rejected, we don't require a new binary to correct this issue. Once this information is available, we can continue your review.
Now my question is should I click on "Submit For Review" to submit app for review process or I can only send the demo account details in reply with resolution centre message. If So,how can I send only these details to apple review team
Any help is appreciated!
If the application status is Metadata Rejected you must provide the details on the notes and press Submit for Review. Sometimes they will review fast. Sometime they can take a day or two. Press the button after filling the information they need on the Notes box.
NOTE: as of today, Dec 2015, a metadata review will put your app on the review limbo, at the end of the review line, and it will take the same time as a regular review, that is from a week to 10 days or more. Come on Apple!
Important: Do not hit "Submit for Review" since this will place your App once again at the back of the queue for app review process and you will end up wasting more time. Please reply to them through Resolution Center.
After a metadata rejection, your will receive an email with a link to the Resolution Center. Make the necessary changes and save your app don't click on "Submit for Review" button).
Send a message to your reviewer using the Resolution Center and wait a few hours. Your app will be "In Review" soon. Also you can "Submit an Appeal to the Apple Review Team".
Update:
My application was submitted January 7, 2016 Rejected by Metadata on January 13, 2016.
After send a message to the reviewer using the Resolution Center, I received a new message from Apple: "Once you have brought your app into compliance regarding this issue, we can continue with review of your app". My application status changes "In Review" after 60 mins.
My App was just rejected with the same subject. It turns out that I had the word "Android" in the "What's New In This Version" section on the AppStore page.
Remove the word or the whole line since it probably does not matter to iOS users, then simply reply the message Apple sent you in the Resolution Center and that's it.
Important: Do not hit "Submit for Review" since this will place your App once again at the back of the queue for app review process and you will end up wasting more time.
Apple asked me the information about the app and status changed from "In Review" to "Metadata Rejected". I provided them with the information they asked and clicked on "Submit for review" again.
After 8 days they again rejected it asked another set of information.
This time i provided them with the information but didn't clicked on "Submit for Review" button.
After 3 days they replied that thank for the information and we will continue to review you app. Now its been 10 days they didn't replied anything nor even the status of app changed.
What shall i do, do i need to click on "Submit for review" or just wait for them to reply. Its been one and half month i uploaded the binary.
Kindly help me out with this issue.
For those who are not sure what to do because answers are quite old this is what I do in September 2019.
I got a Metadata rejected (some screenshot issue): do not click on submit for review just make the necessary changes and save your data. After that, reply to the reviewer using The Resolution Center saying that you've just done the changes. Then just wait (an hour or a little more). They will review again that part that it was wrong. Is the best way to get the approval ASAP

you could Contact the App Review Team and request an expedited app review.https://developer.apple.com/contact/app-store/?topic=expedite. call APPLE or.
Whatever you do, do NOT click the submit for review button! Even, with a metadata reject, it will put you at the end of the review queue and you'll have to wait another 6-8 days (or whatever the current wait time is).
I would message them again and ask for an update on the review.
Usually you can fix the metadata and message Apple though the resolution center. In my experience, the reviewer has always approved the app. The wait can be as little as an hour or as long as a couple of days, but it's always been faster than the review queue, and you're getting the same reviewer.
Yes you need to press button Submit for review to move your app to the review queue
