An iOS app want to play flash video - ios

My app supports playing videos, but some of them are in Flash format. How can I make my app to support Flash playback? Thank you.

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to support the Flash format on iOS except through a proxy browser like Photon, which works like remote desktop.
If you must include your Flash videos, you can consider converting them to MP4.

Play MKV video using videojs on ios

I have integrated videojs in my website and there are mostly Mkv files to play in videojs. Now the concern is that iPhone is not playing Mkv videos and showing messages like "format not supported". If anyone has an idea regarding this issue or any alternative, please let me know.
HTML5 video has to be a format supported by the browser natively, or via media source extensions. MKV is not supported by iOS nor widely supported on desktop browsers - even if some play, others will not.
If you need a single video format, MP4/h.264/aac is the most widely supported format, but consider HLS for adaptive streaming.

How to play webm file in iOS video player

I want to give support of webm file in iOS , but iOS doesn't support this format to play a video. i Even tried to play it through HTML5 video tag but safari doesn't support webm format in HTML5 video tag that means i also cant make it work through UIWebView. But i have seen an app that is supporting this format in their media player , that means there should be some way.
Thanks in advance for help!
Have you tried integrating MediaVLCKit by VLC?
As per VLC for an iOS device: The app claims to be able to play a veritable cornucopia of different video formats, including .mkv, .vob, .wmv, and WebM .
PFA link for VLC for iOS 2.5.1 which includes MediaVLCKit library as well.
Hope this works :)

playing flash videos in ios browsers

I have a scenario where I have to play videos using flash player in iOS device's browser. Offically Apple does not support flash, so is there any way of playing flash videos in iOS devices?
You could try a flash to html5 converter like Google swiffy:
https://www.google.com/doubleclick/studio/swiffy/
Swiffy has been regularly upgraded since 2011 and does a very good job, although expect much bigger file sizes.
Also, looped event sounds in your FLA files (if any) will play only once (i.e. they don't loop). What is more, event sounds play in Swiffy in PC browsers, but currently do not play on iOS devices. Stream sound isn't supported in Swiffy yet, on any device.

Streaming AAC+ (inside FLV) on iOS using AIR

For a streaming radio station, I have an AAC+ audio stream, inside an FLV container, delivered via HTTP. An example URL is http://3023.live.streamtheworld.com/ALTROCK_S01A_AAC. I wrote a simple AIR app (using the latest AIR and Flex SDK's) to play this stream, and it works fine on PC and Android, but doesn't play anything when deployed to the iOS simulator or a device (i.e., the bytes are loaded but there is no sound).
This is similar to Can FLV AAC stream be played in Android, but for iOS.
I wanted to use AIR in this scenario, since I need to listen for the Cue Points in the FLV - and this is easy to do if you're playing Flash in a web browser, so AIR seems like the natural choice. I have also looked at http://code.google.com/p/haxecast/ and https://code.google.com/p/project-thunder-snow/ but they all seem to use the same basic idea (parse the FLV using Netstream in "data generation mode" and feed the AAC+ data to a Video object) - and so they all hit the same wall on iOS.
I also came across this post which seems possibly related although it's not quite the same situation (e.g., it's not FLV).
Is AIR on iOS supposed to support this scenario- namely, streaming AAC+/FLV audio via HTTP?
EDIT: This post also appears to hit the same obstacle - so a lot of people are asking about this situation. Anyone from Adobe have any insight?
After much further research I've concluded that AIR on iOS just doesn't support this, and you have to build a native app (or at least use framework other than AIR) instead.

Displaying flash-based youtube videos on ios devices

Is it possible to display flashed-based youtube videos on ios devices?
What solution do you use when you decide to embed youtube videos on your app?
Or do I have to give up on all flash-based contents?
In short: It is not possible. There is no way to run Flash on iOS yet, and as of last week, Adobe announced it will terminate further development for Flash on mobile devives, so there will never be. And yes, therefore you have to give up Flash-based video on iOS.
YouTube provides HTML5 versions of all videos, so you have an alternative. There a number of posts here on SO that will help you to get started, like this one.
