How to get page dots on an Apple Watch project - ios

For my Apple Watch project, I'd like to be able to swipe between different page views, and have page dots at the bottom of the screen. How do I do this in Xcode? I've tried everything and I can't seem to figure it out.

use next-page segue to implement the page based navigation.

How to debug Ionic iOS swipe gesture issues

I am dealing with a weird bug on Ionic's iOS native build where I sometimes cannot swipe back or switch tabs once I transition to a new page using router.navigateByURL(...), and trying to debug this issue has been troublesome since I can't "see" how the gestures are handled. Does anyone know where I should be looking in the code for handling transition gestures?
Here's a video demo of the problem: https://streamable.com/hk9c0
In the video, you can see me:
Swiping down to refresh using the ion-refresher element and you can see the page beneath (already entered a bug report for that part: https://github.com/ionic-team/ionic/issues/18284 )
Trying to tap the back arrow in the left corner
Attempting to swipe left to right to go back a page (hard to show that one)
Tapping the bottom tabs to transition to new tab, at one point, I tap on a tab that has an ion-fab element which appears in the bottom right because its z-index is higher than the "stuck" page.
Currently the best I've been able to do is by looking at the css classes that are added to the pages, but it's not much use....
Where app-release is the page you can see in the video and app-home is the page underneath the stack. It's my understanding that Ionic uses hammer.jsfor gestures, so I added it as a tag, please correct me if I am wrong. I cannot, for the life of me, recreate this bug consistently, but will often trigger 1 out of 50 tries.
I've been digging through the utils in Ionic Core to see where elements are being added and removed, with no luck.
I created a bug request for this here as well: https://github.com/ionic-team/ionic/issues/18305
Are you using #angular/animations to make the transitions between the pages? I had some issues like yours, as you can see in my question.
Router navigate on Ionic with animation blinking on ios using angular animations
If I am right about the use of #angualar/animations I suggest to use a custom animation of the Ionic itself, and not te angular's. You can see an working example here of its use here:
https://github.com/mhartington/ionic4-custom-animation
Since I have less tem 50 rep I cant comment so I had to post this anwser not knowing if it was really your case. Hope it helps.

Sidebar menu with uitableview in swift for ios

I'm new into ios development. I'm trying to implement a small contact manager application. I'm following a tutorial from this link http://www.kaleidosblog.com/swift-side-menu-tutorial-how-to-create-a-custom-side-menu-in-ios and I followed many, but which didn't satisfy my requirements. What I'm trying to achieve is having a sidebar menu, and have a table view as my main view. Most of the examples showed how to use them with a normal view controller. A clear example is how BBM works on iphone, when you tap more or the sidebar button. From the provided link, is there anywhere to change the initial view to table view? I've tried but it wasn't successful. I'll appreciate any help, My application as to be submitted soon. Thanks.
You can use this link for side bar menu using UITablView

Replicate iOS Pattern: Instagram Search-Style Swiping Tabs

I'm starting a new iOS project in Swift, and my experience programming native iOS applications is minimal, so please bear with me if I use some whacky terminology or overlook some simple solutions.
I'm looking to replicate a pattern in the Instagram application, as seen here:
Selected Tab
Swiping Transition
For those who don't use Instagram, what's essentially going on here is something like a UIPageViewController (with swiping functionality), but with the tabs on top indicating the selected page.
Like in Instagram, I'm planning to have this functionality within a child UIViewController of a UITabBarController (you can see the "main" tabs on the bottom).
What I started out doing was creating static tabs and adding left and right gesture recognizers to the child UIViewController, which would change the page and update the indicator of the selected page on the tabs.
This works but I'm not really loving the way it looks, nor the way it's written. I don't like the idea of needing 2 instances of the tabs, and that certainly doesn't seem to be the way Instagram is doing it, because as shown in the second image, the indicator slides between the tabs.
I've searched a fair bit, but all references to replicating Instagram patterns seem to be outdated and don't address this specific element. Like I said, though, I haven't been programming native iOS for very long (I'm an Android developer and have used Xamarin for iOS), so it's possible I'm just not using the right keywords.
I'd appreciate any help y'all can offer!
Thanks

Hide Page Indicator Dot in WatchKit?

I'm new to native development on xcode and have gotten started working with WatchKit to put together a Watch extension for my HTML5 hybrid app. I'm trying to figure out how to hide the indicator dot on a page-based app view. It looks like the iOS analogue provides the ability to hide the dot, but I can't seem to find anything for WatchKit. The Apple reference site doesn't appear to indicate any such functionality, and don't see any config in the storyboard. I've Googled and searched on StackOverflow, and haven't found anything there either.
Is it possible to hide the page indicator dot on a page-based app view? If so, how might I accomplish this?
It is currently not possible to hide page indicator.

Facebook like button in iPhone native application

This question seem duplicate but problem is that other question are old or not giving answer as my need.
What I have done:
I have integrated facebook for iOS 5 and iOS 6 both and it is sharing on wall properly.
Problem
My application have a UIButton "LIKE" to like my application page on facebook.
I want that if user click on this button he should be able to like that page.
I have search for hours but not able to get any proper solution.
For iOS 6 I get following link of apple iOS 6 site
iOS 6 with facebook
Here in third segment it show an image where app page is open in UIViewController with facebook like button.
and it said that we can open it without leaving our app.
I search but don't find how to open this page in UIViewController as we open dialog for share.
Ask me if you need more information.
Happy to get any kind of help or information.
As far as I know, the app shown by Apple with the Like button integrated (i.e. the App Store) is using a webview to display its content. This button is not something you get from a native code. The reason is that Facebook don't wan't to get Like actions without a user action to trigger it (I heard that from a Facebook guy at the App Day 2012 conference in Paris). And the only way to ensure that is to encapsulate and hide that in an HTML component.
What I would suggest is to instantiate a small webview displaying a page containing only the Like button of the desired page. Let us know if it work! ;-)
Mathieu is right, there is no way you can do that with a normal UIButton.
You have to use an iFrame (loaded in a UIWebView) if you want the button to like the page immediately. I did not like this approach as it takes some time for the iFrame to load.
More information can be found here: http://www.raywenderlich.com/1626/how-to-post-to-a-users-wall-upload-photos-and-add-a-like-button-from-your-iphone-app
I ended up having a UIButton that opens the Facebook page in Facebook.app or Safari.app. The user has to press the like button manually.
It's just allowed for testing purposes and iOS only.
