404 error when accessing Struts2 Web application - struts2

I had created a web application and committed the code in CVS. The web application is working good in my machine. When i tried to import the same code in another machine i am getting 404 error. I tried importing the code via ftp from my machine to another machine and also checking out the code from CVS. But still i get 404 error.
I also noticed that there is no error that had been captured in the console or in the application's log. Could someone help me in how to proceed further in identifying the issue. Please let me know if i need to post any further details regarding the issue.
I notice this issue to be in the Websphere server. I tried hosting the application in different machine and found that in few machine the same code is working good and some it is not. Is there any way to compare the server configuration?

In the WAS server 6.1 i added the below value in the web container and the application worked fine.
Steps:
In the server admin console, click on Application Server--> --> Web container--> custom properties.
Add the name as com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.invokefilterscompatibility and value as true.
Thank you all for the response.

Issue trying to launch sample project che-ide-server-extension

With Eclipse Che, I've recently been able to deploy the docker container without any issue as provided in the instructions.
I'm at the point where am trying to learn a bit more about extension development for Che, and I'm going through the small introduction on "developing your first plugin" located on the following page:
https://www.eclipse.org/che/docs/che-in-che-quickstart.html
I'm stuck at the point where I can successfully build and deploy the sample project by executing the Traefik Start, Tomcat8-IDE Start, Deploy IDE and Deploy Workspace Agent commands.
But when it comes time to navigate to the newly created 2nd workspace by clicking on the link provided in the IDE to go to the newly created 2nd workplace instance...:
... I end up getting redirected to the following error page:
I suspect that there may be some kind of configuration problem with the sample plugin project, or configuration problem with keycloak, but I'm at the point where I don't really know how to proceed in terms of troubleshooting.
(Update: 2018/07/31)
At request of #kalrsson for more information, below is a screenshot of the che-public client configuration in my Keycloak instance.
(SOLUTION Update: 2018/08/01)
Thanks to #kalrsson for pointing me in the right direction.
At first I tried only adding the needed URL to the "Valid Redirect URIs" list. Doing so allowed me to get past the issue were I was receiving the error "Invalid parameter: redirect_uri". However, this only presented me with a blank page. On this blank page, when I inspect the web browser console, I noticed the following error:
From there, I also tried to add the needed URL to WebOrigins in KeyCloak as seen below.
Doing this finally allowed me to fully load and render the secondary workspace
Can you go to keycloak_ip:5050/auth, login as admin/admin, clients, che-public, and the IP you use to redirect urls and webOrigins?
So, you need to previewURL:port both to redirectURIs and webOrigins

Unable to start debugging on the web server. The debugger cannot connect to the remote computer in MVC

I've just started to work on a MVC project. It's a web portal. I've set my sites on my local IIS 6.0
But when I want to start debugging, I get this error:
Unable to start debugging on the web server. The debugger cannot
connect to the remote computer. The debugger was unable to resolve the
specified computer name.
I don't understand that when I want to debug my project locally, what "Remote computer" it's talking about??!!
Please help me guys, this is my first task in this company and I have to overcome this error.
Check all the steps outlined here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dwesw3ee.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
If you're using a hosts file, make sure you have an entry for the site in question. That was the problem for me, when I encountered this message.
I have similar problem.
My first solution delete url site from iis repositories and project properties write localhost and port number if is it. And debug began working without restart. I also think, may be if add new url in windows host file this can fix this trouble but may be need restat iis or visual studio.

Why am I getting the message "The specified request cannot be executed from current Application Pool"?

Quite not sure why I see this error.
I navigate to my Login View like so http://test.staging.com/mywebsite/Login
My Login view was just redone using MVC but I have seen this same error message going to an aspx page as well...
If I use http I get the error message The specified request cannot be executed from current Application Pool.
If I use https://test.staging.com/mywebsite/Login, I'm good.
If I don't specify a protocol, test.staging.com/mywebsite/Login, I get the error as well
Is there an error happening under the covers and my custom error page can't be shown like discussed here?
What are some other causes of this error?
That usually means your custom errors are configured to run as a different AppPool.
You can read more at MSDN. (See section "Using Custom Errors from Another Application Pool").
There are two ways to correct this behavior. The first is possibly not one that you are interested in because it would require you to change your current architecture and run both sites in the same application pool (such as share the same worker process memory space). To do this, simply move the /errors virtual directory to run in the same application pool as the site for which it serves the custom error.
The second way is to make use of a registry key provided by IIS 6.0. This registry key makes sure IIS 6.0 does not check the metadata during the execution of the custom error and therefore allowing this to work.
See the article for information on the registry key fix.
It may also mean that you are using something along the lines of Server.Transfer to a page that is in a different AppPool.
It could be because you're using different versions of ASP.NET for one or many apps in the pool.
Make sure all apps in the pool use the same version of ASP (e.g. ASP 2.0.50727)
If you just added a new app, try changing the app momentarily to a different version of ASP, then back to same version. I experienced an issue where the displayed version was correct, but under the hood, a different version was used!
Check your event log, under Application, to get more details about the error.
The message would be caused by your page server-side redirecting to a page served by another application pool. Such as for example, in your link, the error page.
I know this is an old thread, but I stumbled upon it and found a different solution. Here's what worked for me: Make sure your application handles .asmx files correctly
From IIS:
Right Click on your project > Properties > Configuration
If necessary, add the .asmx file extension that maps to the aspnet_isapi.dll
Limit to: "GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG" and restart.
Because I can't comment on vcsjones's answer, I'll add it down here. The DWORD value IgnoreAppPoolForCustomErrors needs to be set under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC\ Parameters vs HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC referenced in that technet article. Set it to 1 and do an iisreset and you're good to go.

In my particular case, I received this error while trying to serve a content (non ASP.NET) website while it was an Application. Right-Clicking the virtual folder and removing the application fixed it for me.
In my case the application used the application pool that didn't exist. I have no idea how it's happened.

Utidev webserver's windows service not running

im trying to host my website developed in ASP.net4.0 in Ultidev's casini webserver 2.0.
bt when i try to host the same or click on http::/localhost:port, im getting following error.
Utidev webserver's windows service not running.
I dont hav clue on the windows service it's expecting.
Do i need to install any other dependencies ?
Please look at the error pic.
Please help me in this regard.
Thanks.
The host process for that application, DefaultSharedHostProcess, is having trouble starting. Look in the Windows Event Log, as well as "UWS.Installer.log.txt", "RegRepairTrace.txt" and "AppRegTrace.txt" files in the "%ProgramFiles%\UltiDev\Web Server" folder.
As there are a variety of circumstances which can lead to this error, you will need to edit your question and add in the relevant error details you discover from the logs, or go start a thread on UltiDev's support forum. For instance, I encountered this error because of a permissions issue to machine.config in a .NET 4 folder.
Ran into this today, and found if I recycle the host process, I was up and running.
In the UltiDev Web Server Explorer window on the left side, click on the Default Shared Host Process.
On the right side, you'll see a button named "Recycle Host Process". Click it, and answer Yes.
After this, the Windows Service started up, and I was able to communicate with my web app.

Can't resolve "UnauthorizedAccessException" with MVC 2 application running under IIS7

We use MVC controllers that access System.File.IO in our application and they work fine in localhost (IIS 6.0-based Cassini). Deploying to IIS7, we have problems getting the controllers to work because they throw UnauthorizedAccessExceptions.
We have done the following to try to resolve the issue:
- Set NETWORK SERVICE and IUSR accounts to have permission on the files and folders in question
- Ensured the App Pool is running under NETWORK SERVICE and loading the user profile
- Application is running under full trust
- We tried adding impersonation to web.config and giving NETWORK SERVICE write permissions (which was not a great idea because that's not what we want to do)
Now, we alternate between getting UnauthorizedAccessException and an IIS7 404 page that suggests the routes are being ignored completely (for example we serve "/favicon.ico" via a controller when the physical file actually lives at /content/images/favicon.ico). We used ProcessMonitor to try to track down the issue but weren't successful.
UPDATE:
This issue is intermittent. We had a brief few minutes where everything worked without making any configuration changes. We're running on EC2, so this could be related to a distributed file system. We're also using a separate drive to store all web site data, we're not using inetpub/wwwroot.
UPDATE 2:
The site works without incident under IIS 7.5, with no configuration changes needed but this is likely due to running with the new AppPoolIdentity. Otherwise it's an identical deployment. Unfortunately we can't run R2 on this EC2 instance.
One of the ways to identifying the cause is using Procmon tool from Sysinternals
Procmon will show the reason for unable to open the file , it will also show who is holding the file.
The issue turned out to be the controller factory we were using not handling file requests properly.
