Is it possible to change tab names for files with strange names? They can not be renamed on disk but it is difficult to keep up with mad file names in Sublime :D
In the ST console, enter view.set_name("My changed name"), replacing the content of the string with the name you want. You can also create a plugin to do this, again using the view#set_name api method.

I have the following problem. I want to rebrand the Chromium label to my own brand. I have tried this:
How to change Chromium browser logo and name?
so I have tried to replace all occurrences of "Chromium" or "Chrome" in the following files.
src/chrome/app/theme/chromium/BRANDING
src/chrome/app/generated_resources.grd
src/chrome/app/chromium_strings.grd
Now I need the browser to be in another language than English. Compiling the browser, some sections of the UI now have my new brand, but are still written in English, i.e. not translated. I suppose the reason is somewhere, that I have modified the .grd files as these are the template files for the translation. I have also looked into the associated .xtb files. There are the unique numerical ids for the translated string, and I think because I altered the occurences to my own brand in the template, the mapping between the string in the template and the translation in the .xtb file is corrupted.
How can I change the brand as suggested by Asesh in the link above and still have everything properly translated?
I have tried to modify the xtb files with my new brand name as well but the mapping did not work out between the id and the string in the template. I have read about GRIT but if I got it right, I cannot use the grit tool that comes with Chromium to just generate new numerical ids for the translations.
I have added a new column in the Order Search result by customizing the "Order_OrderSearchResult_CockpitGroup.xml" and adding its entry in "projectdata_cscockpit_ui_components.impex". I added the property value in both English and Japanese locale property files.
I ran the impex file again in HAC, then did a hybris update by selecting cscockpit and after that reset the user setting in cockpit menu. But I'm only able to see the English locale property and not the Japanese locale property while logging through Japanese locale.
Am I missing something?
Many thanks!
You have to add the label in i3-label_{lang code}.properties file?
I tried by adding the same Japanese property to both i3-label_en.properties and i3-label_ja.properties file by using normal characters as well as unicode but it was not reflecting even after hybris update and resetting personal settings in cockpit.
I resolved this issue by adding the Japanese property in unicode in the customized cockpit locales_en.properties and locales_ja.properties file. Since our website is not using English characters, so I had to add same Japanese property in both files. Not the best way, but yes this workaround worked for me.
I'm using Atom as my editor for projects. When i get existing projects and want to remove elements from several files, i want to make a "Search and Replace" throughout my project.
But instead of replacing the element, i want to remove it.
Is there a string or symbol which i can put into the replace field to
"remove" my searched element?
I'm not familiar with Atom, but with a typical editor you would remove the found item by replacing it with an empty string.
I have created a global data type, and use form renderer in a page to let user fill in the data and submit to website.
The default English is working fine.
now when I try to support the second language I run into issues. According to the composite documentation:
1.Add your empty localization file at ~/Frontend/CompositeForms/Renderer/Localization/, for example: Composite.FormsRenderer.de-de.xml
2.Copy the contents of the default Composite.FormsRenderer.en-us.xml to your localization file.
3.Translate the strings.
4.In ~/App_Data/Composite/Composite.config, under the section locate Composite.Plugins.FormsRenderer's add section and register your localization file
but ~/Frontend/CompositeForms/Renderer/Localization does not exist, and neither does Composite.FormsRendereren-us.xml exists.
is the documentation outdated? does anyone had experience with localizing form renderer on user defined data type?
thanks
The documentation IS outdated at the moment (and will be updated soon - thanks for pointing it out).
Do it in the following way on 4.0 or later:
Make a copy of ~/Composite/InstalledPackages/localization/Composite.Forms.Renderer.en-us.xml, changing the language/culture code from 'en-us' to your language's (e.g. Composite.Forms.Renderer.de-de.xml).
Translate the strings.
No need to change anything in ~/App_Data/Composite/Composite.config any more.
I want to use a latex editor that has auto completion feature for existing references in a latex file. Do you know any good ones? I am trying to find this feature in texniccenter, but I guess it doesn't exist or I could't find it yet.
Update:
Ok, I found how to enable auto completion in Texniccenter. I needed first create a project. Then open the file in this project (or copy its text). Now Ctrl-Space inside a \ref{} tag completes the reference automatically.
Texlipse does this, also with Ctrl+Space.
Inlage includes such a function, too. New commands and new environments will also appear in the auto completion list. If you use extern BibTex files the \cite{} command will open a list with your articles and books from you .bib file.

Kile has reference completion. If you type Ctrl+Space inside of a \ref{}, you get a list of all the references (that existed last time you compiled, of course).
LEd presents a click list of them when in a \ref{}
The RefTeX mode for Emacs will do what you're asking for: the shortcut C-c ) activates the "insert a \ref" mode (of course, you can customize which type of reference: fancyref, hyperref, etc) and pressing TAB will allow you to start typing and autocomplete by tabbing again after typing some characters.
It also figures out (or asks if it can't) what sort of ref you're inserting and shows a list of all the defined \labels in your document, selectable with the arrow keys or C-n / C-p.
Now we just need a Vi user to come along and tell us how to do it there...
Now texmaker does, not need any special key.
